  • Hi,
Sorry for the late reply, I was able to login to your site by renaming your Enfold theme to enfold1 and braking it and forcing WordPress to load the default theme, I then renamed Enfold back and had no issues.
I carefully reviewed your site and believe that the issue was either the WP-Optimize plugin or the iThemes Security Pro plugin, something was not setting the login cookie correctly. I note that the Enfold Theme Options > Performance > JS & CSS file merging and compression was disabled.
I disabled your plugins and tested logging in on a couple of different browsers without issue.
Please try clearing your browser cache a few times and then login, if you still have problems logging in then try going to your homepage first and accept your site cookie then try logging in again.

    Best regards,
    Mike

Hi, I have to add some style to a a new table, but it seems that both style.css in the child theme and quick CSS do not work.

I have disabled the JS and CSS merging and hard cleared my cache. I do not use specific caching plugins, but just to be sure I disabled also iThemes Security. Still I have the same problem. Could you please check with me what’s going wrong? Thanks

    Hi Rikard

Strange thing. I could access only by iPhone, but not by Desktop. I now have deactivated the “iThemes Security”-Plugin – now the login works again.
    Please try it once again.

    Best regards,

    Claudio

    Hi,

Thanks for that, I replaced the file but I can’t see any changes on my end either. The developer tab is still blank. I’m not sure if your security plugin might be involved here, I’m seeing this message:

iThemes Security noticed file changes in your WordPress site. Please review the logs to make sure your system has not been compromised.

Does it work if you disable that?

    Best regards,
    Rikard

Oh sorry Rikard, my bad – the WP login page is shifted by ithemes security plug (bin private content).

Font color issues are sorted thanks to your css :) Thanks!

    Hi Rikard,
I am not aware of any IP-restrictions. I am using iThemes-Security and I just checked all the settings. I logged in with the credentials I gave you while my VPN was on Austria. I worked.
Are you at liberty to let me know your IP? Then I can whitelist you? If that could be of any use.

Well if the IP is a problem : I work from the Nethetland and there are no problems here.
I’ll send you my ftp credentials.

Kind regards and thanks for your patience.

Hi Monali, I have the same problem:

ERROR: “Could not connect to Google Maps with this API Key.”

Also, with reCAPTCHA the keys don’t work.

Tried multiple times, generated new keys, removed restrictions, waited…. nothing works.
I thought maybe iThemes Security could be interfering, and disabled it. But the same result, keys don’t work.

    Where to start troubleshooting?

    Thanks,
    Carl.

    Hi sosuoj,

It can be disabled by some security plugin like iThemes Security and others.

    Best regards,

    Hi Victoria,

no need for you any more to solve my issue as I could do on my own. The problem was the code of the ithemes security plugin in my wp-config which still referred to the old site.

    Thanks anyway for your help!

    Hi Rikard,
This website was completely not visible in Google until I did 3 things yesterday (not sure if they all contibuted to the site being on the first page of google today).
    1. I replaced the ht.access file code from this:

The site comes up in Google now but when I do mobile test it says it’s mobile friendly but still shows a lot of files not loading properly.
Do you think the ht.access file was blocking Google?

Hi, I update a online site to Enfold last version (4.5.3) and secondly to WP 5.0. Everything’s ok except for the autosaving and saving of pages and posts. An “Update failing” message error comes out.

I checked online the issue and I followed what have been suggested (i.e. saving again permalinks and being sure that WP REST API is enable via iThemes security). Still I have the same problem. There must be an issue with the updating, as I made last month a web site directly starting from WP 5.0 and installing Enfold last version without any issue: everything worked smoothly.

    Any suggestion?

    Thanks

    Hi Ismael,

I have a website running Enfold and iThemes Security, but using the Contact Form, I’m getting some spam even though the captcha is turned on. If I install sucuri scanner alongside iThemes and both are enabled, is that overkill or would they conflict each other?

I got a Norton Malware alert:
    (Link below)

Really strange… I deduct only the forceSSL – part?
Is this a part of the theme? (iThemes Support says so).

    Hey,
Your code works perfectly! thank you so much.

I don’t understand the 2nd part though, German is not my native language.
    What is DSGVO?

Do you mean that I should force https on everything?
One plugin I use – iThemes Security has that feature.

    Thanks,
    Elad.

    Hi there :-)

My Enfold Theme has a fatal bug:
some of the color sections disappears, every time (or every second time) I save a page…
And its a problem on all the pages on my website, not just one page.

The Enfold shortcode parser gives me these errors – but how can I fix them? :-)

    Show Parser Info:
    0 warning(s), 4 error(s), 0 fatal error(s) were detected parsing the shortcodes:

How and where can I solve this exactly? I am quite frustrated now – I am not a coder ;-) I have written to support many times – but thought there might be one of you wise persons, in this forum who knows, how to solve the 4 errors that the parser shows :-)
PLEASE I have used 4 days of my life on this problem! :-D

    Best regards
    Laura

PS: I am using the latest version of Enfold (4.2.6) and WordPress is updated as well – and I have only well proven and recommended plugins installed, fx: bbPress, iThemes Security, Akismet Anti-Spam (my last two plugins I installed after the problem showed up….).

    Hi again,
Now its been a while – but I was really about to just give up :-D

Nearly everytime I save my work it is only the first 2 colorsection which remains – the rest of the sections just disappears! I have to remember to save my page as a template in order to keep my work – then sometimes I get lucky, and the page is saved correct – and all the sections will stay.
But it is very (!!!) annoying and it makes the work process very very slow…

Plugin list below: I have only these 5 plugins installed (used by thousands of other WP-users + valid and proven plugins) – and no – unfortunately it doesn’t help to uninstall them. BUT I dare not uninstall one: the bbPress plugin – I really want a blog and bbPress – and it should work with Enfold, right?

    # bbPress
    # iThemes Security (I have re-installed)
    # Akismet Anti-Spam (I have re-installed)
    # UpdraftPlus – Backup/Restore (NEW installed after)
    # Really Simple SSL (NEW installed after)

PS: I managed to get rid of the comment section ( “Click here to add your own text”) at the bottom of some pages (…as mentioned in my first message).

    Best regards :-)

    Hi,
For the iThemes Security plugin, you will find the setting at: iThemes Security > Settings > WordPress Tweaks > File Editor > Disable File Editor
    2018-03-19_070249
    2018-03-19_070335
I disabled it for you so your editor will now show.

    Best regards,
    Mike

I normally live by the rule “Never change a winning team”, and so I wonder if it is necesdsary to implement the extensions and updates? Or can this do harm and make changes to my website that I dont want? Now I have suggested updates like “Akismet Anti-Spam”, “iThemes Security” and “WP Super Cache” ……

    Hi,
there was iThemes Security enabled that hide Editor panel. Is disabled it now.
You can do al the tests you want: the site is not yet live.
The child theme has certainly some custom functions and styles
    Thank you

    Hi Rikard,
I had another look at the security tool (I’m using iThemes Security Pro) and I think I might know what the issue is. I had “Away Mode” enabled for hours I wouldn’t need to login to the website. So with the time difference you might have been trying to login when that was set to not allow access to the the WP dashboard. I disabled that, so hopefully you can login now.

    Hi,

There is a wonderful plugin called backupbuddy that will take a full copy of a current site (database and all files) that you can then deploy elsewhere. This is by far the easiest method I know of migrating sites. During migration it also re-writes all links in database. I have used it to move sites from dev to uat to live with no issues.

It isn’t free but if you are going to be moving several sites it is worth its weight in gold.

As a bonus you can schedule partial or full back ups each week / month which adds a nice level of security in case the worst happens.
I also use it before any WordPress or plugin up date to back a site up.

You can manually export pages / posts/ etc via WordPress and then manually export the database. Import them both to the new domain and do a sql search to change urls.

    Hope that helps a little

    Hello,
I have an issue with my website. Some elements and media don’t display at all in front, while displaying normally in the back office page preview. For exemple, this page : http://teknofun-entertainment.com/produits/
works perfectly fine in the preview mode, but seems broken for users.
I can’t figure it out. I uninstalled all my plugins, tried to check the media files, but nothing works. Even stranger, i have seen on the source code that the image are present, they just don’t appear.
And finally, changing something from the back-office doesn’t change anything on the front anymore, so i can’t even redo the page anew.
Some help would be greatly appreciated!

It was disabled in the iThemes Security Pro settings. I just made it visible again, so you should be able to see it now.
