    Hi Guys,

You helped me set up a Mobile Redirect for my home page as my landing page (www.jonnyfreesh.com) isn’t very suitable for mobile devices. Here is the thread detailing what you told me to do – https://kriesi.at/support/topic/homepage-redirect-on-mobile-sites/

I was playing around with the settings of W3T Cache and discovered that if I have page caching enabled (which I believe is pretty important) then the mobile redirect doesn’t work. Any way to fix this?

    Thanks

    Jonny

    Hi!

Have you tried flushing your Cache?

Many times. I went through all the options in WT3 Cache and flushed in between to decipher which specific option was causing the issue.

    Hi!

I don’t know of any off hand but I image there is at least one plugin out there somwhere that has a mobile specific option that will work around caching.

If not you could try looking into if any of the popular caching plugins have a way to prevent caching on a specific page or pages.

    Regards,
    Devin

W3T Cache has an option for preventing caching on the front page, which is where the re-direct is, but even with it disabled and page caching enabled the mobile redirect still doesn’t work. My site speed doesn’t seem to suffer too much from not caching pages but if there is any other way you can think of being able to fix this, please let me know.

    Thanks

If the front page cache disable isn’t working you may want to try changing where the front page is designated. So in the theme options don’t set the front page and instead do it in the WordPress Settings>Reading settings.
