Sure can, this is the test page of the portfolio grid:

    http://goo.gl/p0PNC

Click on any item and you’ll see the “Next” button will always refer to the last item in that list.

And perhaps this problem is also related to what causes it:

in reply to: Help, portfolio items don't allow fullwidth items! #129222

    Sidebar already IS disabled.

Here’s a preview of the test page:

As you can see, the grey background should be a fullwidth Content Section and the picture slider below should be a fullwidth easyslider. I really need to get this fixed asap. :(

Same here. I used Chrome on W8 and OSX, Safari on OSX and Internet Explorer 10 on W8.

in reply to: Enfold performs very poorly with Google Chrome #128902

Sorry, I don’t know SEO Quake Bar. :(

Both of your pages look fine in my Chrome. I’d say try logging out of WP and then check the site again. Maybe the WP admin bar is interfering with it?

in reply to: Testimonial Slider – Enfold Theme #128749

    What you can do is:

    1) Open a blank page or create a new one

    2) Add only the testimonial slider and fill it with the right content

    3) Click the “Templates” button on the top right of your Avia Layout Builder content

    4) Click “Save Entry as Template” and give it a name

    5) Close the page (shouldn’t need to save this page)

    6) Open the page where you want to add the testimonial slider and click that “Templates” button again

    7) Choose the name you gave the testimonial slider and it will be added to the bottom of your page content

Once added, you can reposition it as usual.

Keep in mind that any further changes you make after you saved it won’t be saved to the template. So if you ever lose the testimonial slider, you can add it again from the templates but it will be the version it was when you originally saved that.

It’s better than nothing, and I’m not fond of this method. Just for this issue I don’t use the testimonial slider. It should really be a central item where you change it once and it changes everywhere it’s shown, like a widget etc.

Perhaps there are better alternatives, so best wait for possible feedback from others.

in reply to: Bug in AJAX portfolio preview image? #128588

Unfortunately, that’s not the solution. :(

First, I haven’t changed anything about the theme or any code whatsoever since adding all 8 test images in a row. So there’s no reason why they should be regenarated. All thumbnails were added with the exact same dimensions. If they were different, they would also be different in the portfolio grid (they are set to no scaling). Yet in the grid they are all exactly the same, so why change in the AJAX preview?

Second, I already tried regenarating the thumbnails with that plugin, to no avail.

Third, the dimensions in the AJAX preview seem totally random. If I put text in the AJAX preview section, then the image is scaled to about 2/3 page width and the text area to 1/3 width, as seen on the Enfold demo site. If I enter nothing or only one or two words in it, then the image is scaled to about 1/4 page width and the text area to 3/4 width. Yet, in this last case the image is not strictly 1/4 of the page width, but sometimes more and sometimes less.

To show you an example, see this link: http://goo.gl/p0PNC

Clicking on the first logo will show you the correct dimensions of that logo in the AJAX preview, but once you start navigating through other logos you will notice the change in dimensions between each logo. Completely random, it seems, though I personally assume it has something to do with the amount of text (longer texts or titles force the image to become bigger, smaller texts or titles force it to become smaller). For example the HML logo is small in preview, and it has only 3 letters. The Horst Pöppel logo is bigger, as the name is also bigger (name is even forced on two lines, why?).

    Thanks in advance.

And one other question about the AJAX preview, but not related to the above issue:

Is there a way to set the “Slideshow” function in the AJAX preview properties as standard instead of “Gallery”, please? It’s an immense job to manually change this for hundreds of items.

in reply to: Bug in AJAX portfolio preview image? #128586

FYI: I just refreshed the page and noticed the preview image that was corrected after an update is now wrong again. Haven’t changed anything about that image or even that portfolio item.

I am already using 1.7. The reason why you see 1.6 in the source code is because I’m using a child theme in which I added Version nr 1.6 and haven’t changed the number to 1.7 since I updated Enfold to the latest version.

in reply to: My menu not working well with touch devices #127476

Thanks, but I would really prefer to not use the compact menu for landscape tablet view. so some kind of deselect trigger would be REALLY helpful.

Let’s hope Kriesi find a solution for this. Even if I do use this temporary solution for an iPad 2, it doesn’t fix the issue for Retina iPads, right?

in reply to: Upgrade to 3.5.2 #128110

Got latest Enfold version and latest WP version running, no issues whatsoever, so far.

Tried about 15 times in a row now, doesn’t seem to change at all for me. :(

Nope, it’s already Stretched Layout. :(

I’m sorry, I forgot to mention that the sidebar has nothing to do with it. I only activated it to make the problem more visible. Check the links above again to see how it looks without the sidebar.

As you can see, the fullscreen slider is still forced to a certain width instead of fullscreen. Something must still be wrong. No sidebar issue.

in reply to: My menu not working well with touch devices #127474

    Hi Nick,

    This is what I did:

    1) Create main menu with all the pages from the selection box on the left, as usual.

    2) Create 3 custom menu items with, indeed, a # as hyperlink so it doesn’t open any page by clicking on it.

    3) Drag all page items below it’s respective custom menu item.

I have the mobile slide-out menu activated, but it is still the desktop menu on my iPad 2 in landscape mode. I do get the slide-out menu when turning to portrait mode, but not on landscape. Actually, I like it that way, it would be rather awkward to have that menu button in landscape mode as for me the menu fits perfectly well in landscape mode. I just need to find a way to close the menu again when you don’t want to click through to a another page.

Let’s hope you find a fix.

    Thanks!

in reply to: Scroll to top not visible in mobile/tablet view #124521

Have the same on my iPad 2.

Sure you can! 2 versions, both with exact same content, just different ordering of the items. Version 1 has the fullscreen slider below the video, version 2 has the slider above the video. As you can see, the problem only appears when it’s below the video. And it doesn’t matter how much other content there is between the video and the slider, as soon as there is a video anywhere before the slider, it’s messed up.

I’ve centered both the image and text in the slider so you get an idea of how wrong it is.

in reply to: Creation of the Kriesi A-Z of useful tweaking tips #127693

I’m totally with you on that, andypeck. Not sure if formateins was being sarcastic or not, but I must say I would definitely find it by far the best WP plugin available if the Avia Layout Builder was indeed a standalone. Pick any theme you want, but still have the incredibly awesome Avia builder. But of course, this theme is great nonetheless, so not that important for me, personally.

I am just not sure whether it should really be a CSS-only topic. Why not an Enfoldpedia where there are all kinds of tips and tricks and tutorials etc about the theme? It could contain lots of CSS information, but also plenty more information about how to seamlessly integrate 3rd party plugins, change rather complex settings, optimize performance, and so on. So, anything related to using Enfold.

Perhaps even a collection of running websites for others to see the possibilities or be inspired. I understand that many people/companies rather not publicly show their company id on the theme, but for those that don’t mind it would be a great addition.

Also, who said we have to expect the developers to do all this work? Maybe the community could create such a pedia (after discussing the possible rights and usage with the authors, ofc). There is always the risk of something not being 100% correct, but with a bunch of info available and multiple people contributing and perhaps even Enfold specialists checking the info now and then, it could help many people.

    The advantages would logically be:

    – One central location with all the info about the theme.

    – Many people being stuck with an issue would find a solution there, meaning they can fix it without having to wait for an answer on the forum.

    – The reduction in support tickets would give the developers some extra time, which would allow them to sometimes check the pedia info or add their own pieces of info.

    – People who haven’t bought the theme yet would see the great community behind Enfold, see the ocean of info available and show them in more detail how great this theme works. I’m sure this would cause an increase in sales.

So I assume it would be a win-win for both the author and customer here. Not sure what you guys think, and what the Kriesi & Co think. :)

Ok, apparently it’s a bug that made this not work. I saw that the fullscreen slider usually does force to fullwidth without sidebar, but on the page where I had added the fullscreen slider, there were Youtube videos added above the slider.

In my page I have deleted everything above the slider except for a youtube video (inserted through the avia layout builder). So there’s no doubt about it being the video messing it up.

I presume something isn’t closing correctly? This is the code available in the debug mode:

    [av_video src='https://youtu.be/censored' format='16-9' width='16' height='9']

    [av_fullscreen size='extra_large' animation='slide' autoplay='false' interval='5']

    [av_fullscreen_slide id='2557']

    [/av_fullscreen]

Woah, this is just too awesome! This theme gets better by the minute.

You guys are wonderful, and Kriesi is a GENIUS!!!

in reply to: Looking for recommendation for SWYN plugin #126948

I’ve now tried AddThis and Wp-Socializer, too, among some other plugins not mentioned above. So far I prefer the Socializer.

    Just my opinion.

in reply to: Looking for recommendation for SWYN plugin #126946

Just tried sexybookmarks myself, and have already deleted it again. Perhaps Dude had a better experience with it, but I find it a very bad plugin. Slows down the site, a lot, and causes some layouting conflicts (menu items losing the text in them while still being clickable; old CSS styles being shown first, then switching to the custom CSS; images flickering while being loaded; …).

As soon as I deleted the plugin, all problems were gone and it was back to normal.

in reply to: Undoing Quick CSS #125546

If you’ve “added” that CSS, can’t you just delete it again? It will then go back to it’s original state. Unless you mean “changed”, in that case I’m not sure how to set it back. Just change it back to the size it was before, but if you can’t remember that, it’s perhaps an idea to check in a backup what size it had?

in reply to: Avia admin pop-up panel conflict #125799

    I LOVE YOUUUU!!! :)

Changed it to 150px and it’s perfect now, thanks so much! 150px isn’t too much for me as I’m using a 27 inch display, so got plenty of room left.

in reply to: Shortcode in Avia builder #122976

Hmm, ok thanks for the information, but how do you suggest I add the shortcode in the desired location, then?

There are only the Enfold preset shortcodes in the advanced editor, so I assume you can’t add third-party shortcodes that way, but having to use the default editor means I can’t use any layouting, right?

Is there a workaround to still get the new shortcodes in the exact place in the layout?

in reply to: Third-party plugin shortcodes not visible #122371

    Thanks for the replies.

    – Not the memory: 53.83 MB of 256.00 MB ~ 21.03 %

    – With not visible I mean there is no option to add the third party info in my editor. The shortcodes icon on the left of the wysiwyg shows only the preset shortcodes of the Enfold theme itself, but not the new shortcode for the event calendar plugin. There should be an option there to add calendar info. I suppose new buttons won’t be visible in this theme and I will always need to add the script-shortcode in the default editor manually?

in reply to: Shortcode to exclude content on mobile devices #122328

This would be very interesting, I’d like that too.

I really want to know the answer to this too, so I’ll keep an eye on this thread. I’ve already asked something similar in the past, but the answer then was that it’s too complicated or impossible to duplicate that section. Let’s hope it was just miscommunication.

in reply to: Menu broken in Responsive mode #121712

Coincidentally I was trying my test-website on my ipad and noticed the same issue: both menu’s appear when you open the page in landscape and turn it to portrait mode. I don’t think I tried loading the page directly in portrait mode, so not sure if it would be ok then, but turning from landscape to portrait definitely does mess it up. What I would expect it to do is to only show the small menu in portrait mode, my desktop menu is too long to fit (especially in other languages).

Glad it’s not just me. :)

in reply to: Hardcoded text :( #122017

    Good to know, thank you.
