Thanks for the additional information and digging deeper mayorninja :)
Hi Tom,
What did you previously have set that you were seeing the videos as previews? I’m not aware of any theme setting for it so I’m not sure what may have changed.
The only way I knew(know) of to show the videos in the blog overview would be to have the blog show the full content of the post which will then show whatever you have in the body of the post.

Devin
Hi kleinpenning,
Please only post a single topic for a question. I’ve answered your other post already here: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/maintenance-page#post-135604

August 27, 2013 at 11:54 am in reply to: Problem with different browsers – Images don't show properly #137199I just noticed you are using WordPress 3.6 and have not updated your theme to 1.9.1+ . You *must* be using the newest version of the theme for any of the themes javascript to function with WordPress 3.6.
For a quick guide on updating your theme take a look at this video on updating the Enfold theme via FTP: htps://vimeo.com/channels/aviathemes/67209750
August 27, 2013 at 11:52 am in reply to: Search Function digs too deep and pick up HTML code #137746Hi turner2f,
As Peter mentioned the search function isn’t custom to the theme. Its just the regular WordPress core search query.
If you want to modify that you would need to use either a plugin that also has support for its own php query so you can modify the ajax code as Peter mentioned or look into a freelance developer to customize the plugin to do so.

Devin
Hi malaedukacja,
The dummy data isn’t an exact duplicate of the theme demo. There are some limitations in how the data is imported as well as what images Kriesi is able to re-distribute.
But just about everything is there and if you have any questions the video tutorials here should help: https://vimeo.com/channels/aviathemes

August 27, 2013 at 11:48 am in reply to: Enfold – Sliders compatability with Firefox, Chrome etc. #137763Hi BoomerangMedia,
With using WordPress 3.6 you must update your theme files to 1.9.1+ which was the 3.6 update for the theme.
For a quick guide on updating your theme take a look at this video on updating the Enfold theme via FTP: https://vimeo.com/channels/aviathemes/67209750

Hi eRoxanne,
If you imported the dummy data try checking for the “Homepage” page and then you should see that as an excerpt in the excerpt field. If you don’t have the excerpt field showing then go to the top right of the screen and click on Screen Options to then click on the excerpt check box.
Regards,
Devin
Sometimes it can get turned off by a plugin getting installed or an update so if you ever see it just not show up try checking the Screen Options first :)

Hi navidsatan,
I don’t know of any specific widgets but a good starting point that I usually put on sites I’m building is:
1) Text Widget with some text aimed at your reader
2) Recent Posts
3) Twitter widget generated from your twitter feed (https://twitter.com/settings/widgets) or a plugin for it
4) Company contact info or newsletter subscription widget

Hi 180nj,
You’ll need to have a freelance developer handle customizations like that. Its a bit beyond what we can assist with via support.

Hi jamiepmg,
It sounds like it might be a server configuration issue. Check your local server settings against your live settings and see if there are any differences.

Hi Yucozt,
We’ll need to see your site and take a look at it live. If you have not already updated to Enfold 2.0.1 and are using WordPress 3.6 you’ll need to do that.
For a quick guide on updating your theme take a look at this video on updating the Enfold theme via FTP: https:/vimeo.com/channels/aviathemes/67209750

Hi juliearagon,
Do you mean the Advanced Layout Editor button? Can you try going to the top right corner of the page editing screen and clicking on Screen Options and then checking the box for Advanced Layout Editor.

Devin

Hi glenclay,
I’m not actually getting it to work at all. It looks like something you’ve minified or are trying to load from cached data is breaking the pages ability to load scripts at all.
Your best source for diagnosing issues with W3TC directly would be their support forums.

Hi kleinpenning,
If you want to actually block of the rest of your site you’ll need to use a plugin like http://wordpress.org/plugins/ultimate-maintenance-mode/ .
The blank page template isn’t a full lock down for the site and is just to act as a placeholder to prevent the main index from showing.

Devin
Hi kalvin,
Can you give a bit more detail on what you’ve tried to use to show the short preview text for blog posts on overview pages? The more tag works for me on my site (http://devinvinson.com/ ) as well as on the demo: http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/blog/
Regards,
Devin
I’ll try and get one this week if possible.
For now, when you go to a portfolio item to edit it you should see on the right hand side of the page a meta box labeled “Featured Image”. If you click on the link in the meta box to add a featured image you’ll then give that portfolio item a designated image to show in the 3 column layout.
Just repeat for each portfolio item.
Glad its working now :)

Devin
Hi basilefanon,
So far this is the only case of this happening and as far as I know there is no fix or anything released to address it since we have not been able to reproduce it.
Nick is no longer support staff so you can either send it to Peters email at the top or through Kriesi’s contact page.
Regards,
Devin
Hi Ola ,
It may be possible but it would need to be done by a freelance developer who can come up with a custom solution for you.

Devin
Hi DavyE,
Lets take a look at it live. I’m not sure whats going on but being able to inspect it in IE8 live and see whats going on first hand should provide some insight.
Regards,
Devin
The only thing I can think of is that there is something preventing the page from showing on the front end. Either a caching plugin or server side caching.
You can try adding a fake class on the button and see if it gets reflected on your sites source code but also you can force the change with a bit of css:
#header .avia-button-wrap.avia-button-right {
margin-top: 25px !important;
}This is just a bandaid though.

Devin
Hi Jean-Marie,
You would need to have a secondary menu created and then use a conditional statement in the header to show that menu and hide the other if you are on the homepage alone.
I’m not entirely sure it will work without trying it but either way it would need to be done by a freelance developer as its quite a bit beyond what we can assist with via support.
Regards,
Devin
I’ll close the topic for now, but keep an eye out for the next release.
Regards,
Devin
You can try adding a margin to any of the grid sort containers with:
.grid-sort-container {
margin-bottom: 50px;
