Anyone having this issue? I’m trying to update the theme through the dashboard but says “download failed. A valid URL was not provided.”
Hey Nate,
Please post us your login credentials (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend.
- Install and activate ” Temporary Login Without Password “.
- Go to ” Users > Temporary Logins ” on the left-side menu.
- Click ” Create New “.
- Add the email address for the account ( you can use (Email address hidden if logged out) ), as well as the ” Role ” making that the highest possible and the expiry about four days
( do be sure that we have enough time to debug ). - Click ” Submit “.
- You’ll now have a temporary account. Please provide us here in the private section the URL, so we can login and help you out.
When your issue is fixed, you can always remove the plugin!
If you prefer to not use the plugin, you can manually create a admin user and post the login credentials in the “private data” field.Best regards,

It is better to try to update the theme via FTP. Do you know how to do that?

Victoriaand by the way – sometimes it is only the tmp directory missing (which is defined on wp-config.php) on the wordpress installation.

You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/

I have been trying to update my enfold theme via FTP. I have successfully updated all of the enfold theme files but when i check in enfold it still says that i am running version 4.41 instead of version 4.5.3.
Is this a know issue?

You are not running the latest version on any of your sites. Did you try to update using the plugin I mentioned earlier in the thread?
