Ok, thanks for the help guys!
Hi Devin! Thank your for this: “Edit: Just make sure the link on the images is pointing to the full size image and not the smaller size.”
Well, I have figured out, I must place the links into custom link field for all images in fullwidth masonry gallery in order to provide my visitors the possibility to see the pictures as fullsized. But it is not necessary for another gallery (after https://kriesi.at/support/topic/pop-up-image-resizing/#post-188242 )!
The question is: is it possible to “ask” the Enfold opens the images placed into this element (av_masonry_gallery) as the same with the av_gallery? Because it isn’t necessary to place link for each image in this kind of gallery. It looks rather friendly for users, right? It is so boring to place 40 pcs of links for all pictures in av_masonry_gallery..
Please, help me with this problem.
I’m trying to create a slider, but no matter what I try it doesn’t show up on the page.
For example: http://www.joycewolthuis.nl/test/
I’ve tried several sliders, different images, putting it in a layout element, using no layout element. I must be doing
something wrong, but I can’t figure out what.
Hi,
can you please help me with these issues? Thank you and have a great weekend.

Hi
in portfolio-items is a button “Bilder einfügen”
See screenshot.
http://www.axellauer.de/gfx/enfold/bilder-einfuegen.png
“Bilder einfügen” means “assign/atach images”
But this Button does nothing except to remove the preview gallery.
So either it is a translation error and it should say “Bilder entfernen” (remove images) or it supposed to be a feature.
If its supposed to be a feature than please explain what feature that is – because it does not work in our installation
Hi
In Portfoilio items you have the option to put a preview gallery :
“Ajax Portfolio Preview SettingsIf you have selected to display your portfolio grid as an ‘Ajax Portfolio’ please choose preview images here and write some preview text. Once the user clicks on the portfolio item a preview element with those images and info will open.”
At this point there is no option to set the image size.
Just the option to assign images over media-library.
The images shown in the frontend are totally blurred – independendally from the numbers of colums we have choosen.
http://axellauer.de.www290.your-server.de/portfolio/
how do i get images wich are not blurred?
BTW: just to avoid discussions….this uses the *un*-edited custom-post-type from Enfold -the portfolio.
Hey!
Edit an image then on caption text place something like this:
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G0k3kHtyoqc" class="lightbox" rel="lightbox">Click Here</a>

Ismael
Thanks!
We would like to use the full-width responsive slider on the start page.
The dimensions we are using is 1500px x 450px (tall)
The responsive works well on an iPhone but on an iPad the slider takes up most of the space on the screen (not responsive?)
It would be great to have a list of the optimum dimensions for various sizes of images:
full-width images: width (+ height) we would especially like to have so that it works best in responsive mode.
also full-width for images filling a full page (which has a sidebar.
Is there anywhere a documentation on the best sizes/setting for photos?
thanks!
In addition:
When the width of our site is narrower, the menu goes on top of the clients logo. We have changed the menu font size to 14 – is this the reason why this has happened? Any way around this?

Hello,
I had reported this issue back in 2.3 that I’m finding it to still be true in version 2.4:
https://kriesi.at/support/topic/help-portfolio-grid-preview-issue-in-enfold-version-2-3/#post-169328
Essentially, I had found that a small but crucial PHP customization I had done at the suggestion of the Kriesi support team back at an earlier version of Enfold stopped working after version 2.3. Devin said it should have kept working in version 2.3, but after trying it repeatedly, I never got it to work. After multiple attempts, I simply gave up and reverted to version 2.2, to keep my website functional. Recently, I tried the customization (outlined here: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-video-and-avia-layout-builder-in-ajax-preview/ ) again with version 2.4 of Enfold, and again I’m getting the same results.
The customization has partly “worked” in both cases, removing the left side of the AJAX preview area, which is where the preview image is housed by default. However, instead of opening up the whole preview area for content as it has under version 2.2, under versions 2.3 and 2.4, the rightmost area, limited to a third of the ajax preview width, is simply moved to the left. This leaves the right blank and crams all the content into a narrow column. That may be where the confusion lies… I’m not just concerned with getting rid of the default preview, but also with opening up the the preview area by having what is by default the right-most part actually span the entire width of the preview area. This has allowed me to use videos, and tweak my layouts in a number of ways.
Because of this issue has persisted under version 2.4, I want to ask again if there is a possible workaround, to address whatever may be causing my customization to not work. I should mention that other Enfold users had asked about my layout, and duplicated the steps I took, and are likely running into the same issue after upgrading. I have even had some email me directly. I really have no idea how to solve the issue myself though, but I’m hoping someone in the support team can help.
For now, I have reverted to version 2.2 again, since the upgrade would otherwise leave my site’s formatting a mess, at least for my project previews. I’m hoping to get this resolved so I can safely upgrade to 2.4 and future versions without redoing my site.
Please help!
thank you very much
Omar
I’m trying to work out how to change the space between the header and the slider.
Hopefully this image will describe what I mean

Can we reduce that white spacing somehow?
thanks
This is perhaps an odd and somewhat out of place question for this forum, but maybe I’ll get some insight as to what’s going on from a WordPress/Enfold point of view…..
So, I have a site, let’s call it mysite.com. There is a page titled ‘gallery.’ So, we have mysite.com/gallery. There is a menu on this gallery page listing other pages, such as ‘family gallery.’ So, now we have mysite.com/gallery/familygallery. On this family gallery page then there are several media element galleries inserted, let’s call them gallery 1, gallery 2, etc, which are not pages, they are media element galleries on the familygallery page. Each of these media element galleries contains a dozen images, let’s call them pix1, pix2, etc. These pix are not linked to anything.
Googlebot is showing 404 errors for urls like: mysite.com/gallery/familygallery/pix1, mysite.com/gallery/familygallery/pix2, etc. There are no errors with mysite.com/gallery/familygallery but there is whenever there’s a /pix extension, ie, mysite.com/gallery/familygallery/pix1.
Sitemap shows that only pages are indexed, not pictures. Although I could link the pictures to some page, then when a person clicks on the picture, it would not get larger, but rather go to that page, which I don’t want. Better they are not linked and can be clicked to enlarge.
So, I’m kind of in a quandary not knowing what to do regarding these error codes. It may just be the way it works. I understand this does not necessarily harm seo, but it may; more than that, they keep building up. It seems every week after a crawl, there’s more of these 404’s because of a ‘pix’ extension which ‘can’t be found.’
Hope was clear enough…
Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi rednovaMeUp!
Edit the portfolio item them look for “Overwrite Portfolio Link setting”, set it to “Define custom link”. Add the url of a youtube video or vimeo video. The portfolio images or thumbnail will open the video in a lightbox once click.
Best regards,
Ismael
Hey!
No, this is not possible. You need to create the slider manually. You can visit http://werkpress.com and hire someone who can add this feature.
Best regards,
Ismael
You are welcome, glad we could help :)

Bingo! Thank you so much. The background behind the layer slider is now black while it loads.
Hey!
Add this code to the Quick CSS:
#layer_slider_1 {
background: none !important;
}
Cheers!

Hi, is it normal that the main menu brakes in two lines in an ipad and it shows a white space where it brakes?
Here’s an image of how it looks.

Any advice on how to fix it is welcome.
Jorge.

When I embed a Youtube video (using the automatic WordPress embed) the embedded window is far too big. The preview image is too big for the screen and when you press play, the video resizes, but the black box it is contained in does not. I have embedded videos before on WordPress.com with no problem. How do I fix this please?
P.S: Sorry if this is already covered, I couldn’t see how to search your forum…
Here’s link to the screenshot.

The issue is not when the slider transitions. It’s when the page is loaded or refreshed. The main body background image displays behind where the slider is loading. See screenshot. Thanks.
Hey!
Can you post a screenshot of your view? i don’t see the background showing when the slider transitions.
Cheers!
Josue
Thank you for this code, but it didn’t seem to have any effect on the issue but it did disrupt the drop down menus…strange. I also tried changing the value from “1” to “5” to match the layer slider ID number for the home page. The fire background images is still visible before the slider image is displayed.
Hi!
I am trying to help you here and really do not understand why are you getting angry with me. These are the steps you should follow in order to change the size from 180x180px to 300x300px
1) Please make the changes i posted in my first post ( https://kriesi.at/support/topic/define-image-size-for-blogposts/#post-191919 )
2) You said you know how to regenerate, but in case you have not tried, you can try this plugin i posted in my second post ( https://kriesi.at/support/topic/define-image-size-for-blogposts/#post-192053 )
3) Then you can add following code to Quick CSS in Enfold theme options under Styling tab
#top.single-post .fullsize .single-small.with-slider .blog-meta { width: 300px; }
.single-post .single-small.with-slider .small-preview { width: 300px; height: 300px; }
And that is it, your image size should be 300x300px :)
Best regards,
Yigit
Hey!
Please try adding following code to Quick CSS instead
.socket_color .avia-content-slider .slide-image { background: transparent; }
Cheers!

Hi there,
I have the Enfold theme and I would like to remove the default logo and have nothing. How can I do this? I don’t know how to code, or anything, so I’m hoping there is a simple solution. I have tried [no image] and this created a small box where the logo used to be.
Please help.
Kim
Yigit,
Thanks for the response.
The issue I am having is not being able to specify a class for the image using the Advanced Layout Editor. When I go over to the default editor to do so, it is blank (99% of the time). Sometimes I see the shortcode in the default editor (for whatever reason) but cannot figure out where to add a class to the image.
Thanks
Hi!
Please try adding following code to Quick CSS instead
.page-id-1108 img.solution1:hover {
-webkit-transform: rotate(360deg);
-moz-transform: rotate(360deg);
-o-transform: rotate(360deg);
-ms-transform: rotate(360deg);
transform:: rotate(360deg);
}

Yigit

Ok after even further research I found a work around: feel free to inform me if this is the best way or not.
my conclusion is that this is definitely a retina screen issue. I found this source very helpful:
http://designmodo.com/design-retina-displays/
for the main theme logo:
I found that the containers in place in the theme already constrain the width/height of this so the part about defining the width and height in css wasn’t needed (at least for me) I actually found if I did this the theme would actually shrink the logo more than the size I defined anyway, without some sort of important code. So I removed it and just let the theme naturally constrain the size. But what I did was upload a new logo that was twice the size of what I intended it to be. I previously had a logo that was uploaded at 205×64 pixels and it was being stretched to about 400 some pixels and looking like crap. So by simply uploading an image that was 410×128 pixels and letting the theme auto constrain it to I think max height 80px the logo looks perfect on normal screens and has the pixel dimensions to actually look good when it is enlarged on retina devices. super easy.
Then for my custom background logo replacement trick:
I basically did the same thing, I uploaded an image that was 132×120, twice that of the intended display size of 66×60. Then in my css I just constrained the background image with the desired display size of width 66 and height 60 pixels so it looks right on normal screens and then has the right amount of pixels to look good on retina screens.
As a side note I first used the media query method at the bottom of the source reference to only send the enlarged file actually to retina devices, but I figured for the main logo of my site I would just use it all the time as it is a single file and the file byte size is about the same, and I think that is maybe more future proof. But if I was doing this all over the site with many images I would probably look more at the media query way of targeting only retina devices.
seams to be working now just fine. If you would do anything differently let me know please.
