    hey Nick, how can I achieve the same thing without making the gallery reversed !!

    as per https://kriesi.at/support/topic/gallery-image-order-ignored

    #134082
    #134401

    If you load the page fresh and move the cursor over the thumbnails quickly then it seems there is a chance of one of the preview images to load like the example. If you move off and on again then it clears.

    I think it is a IE10 loading oddity as you say. I can get it to do it every time but its not a set image. Its random on which image will load like it. I will start up my laptop and see if I can get the same result on that.

    Hey! I guess you did try deactivating the theme and replace it with the default wordpress theme and it works fine then?
    Same goes for dectivating all plugins other than Gravity Forms.

    if you didnt please do so we can make 100% sure thats a theme issue. However at this point I am not quite sure how to fix it. I tried to apply additional CSS rules to the marker image to un-distort it and they have absolutely no effect whatsoever. Not sure what would cause such an issue…

    Hi! I love the theme and am enjoying building on it.

    I’ve started having issues with the LayerSlider since yesterday. Only two slides work and the third one doesn’t load. Here’s what I’ve done to troubleshoot:

    1. Reduced all image sizes to 75 pixels to avoiding overloading.

    2. Deleted and rebuilt the sliders almost thrice!

    3. Deactivated all plugins.

    There seems to be an issue when I add more elements. Please take a look at my site.

    Please look into the issue ASAP as I have to publish this site very soon.

    Hi everyone,

    In my Website http://culturalinfusion.org.au I have a small issue, when I zoom in my frontpage, the names and contents of 3 columns superpose themselves and can’t be read. When you zoom enough you get to the mobile devices presentation which is fine. Here you can see what I want to fix

    hebergeur d'image

    Here are the short codes I used to create those three different text blocks

    hebergeur d'image2

    What should i do to fix this problem?

    Hi,

    I’m not sure if that is possible with wp. I don’t see any plugin with that kind of functionality but you can create a single post or single portfolio item for each image. User can then comment on that particular post with image. Let me tag the rest of the support team.

    Hi,

    It should work properly on ipad or iphone. If you check here, http://responsinator.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.naturaloutlook.com%2F the color section with the mountain image is working fine. Let me tag Kriesi and Devin to check this on an actual iOS device.

    Hi mmsh8765,

    With the under construction plugin running there is nothing we can look at. If you are running WordPress 3.6 you must be using Enfold 1.9.1+.

    Other than that its a pretty big guess as to what is even happening without seeing the issue live.

    My Easy Slider is broken after the second photo as well but only in Opera. It slides and navigates in Chrome, it does not slide in IE10 but it does change images and the navigation works.

    Opera is doing something different than the other browsers. Not really a big deal.

    Thanks, Chad

    PS: The Fade option works in all browsers:) And I’m using WP 3.6 and Enfold 1.9.1 and have W3 Total Cache installed with Page Cache and Browser Cache turned on and Minify turned off (it doesn’t seem to help my site).

    I only thing broken in my site is the Easy Slider with the Slide option and only in Opera. Not bad–I’m happy with what I’ve got.

    Let’s hope for some browser/html/css standards soon so we can finally put this nonsense to bed once and for all.

    #134871

    Ok I updated the theme and I am running the latest version of wordpress. I deactivated all the plugins and the problem still exists.

    In addition, I worked on another site that uses enfold and I went to edit a page using the page builder and I lost several hours of work because all of the images disappeared after I edited something.

    I also noticed that your Edit Homepage button doesn’t work.

    I would really like to send you my login info and you can try it out. This is a huge problem for me.

    Topic: Enfold Header

    I’m having trouble with the header on Enfold when viewing on a safari browser. There is a 1/2 inch gap above the header that is black, however when you begin to scroll the gap changes from black to transparent and you can see the images scrolling under the header in the space directly above the header. The top of the header should allign with the top of the browser without any black or transparent gap. How do I resove this?

    Hi Devin, thanks for your time here as it’s very much appreciated as always.

    Ok so.

    1. When we remove image width and height values the images seem to scale as expected for responsive layouts, but this is shown as a negative when running the site through speed tests which tell us to define a specified width and height to prevent browsers from having to scale them? What should we be doing please?

    2. The promo box doesn’t seem to work even in Firefox V22 actually, so it’s not a problem related to IE8 specifically after all. I can send links for testing, do you have an email address for this purpose please? Nick has some links, but they may not contain the promo box. If you add a promobox to a page and view it does it work for you when you scale the page or in the responsinator?

    3. We haven’t updated as we are almost done building the entire site and will be installing a fresh version on our main site and copying all content over, so we don’t want to chance any problems beforehand. Obviously once we’ve done this the theme will be removed from our testing server just in case you’re wondering :)

    4. Think Nicks looking into this for us right now, media queries don’t seem to have ANY effect whatsoever on iconboxes and believe us when we say that we must have tried them all many times over.

    5. I was referring to this thread which had not be revisited in over a week now: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/google-chrome-font-rendering-problems?replies=1#post-127983

    Many thanks,

    Is there a way to add a commenting section to images instead of the whole page?

    My client basically wants her clients to be able to leave feedback on specific images.

    #134498

    Hi!

    Yep, that seems like the cause of the issue ;D

    Hey!

    the slideshow always tries to make the images fit to the available width. in your case those images are too small and are therefore blown up.

    you can add this to your custom.css stylesheet in folder /css/ or to the quick-css panel located in your wordpress backend at Enfold->Styling to always display the original width:

    div .avia-slideshow li img {
    width: auto;
    }

    #134497

    hey !

    No I havent added any plugins since this was working ok

    The weird thing is that the gallery anim also runs backwards – right to left fill in with the thumbs !

    Check and see what I mean : http://goo.gl/FSGn9d

    Tres weird huh !

    I might try uploading the theme again tomorrow if you cannot suggest anything !

    edit: Ok I think its related to the gallery fix nick provided :

    https://kriesi.at/support/topic/how-to-add-captions-to-gallery-thumbs

    The code nick gave me

    #top .avia-gallery .avia-gallery-thumb a { float: right; }
    #top #wrap_all .avia-gallery-1 .avia-gallery-thumb a { text-align: center;}
    #top div .avia-gallery { text-align: center; }

    If float right is float left.. anim is right way round – gallery is still out of order tho.. I think it might be the other code in there he gave causing the prob.

    sorry about this :-)

    #134514

    Hey!

    There is a taxonomy-portfolio_entries.php in your theme folder that allows you to set a few variables: you can edit them and also add the image size parameter like i did bellow:

    $grid = new avia_post_grid(array( 'linking' => '',
    'columns' => '3',
    'contents' => 'title',
    'sort' => 'no',
    'paginate' => 'yes',
    'image_size' => 'portfolio',
    'set_breadcrumb' => false,
    ));

    you can also find an array of available image sizes in the functions.php file around line 80

    #134495

    Hey!

    If you click on a transition a checkmark should appear beside and stay, even if you click the close button. If that doesnt happen there might be a javascript conflict in your theme.

    Are you running the latest version of wordpress (3.6) as well as the latest theme version (1.9.1)?

    Hi artistic24459,

    I’m not getting the same issue when testing it now either. If you can give us an exact set of steps to re-create it we can try debugging it from there.

    It could be an oddity in how IE10 loads in data specifically but I’m not aware of anything like that right now.

    Regards,

    Devin

    #134496

    Hey!

    I cant really reproduce the issue. Are you running any plugins that might interfere?

    Hi,

    Your background image is fixed. Change that setting of the background image to Scroll and it will scroll up. If you make that change , then the result would look like the URL you provided as an example.

    If instead what you want is for the banner to be static on top of the page during the scroll like this site for example ( http://www.labasesecrete.fr/blog/ ) , then you need to have that banner not as a background image for the entire site, but as a background image in the header.

    So what you will need to do is put the header where it used to be, and then add the image to the header. Then you will need to expand the height of the header so its big enough to house the image + logo and menu.

    Here is some code to start you off

    .header_color .header_bg{
    background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);
    }
    #header {
    background: rgba(222, 216, 195, 0) url(https://testsite.patriotwatch.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/bg-for-testsite1.jpg) top center no-repeat fixed;
    height: 200px;
    left: 95px;
    width: 100% !important;
    top: 0px;
    }

    As I said , you need to remove the background image. This is gonna be a lot of work, But as you can see http://i.imgur.com/DvjHQqW.png with this method the page body is going under the image and that missing piece is from the shrinking header (how it originally way).

    Thanks,

    Nick

    Hi American Patriot,

    I would suggest not bothering with a fixed header with that kind of layout. You’ll need to edit not only css but also the avia.js file which has some layout functions for the fixed header as well. So instead use one of the non-fixed header options.

    From there you will need to do is add a secondary wrapper to go around the entire sites content. You can just do a simple:

    <div class="background-wrapper">

    in your header.php file just after the body starts (***Make sure to close this div at the end of everything in the footer too!!!!!***). This is where you’ll want to attach the image banner as a background via css. Then on the body you’ll add in the background overall(stripe+texture just like http://static.thepioneerwoman.com/files/2013/08/augbackground.png).

    If you want the site to go behind the banner then instead of adding it as a background to the new div you would close that div in the header instead of the footer and put the image inside of the new div. From there, it’ll take a bit of wrangling but generally making it fixed position with a higher z-index than the content will get the effect I think you have in mind.

    Regards,

    Devin

    The images are not showing up in the slider on the homepage. I have tried everything I know to get it to show up. The space for the slider is there and I can see the progress bar, but I cannot see any images.

    http://dev.bigthumb.com/ is where the site is being developed.

    Can email you site admin privileges if you let me know.
