Hey,
You can add a request here: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-feature-requests
You can hide the image using this on your Quick CSS:
.avia-content-slider-inner .slide-image {
display: none;
}
Regards,
Ismael
Hi,
The Slideshow Image Size is not the size of the slider rather the image that is going to be use on the Easy Slider. The Easy Slider will inherit the size of the container. If you have a full width page, the Easy Slider will go full width following the size of the container. I suggest you use a bigger image to avoid blurriness.

Ismael
Another request from the “I want it all” section:
Is it possible to have a one column product slider with an image somewhere around 300px wide by 250px tall, or even a 251px x 311px (the size of the two column post slider images)? Something that looks like the slider at the following link?
http://www.rachelzoe.com/
You can add the following to your custom.css or Quick CSS and it will change it to a darker color. Be aware though it will change all of the hover effects site-wide to the darker color. You can change the hex code to whatever color you like. I don’t know how to limit it to just the blog page images though. If that’s what you’re wanting maybe one of the moderators can help.
.image-overlay {
background: #000000 !important;
}
Thanks Devin, much appreciated and I’ll take a look. Thanks for your time and for making the tutorial too.
Hey guys,
I can’t seem to find in the forum threads how i can change the blog image hover effect from white to a darker more dim color.
Any ideas? I’m sure it’s something easy, but I cannot find the code :-(
Thank you.
PS, I’m using the magnifico Enfold theme! ;-)
maybe this an edit for the new version of the theme but it would be great to have the option in the blog gridview – “Define Blog Grid layout” to have some extra options. to have option with or without featured image picture.

Never mind. Had to do a little css tweaking and it did the trick.
Carry on.
Am I correct in saying that the images are shown in ID ASC order each time you open the gallery?
I need to make the changes from the link you gave me so it does not do this and keeps the order I have put them?
Here is a url:
http://chriswardphotography.net/consumer/galleries/fashion-and-portraits/
lol I understand that and even said what the problem was. I have enlarged the icon using zoom which also enlarges the circle.
“Its because I have used zoom to make the icon bigger and it also enlarges the circle (which now is set to display none). The circle is there and the zoom is applied to it but it is invisible, you can only see the icon. The cursor still reads from the hidden circle and activated the hover.”
What I’m trying to do is have a single solid colour over the whole image with the icon enlarged as its too small using the standard icon. Is there a way to make the icon bigger without using zoom or a better way of doing this? See example:
http://www.chriswardphotography.com/test-area/examples/example5.jpg
Anyway help would be great, I’m not the best with CSS :-/ but I try.
:-)
Hi,
Sorry the URL you pasted doesn’t work in Chrome either http://www.clipular.com/c?14320534=l4DzBIFCAUkTPludiOf79Ttv2JA&f=.png
Thanks,
Nick
Hi,
Those are not images but glyphs , a font much the same as any other font but instead of letters they have those symbols. if you look at your text editor you can add one with a shortcode (magic wand with yellow glow button on top of text editor) , then you can give it font size 190px or so and it will look like a large image though it is selectable as any regular font.
thanks,
Nick

The link was in an earlier post. Any gallery will do they all have the loading problem in IE10
Hi,
On IE9 everything should look fine when i looked early last week. Can you post a screen shot showing where you see problems please? IE8 , you simply can’t expect to look like ie10, where Microsoft was forced for a change to allow it to understand CSS the way other browsers do…. the huge market share loss to Chrome forced them to abandon their strategy since IE6 of fragmenting the market by releasing interdependente proprietary css – bad css – on purpose in ie7 and 8. It should still look relatively well on IE8, naturally degrading, but effects such as fading and movement are beyond its abilities , for example IE8 doesn’t understand , draw or interpret circles or ovals, (though it draws squares and rectangles perfectly, go figure!)
But expecting it to perform on the level of IE10 or even anywhere near the level is as realistic as expecting the winner of the special olympics to have a shot at qualifying for regular games. Basically the cool animations and transitions naturally degrade in ie9, and degrade a bit more in ie8 but still remain equivalent of static images. IE7 , the few users who remain attached to that browser are mostly in hard to reach areas of the world – Amazon Basin, Outer Mongolia and they are well used to seeing the web as a patchwork of javascript errors with random fonts and drab colors. Seeing a functional website might confuse them into extinction.
Please put up a screen shot or two for IE8 and 9 so we can see how best to get this resolved.
Thanks,
Nick
Hi,
You can get in touch with Ismael using these directions: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/images-in-gallery-disappearing#post-120691
Thanks,

Hi,
I took a look at your css. please remove whatever you are adding. All these twitches and flickering is there because of the css you added. Take it out and you will notice that everything is back to normal.
thanks,
Nick
Hi,
I am sorry , but could you post a url to your site since the one you display in your name leads to a maintenance screen. it should be possible though.
thanks,
nick
Hi,
It’s possible to change the order of any gallery by rearranging the order of the images after you add each gallery image. Take a look at the first answer here. http://wordpress.org/support/topic/making-the-gallery-respect-image-order
I just repeated your steps 4 times , some i added a new image to the gallery, others just resaved , but everything always came out the way it was supposed to.
Do you have a url you can show us please.
thanks,
Nick
Hi,
There is something off in your css that I can’t put my finger on, but I have real trouble getting anything to move where I want it using css on your site. I even removed the css you used in the custom area, It feels like there are multiple relative/absolute settings got mixed up someplace
As I wrote before, get rid of the layer slider, or give it more height, since i think thats the cause of your empty space around it as well.
thanks,
Nick
Hi,
Sorry about that man. i paste that URL so many times that I think I started tuning it out. Need to use a different url shortner. My bad. Funny thing is I remember your website now, that old man in white. lol.
I started giving you the css now, but deleted it. you have fundamental problems with the design so everything is backwards. Please remove the layer slider and instead just add an image element. if you do that, all else will fall into place (if you remove also from custom.css the top:-49px block.
thanks,
Nick
Hi there,
I’m using the Easy Slider to fade a selection of images and they are all 302 px wide by 220 px high.
I have selected the Easy Slider not to scale and to keep Original size but they are scaling bigger. (see link below)
http://www.communicastmyanmar.com/site/?page_id=97
The top image of the map is a static image and is correctly displayed. The rotating ones beneath are not and I cannot see what I am doing wrong for this to happen.
I must say, this is for sure one of the best themes I have used. Well done.
I’m on a Macbook Pro 10.8 4 using Firefox.
Hi,
I notice on the theme it has posts with image on top of text and thumbnail of that image on preview:
http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/blog/blog-single-small/ if you click it goes to large image on top.
I only see options to either show author (which will carry on the post page and also show icon in left column.
I just want a small preview on left on main blog page, then go to big image on top… with no left icon, like above.
I don’t see this setting in blog drop down in layout.
Mine is either large images on everything, or small left icon on everything..
http://eyecandymedia.com.au/preview/ecmnew/blog/blog-single-small/
any help would be great.
thanks
thankyou
Hi bobbymc,
I’m not really sure how to proceed. The video is the best example that we could possibly provide as if you follow the steps exactly you get the correct result.
The only thing that could be causing that not to happen would be if your theme version is out of date, a plugin conflict or the theme files have been corrupted.
So if you are using 1.9.1+ and on WordPress 3.6 you can try re-downloading the theme and then re-installing which just re-installs the theme files. Additionally, double check that you’ve followed each step as it is just as simple as adding a fixed image to a color section for that specific effect.
Regards,
Devin
Managed to get it to work fine, thanks for the video.
But there are a few issues:
-Doesn’t appear in Chrome. Just blank white, but works in FF and Safari. (I tried this on multiple machines)
-On my iPad in both Chrome and Safari it is just a fixed image strip showing that particular spot of the background image.
Any possible solutions.
Is this normal? Have I made a change somewhere to affect this or is something broken? The image at the top of the blog page excerpts and individual blog post page doesn’t completely fill it’s intended space. I have the Single Author, big preview Pic option chosen for my Blog Style. Below is a link to an image showing the issue (you can see the white space to the right of and below the image).

I actually went to go do this and saw that Enfold 2.0 was released today. I deleted 1.9.1 and installed 2.0. That somehow fixed the problem.
Glad you were able to solve this!
Enjoy the theme,
Nick
