    Hello,
    i’ve recently bought enfold theme, generated an api key via envato market, and pasted into the Enfold/theme update page.
    Then i receive the notification to update the theme, but when i try to update clicking on “update themes” i get an istant error:

    There was an error during the Enfold update: The download did not go well. A valid URL was not provided.

    What i can do? I’m working from some weeks on the website, so please dont ask me to modify stuff via ftp.

    Hey original52,

    Please post us your login credentials (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend.

    1. Install and activate ” Temporary Login Without Password “.
    2. Go to ” Users > Temporary Logins ” on the left-side menu.
    3. Click ” Create New “.
    4. Add the email address for the account ( you can use (Email address hidden if logged out) ), as well as the ” Role ” making that the highest possible and the expiry about four days
      ( do be sure that we have enough time to debug ).
    5. Click ” Submit “.
    6. You’ll now have a temporary account. Please provide us here in the private section the URL, so we can login and help you out.

    When your issue is fixed, you can always remove the plugin!
    If you prefer to not use the plugin, you can manually create a admin user and post the login credentials in the “private data” field.

    You can now login as Administrator via “temporary login without password” for 3 days.

    Do i have to wait your fix as mentioned by Nikko or do i have to try by myself as you said Victoria?
    Just tell me, to avoid that we work together on the same thing.

    Sorry for the problem. The update to 4.5.x has to be done manually from the version you are running unfortunately, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541

    You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/

    I have manually updated the php version, enabled the PHP ZipArchive Extension, and used “Update Theme and Plugins from Zip File” to update.
    It seems all is working fine.
    The only strange thing is that i have a normal text menu plus a “burger menu” icon on the homepage, don’t know if it’s a bug, how i can disable it?

    Hi original52,

    I could not see the same issue.
    I see normal text menu on ipad portrait/landscape and desktop and on mobile phone I see only the burger menu.
    Try clearing the browser cache, it must just be a caching issue.
