Hi @Ismael,
yes, I know these six options – page & socket is the standard config I want.
I’m just wondering how to disable the footer and keep the socket on single pages (there are only four options in the per-page footer settings.)
Hi @Ismael,
thank you so much! I overlooked the custom post type registration in the docu. Works like a charme.
About the other issue, just to clarify:
I have the followin per-page options:
Option 1 – Standard Layout (page as footer + socket)
Option 2 – Use selected pages as footer + socket
Option 3 – Use selected page to display as footer (no socket)
Option 4 – Use neither footer nor socketWhen I choose option 2, the result is the same as with option 1 – both footer & socket get displayed.
When I choose option 3, only the page gets displayed.
When I choose option 4, neither get’s displayed. So I’m basically missing a fifth option “display socket only”.
Credentials attached.
greetings, Ritchie
Hi Rikard,
thanks, but this is the setting I’m talking about – the respective option doesn’t have any effect.
Also, there is a second weird issue: page footer works perfectly fine on posts and pags, but the layout gets broken on custom post types:

This happens with all custom post types. Thanks for your help and have a great Sunday!

Hi @Mike,
thanks for getting back to me!
I tried the following:
– deactivated all plugins
– searched my theme directory for the codeI cannot find it anywhere. Not even with my css inspector. Can you please tell me where/how you found that dreaded burger-eating code ;) ?
Thanks, Ritchie
@Victoria, THANK YOU!!
Hi @Victoria,
thanks for your quick reply – that’s no problem. Can you please tell me which template I need to edit to remove the “by” and change the order for the magazine element?
greetings, Ritchie
@Ismael, thank you so much for the super-fast reply! You rule. Also, I’ll never forget the difference between visibility and display again :)
Hey Yigit,
THX! You rock.
greetings,
Ritchie@smartstartinc You’re absolutely right – I know how to use custom css :)
Just in case anybody googulates this:
#searchsubmit {width:130px !important;} #s {width:350px !important; border:1px solid #d4e4f1 !important;}
Hi @Victoria,
thanks for the heads-up! Would it be possible to simply adjust the width of the blue box with the magnifying glass in it?
greetings,
RitchieHi guys,
any ideas about the search icon?
thx,

thanks for asking – yes, I’m quite fine. And totally amazed by the 4.4 / 4.5 updates.
I activated the titles – works fine, only problem is though that I only want to use these titles for my cat/archive/tax pages. (as all the exisiting pages / blogpostings do have “manual” titles). Is there any way to activate the titles/breadcrumbs but then NOT to display them on postings/pages?

sorry for going back to this, but I can’t figure it out – been through all the threads, but I just can’t figure out how to display the titles.
The above snippet doesn’t seem to be working… any ideas?greetings, Ritchie
Same here – worked perfectly in private mode. thx!

July 16, 2018 at 9:25 am in reply to: Last updated date insertion / problem with avia blog postings #985871Dear Mike,
thank you very much!!! I could never have come up with this solution – that’s a genius idea, it works brilliantly.
Again, thanks a lot!
greetings from Vienna,
RitchieHi Ismael,
THANK YOU SO MUCH! You’re a genius – I’ll find another print/pdf solution easily.
greetings,
RitchieHi Ismael,
no problem – I use “snippets” and I entered the code into functions.php via snippets.
And yes, feel free to deativative any plugins while debugging!
thank you,
RitchieHi Ismael,
the issue only occurs on pages (and other content types) when I use the full-with slider.
This page is fine:

RitchieHi Ismael,
the swp-container-locator class is inserted by Social Warfare, my share buttons plugin. I deactivated it (actually both, they split the free/pro version in two plugins which need to be active at the same time) and the div was gone – but unfortunately, the sidebar layout is still broken without this div.
The weird part is that this only happens when I use a full-size slideshow, but not on “normal” pages:

Hi Victoria,
thanks for getting back to me so quickly – I set up a login. I use Borlabs Cache, all caching features are deactivated for admins by default.
But please feel free to deactivate the cache or other plugins as needed. I first suspected social warfare, but deactivating it didn’t help.
thanks, Ritchie
Hi,
just a short heads-up: I had the same problem – upload worked, but zip wasn’t inserted. Then I switched from Chrome which I normally use to Firefox, just for the zip insertion. And it worked on the spot.
greetings,
RitchieDear Mike,
thanks a lot – this is exactly what I tried to achieve.
Working flawlessly (I entered the code in Enfold’s Quick CSS field).

RitchieMarch 18, 2018 at 5:10 pm in reply to: Category Title & Description on custom taxonomy category pages #928739PS @Ismael – is there a way to sort the output of the litcat custom taxonomy alphabetically by title?
March 16, 2018 at 2:27 pm in reply to: Category Title & Description on custom taxonomy category pages #928112Hi Ismael,
thanks a lot! I added the filter to my functions php, but the titles do not show up – do I have to change something in the archive.php file as well?
greetings,
RitchieHi @Hokuspokus,
Enfold is a lightning-fast theme when combined with a good caching solution – I’ve switched to WPRocket two years ago and I’m very satisfied. It’s not free, but it saves you from installing a couple of plugins (minification, lazy load, static query strings, unloading emojis…)
Google’s CDNs are quite fast – but I definitely DO NOT want to globally deactivate all Google fonts. I just want to host the ones I use (3) on my own server.
