JosueOctober 17, 2013 at 6:22 pm #177100Hello!
It should be at least 1900px in width if you would like it to be displayed nicely on all screen sizes. I mentioned that your current image is 1000px in width. A 15.6 inch laptop screen is 1366px in width. I thought you would figure it out. Sorry :)
Best regards,

Josue thank you for your help and understanding this theme so much more – only 1 more thing.
I would like to keep the bullet image on everything but except the rotating slider image banner is there a way to target that via css and not have any image or bullet displaying?

thank you for everything sir.

Weird… This is what I see and they revert back to normal when the browser window is resized or I filter them.
October 17, 2013 at 5:13 pm #177079In reply to: Enfold Feature Requests
I would love to add video to the fullscreen slider, instead of just images.
And also:
– Animated numbers/charts (even if it’s just like on the Kriesi homepage, right above the big twitter and facebook buttons).
– A nice integrated language selector for WPML in the main menu, similar to the search in the menu.-

That comment doesn’t really help – what size should it be and why do you not specify image sizes????

in forum Enfoldfaterra
ParticipantHello,
I need help with icons on Firefox and Opera.
After I installed W3 Total Cache, these browsers are showing funny shapes instead of the icons.
Internet Explorer and Chrome still working perfectly.

This happens everywhere on the site that I have Icons.
How can I fix it?
Thank you.
FabianaOctober 17, 2013 at 3:24 pm #177037Hi Devin,
Thanks for the information on the documentation.
Unfortunately the problem with the layerslider is not an issue with the image.
If you log back into the site you can see that I’ve tried replacing the woman image with the exact same image that is on slide one, and the same thing happens.
I’ve also created a layerslider which has the woman image showing first (which works fine), and uses the flower image (that works fine when it’s used on the first slide) on the SECOND slide, and exactly the same thing happens.
The image is not causing the problem, because the image that you’re saying isn’t a problem creates the same reaction on the site, and the image that you’re saying there is a problem with works fine when it’s used on the first slide.
It appears that there is a problem with the layerslider, not the images.
Please advise how to fix this issue ASAP as I’ve been trying to fix this for some time now and none of the solutions I’m being offered are actually fixing the problem.
Thanks.
October 17, 2013 at 2:31 pm #177008Hey!

Hey!
Please add following code as well
#top .main_menu .menu>li:last-child>a { padding-right: 13px!important; } .social_header .main_menu ul:first-child > li a { height: 70px; line-height: 70px; } #header_main { border-bottom-style: none; }As for header image, you need to add it in Header.php file. If you cannot figure out how to do it, please prepare it and create a temporary admin login and post it here privately, so i can do it for you.
Best regards,

Upgraded both. Issue still exists.
How can you diagnose support issues for IE8 if you don’t have access to the browser? Can’t you get a VM?

Hi,
Can you create an administrator account and post it here as a private reply?
Also, provide the image you want as a ribbon, a transparent PNG would work.

Thanks man! That did help A LOT! It still needs a bit. The lower navigation needs too snug up closer to the top navigation, and I still need to figure out how to add an image with link in just under the 2 navigation under like this site here:
I need to fit this in without pasting onto the background? Other wise it looks funny on my phone.

JoshuaOctober 17, 2013 at 6:12 am #176861October 17, 2013 at 5:51 am #176855Ismael,
I added additional code (Your pointers helped me) and fixed some of IE8 issues. That’s why it looks much better in IE8 now.
1.) Deselect the Blog page on Enfold > Theme Options > And where do you want to display the Blog?. Go to Enfold > General Settings > Blog Style > select other style other than Grid Layout. Edit your Blog page, switch to Advance Layout Builder then insert the Blog Post element. Select the Grid Layout as blog style. You will have a Blog page with Grid Layout and still have single posts with featured image.
Thanks, this is working in Firefox/Safari. However featured image in single posts is not showing up in IE8. Please help.

IsmaelOctober 17, 2013 at 4:34 am #176828In reply to: Portfolio Grid Feature
The portfolio is populated by “portfolio items”. So from the WordPress admin you’ll open the Portfolio Items section and then Add New. For each item that you want to include into a portfolio grid you need to create a new portfolio item.
For example, this is a regular page with the Portfolio Grid element added into it: http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/portfolio/
The items that are shown have all already been created as portfolio items. The image shown is the Featured image set on each one of those portfolio items.
You set the portfolio categories just like you would a post and that is what allows you to sort them.
If you just want a simple grid of your images you can add a WordPress gallery to any pages using the images from your uploaded media which will show like this: http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/shortcodes/gallery/
October 17, 2013 at 4:27 am #176824Hi!
2.) I just tested the solution and it works fine on IE8. I visited your site again using IE8 and the container looks 1210px in width. What is the screen resolution of your monitor?

Cheers!
IsmaelOctober 17, 2013 at 2:36 am #176804hmm, that’s weird.

October 17, 2013 at 1:49 am #176794In reply to: bad load logo image with css changes
Hi Devin,
I modified the file custom.css to enfold / css and I have put on the desktop css media query you said.
@media only screen and (min-width: 768px) {
/* Add your Desktop Styles here */
.social_header #header_main .container, .social_header .main_menu ul:first-child > li a {
height: 300px;
line-height: 300px;
}
}I have increased the value of the logo from 167 to 300px.
Logo.png image also I left at 300px and I uploaded it to wordpress.
The result is:
1) Explorer, chrome and safari ok.
2) Firefox when page load first (HTTP code 200) very small image returns. When subsequent load (HTTP code 304) the image correct returns.
3)Without modifying the css and upload a 150px image also happens.It seems to be a problem only with the first load firefox.
Try to make a reload in firefox by pressing the “shift” key to clear the cache and you’ll see.167px is very small for customers…;), they want to see your logo bigger ;)
As I can do to fix it?
Thank you!
Xavier.

Hey simon975!
Please add following code to Quick CSS in Enfold theme options under Styling tab
.grid-image img { height: 120px; } @media only screen and (min-width: 768px) and (max-width: 1139px) { .grid-image img { height: auto; } }On some screens it may not be as neat because title lenghts are not equal
Cheers!
YigitOctober 17, 2013 at 1:28 am #176783I think I know what is wrong with it.
The portfolio thumbnail was set to automatic scaling and i think the featured images was too small or something.
I set it to manual and use original size thumbnail and now it is working perfectly fine on safari and mobile.
Thanks!!
