    Hello,

    Could you tell me how to setup a chosen image that would appear when creating a shortcut of my website on an iPhone desktop please. I have seen many websites doing that. Is it possible with Enfold?

    Thanks in advance

    I have two questions to the related posts in the “You might also like …”-section:

    How can I exclude posts wich have no thumbnails, so that only posts with images are displayed?

    And how can I realize a random order of the shown related posts?

    Thanks!

    Hi

    When I hover over linked images on firefox they move and become disjointed. It works perfectly with Chrome and Safari but FF is an issue. I’ve read previous threads but haven’t come across a solution.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Here a link to the site:

    I started having other issues and was testing out my plugins. The images seem to load fine now. It seems that jetpack was the culprit. It didnt even allow me to load my site on an iphone.

    hi –

    just checking back again, having fussed around

    after changing the first image in the gallery to a taller one, the shrinking problem has disappeared.

    however, when i mouse over an image that is not so tall in the gallery, the big preview image does not resize to the shorter one, leaving a large gap beneath it.

    any help would be appreciated :)

    hi!

    apologies if this issue has been raised, searched around but couldn’t find. i’m a first-time wordpresser so might be a silly error on my end, but:

    i’m trying to have a gallery with no scaling for the big preview image. the first image that appears upon clicking a gallery image below is the correct size, but with each subsequent click the big image above shrinks by about 20% until it disappears completely.

    this is happening on different galleries in different portfolio items. let me know if you need any other info to diagnose the problem-

    cheers

    No I did not make any changes to the theme files or alternate header files. I will try those but I am not sure it will work fine. Is there any other thing that you can recommend to me?

    Hi, I don’t want to use fullwidth easyslider, and instead I choose the easyslider, and the only problem I have is: there is a large space left in the top and bottom of the image, I alreay choose no scaling for the sliders.

    So, how to remove such space? Your can find what it looks on my test site at http://www.newbuilding.cn

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,

    Sorry for the delay. Alright. Quick CSS lesson. Don’t use single classes because they sometimes work but most of the time they are not specific enough. WHen you write the whole selector made of classes you should think of it like giving driving directions. If you say 12 Apple Street , that wont help a guest who is on the expressway. so you need to give some reference points. If its a div with a class myclass1, you can try div.myclass1{ } (or h2.myclass1{ } if it was h2 tag with that class) if there is a link inside that same div, you would use div.myclass1 a { }

    I can’t give you the exact code because you are not including the url to your site. Since there are so many various updates, plugin combinations boxes/full layout, background image combinations, it will not be possible. So please provide a url and I will be able to answer your questions. You can hide the url to your site by wrapping in http://www.goo.gl so that it will not be seen.

    Thanks,

    Nick

    Hi,

    1.) You can add this on your custom.css to remove the strobe effect.

    .avia-progress-bar div.progress .bar {
    background-image: none;
    }

    2.) It depends on the content you have. Please give us a link to the website. You can control the font size of the content with this:

    .iconbox_content p {
    font-size: 11px;
    }

    And the iconbox title using this:

    h3.iconbox_content_title {
    font-size: 11;
    }

    3.) You can refer to this link: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/custom-hosted-font-with-the-child-theme-instructions

    Hi,

    There maybe a lot of factors why the image is not showing on your end. I viewed the website using Google Chrome on a Windows 7 machine. I removed my browser cache then visited your site again, the button loads fine.

    Are you on a MAC? Let me tag the rest of the support team to check the website.

    In reply to: Testimonial pictures

    Hi,

    You can add this on your custom.css or Quick CSS

    .avia-testimonial-image img, .avia-testimonial-image {
    border-radius: 0;
    }

    Regards,

    Ismael

    You can change the default layout of your blog page from the Theme Options>General Settings>Blog Style

    Blog Style

    This option lets you choose the default blog display for your sites blog page (set in the main Theme Options tab).

    The choices can be viewed in the demo as follows:

    Multi Author Blog

    Single Author – Small Preview Picture

    Single Author – Big Preview Picture

    Blog Grid

    From the demo here: http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/blog/

    Note that you must have a featured image set for each blog post to get the images to show up for the various layouts.

    Hi

    Thanks for another great theme. I am having some trouble with the galleries.

    1) When I check “Crop thumbnail to exact dimensions” in media settings the thumbnails are the ratio of the original image but they line up very awkwardly. http://www.nancyashmead.com/paintings/

    I created this galley in another theme with the basic wordpress gallery and it looks good with images various ratios. http://www.judithpavlik.com/teens/ .

    With Enfold the basic wordpress gallery has only one thumb size so I can’t use that either

    2)

    When I try to edit an existing gallery it shows that there are no images so rather than being able to add to a gallery I have to rebuild the whole gallery. This is a pain for my artist clients who are constantly adding new work to existing galleries.

    3)

    The load time is very slow. The images are semi-transparent for half a minute and then load to their full color versions.

    Thanks very much

    David

    Make it easy to put pages into columns. Image, Title excerpt. That way you can do the three column highlighted pages thing. This functionality was in all the recent themes.

    Nick: There are 2 ways you can do this :

    1) with a post slider set to not slide; or
    2) with the blog set to grid>

    #131341

    It should work for all. I tested it with a few devices (ipad, android phones, iphone emulators) but if Kriesi has something else for it it will get added in regardless.

    For the gallery element, can we you add option to display caption under the image instead of on rollover.

    Also can you W3C validate the theme.

    Thanks!

    <Nick: There is no standard yet (next year) so it's
    not possible to validate till everyone agrees to a standard.
    W3C changes their validator once in a while but nothing is set in stone yet.

    That works for portrait orientation on the iphone, but not landscape. I just got this from Kriesi ‏on twitter though:

    @TylerDrew
    nice catch. I think there is an easy solution for this, will add it to the next update ;)

    Hello:

    I’d like to ask for orientation to heading change: In the picture is the heading that I want to change

    http://img825.imageshack.us/img825/757/eud2.png

    I’ll use ubermenu and a plugin for the cart.

    Can I simple change header.php to do the job, are there hooks to do that (do you have a hook reference for the theme?)

    Your top level orientation for a good approach will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks and best regards

    Jorge

    Hi Tyler,

    I think Peter misunderstood your last comment (or else I did). If it still isn’t working try this:

    .wp-caption {
    width: auto !important;
    }

    Regards,

    Devin

    #131338

    Hey!

    Glad you found a solution. Imo it’s still strange that wp adds a width value to the caption…

    Best regards,

    Peter

    So when it doesn’t appear it most likely is a slow internet connection? May I ask what country you are in? I am in Japan and have checked different with different browsers on different computers and internet connections and get no image until I reload it. My host is in America. I am thinking of getting a fast CDN for the Asia area if this will fix my issue.

    Hi,

    Did you transfer the wp-content/uploads folder to the new installation?

    Regards,

    Ismael

    #131319

    I was having the same problem also and I applied the following CSS for a quick work around:

    .avia-full-stretch {

    -webkit-background-size: cover !important;

    background-size: cover !important;

    }

    “-webkit-background-size: cover !important;” fixed the issue in Chrome & “background-size: cover !important;” fixed the issue in Fire Fox.

    I haven’t checked to see if the problem is occurring in any other browsers, so if there is another solution, any help would be much appreciated.

    Are you talking about the Big Green Tokyo Image? It loads fine on my end. Maybe, a slow internet connection?

    In reply to: Flat Button Rollover

    Hi,

    Edit functions.php, add this code:

    add_theme_support('avia_template_builder_custom_css');

    This will allow you to add unique css selector for each avia elements.

    Go to the Advance Layout Editor, insert a button then add a unique css selector “orange-button” for example.

    Edit custom.css or Quick CSS, add this code:

    .orange-button a {
    background-image: none !important;
    background-color: #cc3300 !important;
    border-color: #cc3300 !important;
    color: white !important;
    }

    .orange-button a:hover {
    background-image: none !important;
    background-color: white !important;
    border-color: white !important;
    color: #242424 !important;
    }

    Regards,

    Ismael

    #131337

    Nevermind, it fixed the issue until you turn the iphone to landscape instead of portrait shape.

    #131336

    I found this post, where other responsive theme users were having the same issue: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/captions-break-image-fluidity-in-responsive-themes-on-mobile-phones

    I added this CSS code and it fixed the issue: .wp-caption {

    max-width: 96% !important;

    width: auto !important;

    }
