    Hi,

    Sorry, I am having a hard time imagining what you are trying to do. Can you illustrate it with screen grab and link to it , you can dump it on imgur.com or elsewhere.

    I am not sure what columns have titles that don’t show up on mobile devices. I am not familiar with any column having a title. They have a size property 1/2, 1/3, 1/4 etc.. but not sure about title, I am sorry. Please help me understand so I can help.

    Thanks,

    Nick

    Hello,

    I have a problem with Responsive Header Main Menu (Slide Out Menu). When I choose this option, at device size 768px X 1024px (ipad) it shows both desktop and mobile menu. All I did was upload the theme and Import the dummy data and choose the slide out menu. Here is the picture. http://i41.tinypic.com/15gt2y9.jpg

    But if I choose the drop down menu instead I don’t have this problem. Here is a picture when I choose drop down menu at 768px X 1024px (ipad). http://i39.tinypic.com/2pq4293.jpg

    Anything I can do to prevent both desktop and mobile menu showing at same time when in ipad portrait mode .

    Thanks,

    Sushil

    You can remove any link from the mobile menu by adding the class noMobile to that item. On the upper right hand corner of the menus screen you should see a button for Screen Options. Click that and then click the checkbox for classes.

    Now you can see a field for class when you expand a menu item and add in the noMobile class.

    Topic: Main offset

    Hi,

    on http://www.musikzentrale.net i am using an 152px offset from top to achieve the fixed header along with social icons, phone number and footer navigation:

    This is to have the UberMenu in position, which i am using instead of the enfold`s origin menu, since it offers some more modification methods that i want.

    On mobile devices i do now face a black border on top of the main section and i do have no idea, how to get rid of it. Here is my custom.css styling the header & main:

    #header {

    position: fixed;

    box-shadow: 0 0 0.5em rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.5);

    }

    #main {

    margin-top: 152px;

    }

    #wrap_all {

    position: absolute;

    width: 100%;

    z-index: 1;

    }

    Thanks for your help,

    Cheers, Sebastian.

    Image Link..

    • Ability for an Avia Builder Image block’s link to target _blank instead of opening in the same window.

    Any link anywhere should IMO always allow for target choice..

    Easy Slider

    • Ability to show image caption and/or title..

    • Touch (like RoyalSlider).

    Avia Layout Sidebar

    • Look like regular sidebar styling-wise.. I use them only because they remain visible in mobile-mode, but don’t like the look so much.. The regular ones look better to me.

    Filtering Portfolio Menu

    • Bigger, maybe in boxes piling up one on top of the other like a menu.. the way it is now you need tiny little fingers to access on mobile/tablet..

    Portfolio Grid

    • Ability to choose if the title box of the image (with the little triangle pointing up into the image) “eats away” at the original image or is aligned below the image without cropping it at all so as to respect its proportions.. The way it is set up no it crops the image both at top and bottom (for example here my images that are originally squares get cropped top and bottom http://www.lamuseboutique.com/be-inspired/).

    • More “organic” alignement to allow various heights for grid elements an not look so square/rigid (as seen here: http://www.uiueux.com/wp/webzine/). I also like how there is space between the elements in that theme… would be very nice to be able to add a few pixels of space as one wishes.

    Hi guys, sorry if I keep asking here I’m having a hard time with enfold.

    For the header portion, please see this image

    http://sta.sh/01os9n1xo9t4

    and my current site now is http://www.blue2x.com

    a. Header – Currently I’m using a background color for the header. I want a background image that repeats just like the image in my stash. The height is 100px but I can adjust it if someone here can recommend what is the ideal height for a gradient header background image ? I have tried in the enfold menu but the there’s a portion that repeats vertically so I’m guessing I need to either increase the height of the header background image or decrease the size of the header height ?

    b. Logo – I’m having a hard time uploading the logo correctly. It says I need to upload a 200 x 100 logo but when I do, it shrinks the logo. What is the ideal logo size especially if the logo is a transparent png like mine ? As of now this is the logo size I wanted but I want to be sure this is flexible in different browsers.

    I added this

    strong.logo {

    margin-top:20px ;

    }

    c.) On mobile, I can’t view the portfolio item I have created but in my mac it works fine. In io6 or android chrome it shows a 404 error page.

    d.) The latest enfold version is 1.6 right ? I have downloaded it in themeforest and uploaded via ftp ( cyberduck ) and it’s pretty sluggish. When I check the version its still 1.5.1 ? Any thoughts on this ?

    e.) How do you hide the titles for the pages , I have hidden the breadcrums for you are now here etc. But the page title underneath the logo still shows up.

    I use a mega menu with a column title where the column title is a page. This links perfectly on the site when using a computer. But when using the phone, the column title is inactive (not possible to use this as a link).

    Is there a way around this so it is possible to use the column title as a link for the phone as well?

    #124094

    Hi Devin, thanks for your answer.

    But I don’t get something: if the mega menu only returns a second level down for the mobile version, why does the sub levels appears in the mobile menu but are not clickable ?

    Thus, is there a way to remove those levels from the mobile menu ?

    Regards,

    rsonrier

    #123987

    Hi,

    I played around with it and though I am sure its possible, I just am not sure how far to tweak which lever so to speak. The css code that is responsible for the animation sequences of the menu floating in and out is found in /css/layout.css between lines 2778-2849 . I randomly changed just one thing and got some wild menu movements. Unfortunately I am just not seeing it happening vertical as you want without some changes to that code because now it moves and shrinks proportionally and there is no way to do that while keeping the aspect ratio only on the y axis without endless adjustments, since the width needs to change along with the height, or at least thats how its built now.

    Thanks,

    Nick

    #124093

    Hi rsonrier,

    Yes, the mega menu only returns a second level down for the mobile version to prevent overly long mobile menus (which can be a negative UX).

    The second issue I’m not sure of a fix for. Z-Index issues with youtube and fixed items can get messy and horribly unpredictable. I’ve attempted to nail down why it isn’t getting the proper layer order but so far have been unable to.

    I believe the issue has been tagged for Kriesi already but I’ll tag him on this one just in case it has not.

    Regards,

    Devin

    Hello,

    ISSUE #1

    Top navigation bar (logo, social icons, menu) aligns top left on mobile screen, while the body content aligns to the far right, and off the screen on Blackberry Bold, Sony Xperia X10. Displays just fine on Nokia N8. Looks great in Chrome, IE9, FireFox. Advice would be greatly appreciated!

    ISSUE #2

    Hi everybody, first of all congrats for this wonderfull theme !

    I’m having 2 issues with enfold theme on my website (http://enfold.qualistream.com ; log: next ; pwd: next)

    1rst issue : When having the mega menu option, it’s impossible to access to sub-menus (column or row) with a mobile device (for e.g. I can’t access to my submenu “Home / Solutions / Audit” throught a mobile device). http://content.screencast.com/users/bsanguinetti/folders/Jing/media/e59d24a9-f072-4067-b6d8-76a5b08f4cb3/2013-06-11_1014.png

    2nd issue : I’m having a youtube video embedded on my Home page with LayerSlider. When playing the video and scrolling down through the page, the video appears over the menu ! http://content.screencast.com/users/bsanguinetti/folders/Jing/media/7f1ee88b-0453-4455-9feb-83726fa23929/2013-06-11_1011.png

    What can I do to fix this ? Tell me if I’m doing something wrong !

    Thanks

    Hey,

    is there a practical way to have the MOBILE MENU not showing up from top-right position to bottom-left. It would be nice to have it fading in from top to bottom only.

    Hi,

    please try following – open up wp-content/themes/enfold/js/avia.js and replace

    switchWidth 	  = 768;

    with

    switchWidth 	  = 1010;

    and insert following code into the quick css field

    /* All Mobile Sizes (devices and browser) */
    @media only screen and (max-width: 1010px) {
    /*all templates*/
    .responsive #header .main_menu ul{display:none;}

    /*header*/
    .responsive #top #header {position: relative; }
    .responsive #top #main {padding-top:0; }
    .responsive #main .container_wrap:first-child{ border-top:none; }

    .responsive .main_menu{position: static;}
    .responsive .logo{position: static; height:80px; float:none;}
    .responsive .mobile_slide_out .logo{float:left;}
    .responsive .logo img{margin: 0 auto;}
    .responsive #header_main .container{height:auto !important; }
    .responsive #top .header_bg { opacity: 1; filter: alpha(opacity=1); }
    .responsive #top .mobileMenu{margin: 0 0 10px 0; width:100%; padding: 10px 4px;}
    .responsive.social_header .phone-info {text-align: center; float:none; clear:both; margin:0; padding:0;}
    .responsive.social_header .phone-info span{border:none; width:100%; text-align: center; float:none; clear:both; margin:0; padding:0;}
    .responsive #header_meta .social_bookmarks{padding-bottom:2px; width:100%;}
    .responsive #header_meta .social_bookmarks li{ border-style:solid; border-width:1px; margin-bottom:-1px; margin-left:-1px;}
    .responsive #top #header_meta .social_bookmarks li:last-child a{border-right-style: solid; border-right-width: 1px;}
    .responsive #header .sub_menu, .responsive #header_meta .sub_menu>ul{float:none; width:100%; text-align: center; margin:0 auto; position: static;}
    .responsive #header .social_bookmarks{width:100%; text-align: center; height:auto; line-height: 0.8em;}
    .responsive #header_meta .sub_menu>ul li,
    .responsive #header .social_bookmarks li{float:none; display: inline-block;}
    .responsive.bottom_nav_header #header_main .social_bookmarks{ position: relative; top: 0; right: 0; margin: 10px auto; clear:both;}
    .responsive #header_main_alternate .mobileMenu{ margin:16px 0;}
    .responsive.bottom_nav_header.social_header .main_menu>div{height:auto;}
    }

    Hi,

    Since I can’t see your code to give you the correct css for your situation, I will guess. Please add this to your /css/custom.css or to Quick CSS located in Enfold > Theme Options – Layout (textarea at the bottom) . If it doesn’t fit change 247px to a lower or higher number.

    .fixed_header.social_header #main {
    padding-top:197px !important;
    }

    Switching to mobile navigation at larger screen size will annoy tablet owners. I think a better solution would be to lower the menu , however to change the screen size that triggers the mobile menu please open up /js/avia.js and find line 1099 which looks like

    switchWidth: 768,

    Change that number above (768) to 790

    and also please add this css but change 767 to whatever number you put above minus one. so if instead of 768 you put 777 then put 776 below.

    @media only screen and (max-width: 767px){
    .responsive .main_menu {
    position: static;
    }}

    Thanks,

    Nick

    Hi,

    I am having a similar problem with an overlapping menu (http://royalcentredentalgroup.ca/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/menuoverlap.jpg) when I tried to change the avia.js file i lost the menu altogether on the ipad (http://royalcentredentalgroup.ca/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/bugattemptfix.jpg).

    I just want it to go to the mobile menu immediately before it is about to overlap…

    Any help would be great!

    #123247

    In reply to: Menu overlaying logo

    Hey!

    In your case we probably need to activate the slide out menu earlier. What you can try is to open avia.js in your js folder and search for the line:

    if(first_level_items > 8 && !bottom_menu)

    Change it to:

    if(first_level_items > 5 && !bottom_menu)

    This will make sure that the menu gets changed not only on mobile devices but on small screens as well

    Almost all feedback I am receiving from various articles written lately points to having the Social Media icons on the top right side of the screen. It does not appear that any of the header selections gives us that option. Is there a way to accomplish that by switching the location of the Social Icons from left to right and the free text area would be moved to the left?

    Also, on your demo on an iphone in vertical position, the menu shows the small box on the right to click to view the menu and the main menu disappears. I tried that on my installed website on my iphone and I get both menu’s showing up (actual menu + mobile menu). How do I eliminate the large menu from showing up and only keep the mobile menu to show?

    Thank you

    if you put a page in a mega menu, without putting it in a category it’s clickable on the normal version but not on the mobile version.

    i’ve just put menu items with no category inside a “-” category …

    #122889

    Devin,

    Thanks for the response; very prompt indeed.

    I tried that code in Quick CSS but it hasn’t made a difference. You can see the issue here: http://kleboe.co.uk/jobs and here: http://kleboe.co.uk/blog which both have a sidebar.

    If it helps you resolve the issue I have the same problem with the footer menu disappearing in mobile view as well. I don’t know if they are both linked? I’d like to resolve that issue as well.

    All the best,

    Kleboe

    Hi pixelmixture,

    I don’t have any issue selecting that item on the menu in any size. There are some instances where the menu will disable a parent: if it has no url associated with it or if you give it the noMobile class but in this case I’m just not getting that behavior on the linked site.

    Regards,

    Devin

    #121717

    I see what you mean. Its only after the mobile has been triggered and then it stays ‘stuck’ on mobile which makes the menu appear.

    Try adding the following CSS to your Quick CSS (located under the Styling Tab in the theme options) or the custom.css file in the css folder of your theme files:

    /* iPads (landscape)

    */
    @media only screen
    and (min-device-width : 768px)
    and (max-device-width : 1024px)
    and (orientation : landscape) {

    #top #advanced_menu_toggle {
    display: none;
    }

    }

    Which is a media query designed to target ipads landscape specifically and will hide the mobile button even if its trying to show. Let us know if it works for now and I’ll put it in as a bug.

    Regards,

    Devin

    Hi,

    Oh I read about VMI a long while ago, can’t remember what. Oh yeh, Thailand army has a lot of officers who are graduates from your school. Read it on flight to Bangkok and … But I digress.

    There’s something off on the site. I can’t put my finger on it, seems to be a delay somewhere as I am jumping between media queries, the mobile menu is just a tad slow than normal, and some things are not as smooth and stretchy (this is on Chrome) though visitors won’t notice that since they are in the same screen size, it’s unusual and may be part of the issues that show up on earlier IEs but are managed on Chrome.

    You have some errors

    Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found) http://admissions.vmi.edu/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-template-builder/assets/fonts/entypo-fontello.woff

    Blocked a frame with origin "http://media.virtualrabbit.com" from accessing a frame with origin "http://admissions.vmi.edu". Protocols, domains, and ports must match.

    Second is Chrome nonsense error but first should be fixed. That’s a file for the fontello glyphs/fonts that create the icons in the theme its IE9+ . You probably don’t have the correct mime type in your .htaccess file for .woff file i would guess …

    You are running on IIS 7.5/2008 Server have 128meg wp/ram . Should be ok

    =====

    http://i.imgur.com/xKA6A5K.png <– this is how i am seeing this page through ie8 and xp (emulated). if you see it any differently can you post a screenshot like this? Well besides the two run on videos, a few missing backgrounds. missing toggles, and of course that 3d campus tour, website background, thingy below the menu,

    Your videos are messed up on Chrome even because the first one (push-ups training) is not in the same aspect ratio as the other 3. So it needs to be re-encoded in the same aspect ratios as the other 3, otherwise at best it will have black lines on two sides http://www.clipular.com/c?6891027=C3O7QXuFTjYv9qCuKT3HxSvT-AE&f=.png

    .avia-video iframe, .js_active .avia-iframe-wrap iframe, div .avia-video .avia-iframe-wrap {
    position: relative;
    width: 320px;
    height: 186px;
    }

    try this css at the end of /css/custom.css

    I don’t have an ie8 but i think most of these can be fixed though not sure about the 3d tour, ie8 users are used to shades of grey and error messages just about anywhere they go online, so having complex animation will only confuse and bewilder them.

    Thanks,

    hi,

    i’ve set up a mega menu at my site http://www.radioscannes.com.

    it’s located in the “Examens” Menu.

    while the “radiographie” item of the mega menu is clickable in it’s normal version, it’s grey and unclickable in it’s mobile size screen version.

    did i miss something ?

    thanks

    That worked! :) Thanks so much.

    I’m a 90% happy bunny. If we could fix this other issue I’m seeing (https://kriesi.at/support/topic/menu-broken-in-responsive-mode), it would be 100%. :) I have a feeling the solution to that one is similar…?
