Hi phaseonebarbers!
In this specific case developing locally is probably not a good idea. You could export the database each time and then re-import it but doing so often is just leaving you open to a small error happening and that causing issues for you down the road.
I would suggest setting up a live development installation at somewhere like Bluehost. You can get setup for a month for under $30 and then do an export of the database later on if you need to move everything to a different domain: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/move-from-a-local-installation-to-a-live-server/
Cheers!
DevinHi reddoorchurch!
Theme documentation is here: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/
In the full download of the theme, psd, license etc there is a link to it as well.
For a good general resource for WordPress I recommend: http://www.wpbeginner.com/

DevinThis is a screenshot from a text block using the advanced layout builder: http://www.clipular.com/c/5719116761530368.png?k=cKLNkftLJGIAoupsJ3zeNHJsvvQ
So yes, this is using the advanced layout builder.
Can we see the page live? Please keep the css added in to your Quick CSS field.
Hey targetzero!
Sounds like you may have a plugin or an extension of Jetpack on which is causing an issue with the theme. Enfold by default lets you choose the layout you want and one of those is a Fixed layout with no responsive functionality.
There isn’t however any settings to disable or switch between a mobile version and a desktop version.
Cheers!
DevinHey mtmfx!
You would need to not have the page as a child of that page as far as I know. The codex may have something more http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Permalinks

DevinHi!
With the number of menu items you have my guess is that your servers hitting its limit in the number of things it can save at once, eg the max input vars.
Talk to your hosting provider about increasing the values as suggested here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/10303714/php-max-input-vars
For now, I’ve set the menu using the secondary tab “Manage Locations” in your menus manager which seems to stick and isn’t running into the issues of the server slowing down and trying to save that much data at once.
Cheers!
DevinJanuary 14, 2014 at 9:34 pm in reply to: Double links to my home page in the Enfold BreadCrumbs #209701Hey!
When you say you set the home page to nothing, do you mean you set it to “Your latest posts” or just unset the front page? Try both setting that to Your Latest Posts with the home page and blog set in the theme settings and the opposite setting the home page and blog from WordPress and not set at all in the theme options.
Best regards,
DevinHey targetzero!
First clear the cache of your caching plugin. Then deactivate it and all other plugins you have active. You can keep WooCommerce itself active since it is compatible with the theme.
See if that helps and then you can re-activate your plugins one by one to find the one causing the issue. Leave your caching plugin until last since it has the most complex individual setup. If you are, for instance, combining and minifying all javascript that has been known to cause issues.
Best regards,
DevinThe settings are far to easy to set incorrectly unfortunately. Try going through each step in the slide, saving, testing on the page live and then moving on to make sure that each step is rendering how you want it.
LayerSlider isn’t something that Kriesi developed but instead comes bundled with the theme. So there are some things that we are unable to change in order to keep it updated.

January 14, 2014 at 9:18 pm in reply to: Read More Tag ignored in Enfold Portfolio Preview Text #209689Hey!
Are you meaning the Ajax portfolio view or something else? Can you provide a link to the page so we can take a look at exactly what kind of setup you have now and point to an example of what isn’t working.
Regards,
DevinThe parent import settings will import in what you have on the parent them. WordPress settings, like the menu, still need to be manually set by you.
January 14, 2014 at 9:06 pm in reply to: Issues when moving wordpress&enfold to another path or site #209677Hey karbonato!
Exporting your database using WP MIGRATE DB is the best way that I know of and why I recommended it in the docs: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/move-from-a-local-installation-to-a-live-server/
As long as the settings are correct it should export them without issue. The only other thing I can think of that might cause an issue is if the new server has different settings than your local server.
Aside from that I’m not sure what else we could suggest as this has worked for me on my client work as well as the other support crew when working local to live.
Cheers!
DevinHey creativeyes!
No, Enfold is the only theme with the advanced layout builder.

DevinHi sahlen!
You can disable the themes prettyPhoto implementation by opening js>avia.js and then looking for and deleting these lines:
//activates the prettyphoto lightbox $(container).avia_activate_lightbox({callback:'avia_lightbox_callback'});
Regards,
DevinWe dicussed this a bit internally as Josue wasn’t getting the videos in FF on his end. It looks like when the individual users hardware supports the mp4 decoding then it will work for them but if not then FF doesn’t have support for mp4 otherwise: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/HTML/Supported_media_formats
January 14, 2014 at 6:33 pm in reply to: Logo becomes very small on tablet screens when having a lot of menu text #209598Hi Hirschjaeger123!
The best solution and I think really the only one is to have less main menu items. The only other option would be to change when the menu switches to the mobile menu following these steps: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/top-menu-with-the-social-icons-bigger?replies=5#post-132320

DevinHi pako69!
For each “section”wrap it in a Color Section element when building your page in the advanced layout builder and in that Color Section’s settings add the name of the ID that will be used as the anchor.
Then in the WordPress menus manager you will add custom links to the menu pointing to those ID’s.

DevinJanuary 14, 2014 at 6:14 pm in reply to: ajax slider gallery w menu bar (can u do this with enfold?) #209584Shortcode stacking isn’t quite supported yet but you could generate the shortcode for each slider in another page and then paste it into the tab. I’m not sure if it will work completely however.
Another option would be to use another slider plugin like NextGen and see if you can just paste the slideshow shortcode from that into the tab section.
Hey!
You can add that to the theme’s Styling tab in the theme options into the Quick CSS field or in the custom.css file in the css folder.
This is a good guide for getting started with bbpress: http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-add-a-forum-in-wordpress-with-bbpress/
Best regards,
DevinHi!
The preview is not an exact duplication of the LayerSlider on the front end but an approximation under the best possible circumstances. It doesn’t load into the full width container, doesn’t run against any other scripts or css loading etc.
I would try simplifying the second slide and break it into multiple slides. The overlaps on the text items is probably in how the plugin is trying to fit the content into the window based on the initial layout you created in the editor.
For complex layouts its best if you don’t need to rely on pixel perfect reproduction since the site and slideshow is responsive and it changes as the user has a different size screen or just adjusts their window.

DevinHey!
Please reply with admin account credentials so we can log in and take a look. Make sure to check the box for “Set as private reply” so that the reply can only be seen by the support crew.
The functions file you have right now has the entire top section commented out which means it is not active. I’m not sure if you did this on purpose or on accident but seeing it live and without the forum editing will help us see what might be happening.

DevinJanuary 14, 2014 at 5:41 pm in reply to: Need help with unwanted changes noticed after last update #209562I would suggest deactivating all active plugins and then re-saving the permalink settings a few times (changing to default at least once) then see how it looks on your end.
Make sure to also clear you local browser cache so that you aren’t getting incorrect old cached files.
Hi!
When you switch to a child theme you are technically switching themes. All theme settings are saved to your currently active theme by its name.
So WordPress loads Enfold and pulls the options saved for the Enfold theme in the database. When you activate a child theme you are using Enfold-Child which is completely different data. So your menu, theme options etc will not be loaded by default.
We added a button on the main theme options to import in your parent options to make the transition easier as it will import in the theme options you set in the parent.
Quick Edit: WordPress specific options still need to be re-saved.

Devin-

Devin.
If the front page cache disable isn’t working you may want to try changing where the front page is designated. So in the theme options don’t set the front page and instead do it in the WordPress Settings>Reading settings.
January 14, 2014 at 5:30 pm in reply to: Change Woocommerce category name font size and style #209546Hi!
You can tweak the css a bit to only target your archive pages like this:
#top.archive .products .product h3 { padding-top: 5px; font-size: 15px; line-height: 18px; font-weight: normal; margin: 0; font-family: "Georgia", "Times New Roman", Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-weight: 600; text-transform: uppercase; }
The horizontal line however isn’t doable through support as you would need to add a custom function to filter the category name output to add the additional html needed to get the same effect.
Cheers!
DevinJanuary 14, 2014 at 5:26 pm in reply to: Multiple Shortcode icons on the same line inside an Iconbox #209544Hi!
You can have them float site wide by adding the following to your Quick CSS in the themes Styling tab or custom.css file:
span.av_font_icon { float: left; line-height: 17px; }
The change in line height is so they don’t take up 2 lines.

Hi!
I just checked the site with a fresh download of FF on 10.9.1 and the videos loaded up and I was able to play them the same as in Chrome.
You may want to try re-installing FF and updating your OS in case there was something specific in 10.9.1 that changed things. If you have any FF extensions or plugins installed make sure to try disabling them as well.
Cheers!
DevinThe easiest way would be to change them into an icon font. Fontello has an upload section at the top for your own svg files so that it can then re-package them into a download for you.
Otherwise you would need to inspect each icon item, hide the font character and then replace it with a background image of that icon you want to use.
That would need to be done for each individual icon in the icon list.
