In reply to: Vertical bars appearing in map
Hi Devin,
I regret to say that there is no xmlns:fb line inside my header.php file… I checked everywhere and there is none.
Also, I deactivated all the plugins and the maps disappear. I went to check in the backend and saw that it fails to pick up the correct map widget in the widget area, where it says “displayed everywhere” within the drop down menu. When I scroll it I can see the sidebar widget I called “map”, I can select it, but when I hit save the page returns me always the “dispalyed everywhere” instead of “map” and I can’t see any map.
I recall this was an issue happening already before in a previous post at a few other users including me and if I am not wrong, one of you told me to insert some custom css in the quick css panel, which I did, and solved the problem. The custom css is probably still there, within the quick css panel, yet the map is no longer there.
Unfortunately now, I have so many different lines of code you gave me inside the quick css that I have no idea which one regulates what…
What should I do?

PS: Also, when deactivating the plugins I saw there is a drop-in which I have no idea what that is and it cannot be deactivated? Is that part of Enfold installation?
Here is what it says on the plugin page:
Drop-ins are advanced plugins in the wp-content directory that replace WordPress functionality when present.

For the first question, no unfortunately not. The line is actually a separate element next to the text so it would need to be re-done to have two separate entities for the lines on either side.

Gary,
Permalink and breadcrum structure are different things. Your permalink structure dictates the slug-name and how it gets added to your url.
The breadcrumbs are set by where the page is in the logical structure of your site. It also takes into account where the user came from so if you are going from Home directly to a sub category the the breadcrumb will read Home>Category .

I’ve tried doing the steps in your video for adding the Advanced Layout Editor to custom post types. It doesn’t seem to work. I’ve created a duplicate of meta.php with identical folder structure in my working child theme folder.I’ve changes the two code sections to match the slug for the CPT I’m trying to use ALE with. Neither the ALE button or the theme options appear in the edit window for my CTP.

I will like to change one thing in the ajax search. When the results are appearing, it appears the excerpt or the date for that entry. I will like to show the category which belongs to. I already find the place where to change (in functions-enfold.php) but when I try to retrieve the category, the only thing that appears is the string Array.
How I can fix it?

I’m working on new wersion of my website using Enfold theme. (early beta here: http://n.mediology.pl/homepage/ ) I’d like it to be pseudo “single page” where menu buttons scroll main page to the right section. And all of it working well but – and this is my question – I want it to scroll slower then now. Where I can find right function for control scrolling speed? :)

I understand changing via FTP which is no problem. Is there a plugin at all which helps with this?
Also is there a way of the Enfold gallery having the images centered and not aligned in the top left-hand corner?

maybe a silly question, but what would you call best practice to update. Setting: I am currently using Enfold 1.8.4 on WP 3.5.2
Should i update Enfold first to 1.9, then to 1.9.1, then perform the WP automatic update from the Dashboard or the othe way round?

Hello guys,

Hi, Noticed that there is no ‘Audio’ Format available in the Enfold theme for Posts.
Made these changes in the ‘functions.php’ file:
/*
* add post format options
*/
add_theme_support( ‘post-formats’, array(‘link’, ‘quote’, ‘gallery’,’video’,’image’,’audio’) );
Now I see the ‘Audio’ Format available for Posts but after choosing this format, the Post ‘Title’ looses its normal formatting. Meaning it doesn’t show in the CENTER, nor is it BOLD and doesn’t LINK to the Post; like all other Post Titles.
FIX for the above in the next version would be really nice…

Hi Chris,
If you’ve updated Enfold you can also update to WordPress 3.6.
However you have a javascript error coming from something with Facebook and another from a javascript error. So you should try disabling all active plugins before trying anything else to see if there is a javascript conflict.

That is completely different than what I’m suggesting and really we are not able to walk you through creating it. We don’t have an open book for every effect possible with the LayerSlider.
What that appears to be is a LayerSlider slideshow set to autorotation with multiple slides of the same image repeated and animated on top of itself 8 times.
So this image: http://clientbased.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/CBS-client-logos.jpg is in the LayerSlider 8 times and each is animated to get that effect.
The exact details of it are unknown without seeing it live.
For the above settings, if you have multiple images in your slideshow and they are not animating you are probably on WordPress 3.6 but not Enfold version 1.9.1. If you are not, then you need to add multiple images in order for the slider to animate.
Ok well now it is working. I didn’t do anything differently, I must have refreshed 10 times and reset my cache and it was working but now it magically is.
So I guess maybe look over my change Was that the right code to mess with. Well I mean the best choice?

Hi. I’ve updated Enfold to the latest version 1.9.1 following the above instructions, but the fullwidth easy slider still doesn’t work. Sticks on first page on chrome, and no arrows showing in IE, although you can click on dots at bottom and see next photo in IE (not chrome). Here’s one of the pages:

Hey Guys I know this stuff has been asked before but I am not able to find a straight forward answer that say. I am a bit of a novice fyi. my site is http://www.jackandaddi.com for reference.
PART 1
I have assigned a fixed header with social icons. the container height is being set at 116 px and then when you scroll down it shrinks to 58 px I think. I want to change the height to be something more like 80 px at the largest. It is too tall and the logo wont center in that space. I am running a child theme setup. in layout.css I found
.social_header #header_main .container, .social_header .main_menu ul:first-child > li a { height:116px; line-height: 116px; }
and changed it is say 80 px height and line-height. and then copy pasted that code into my styles.css in my child theme. But nothing changed? Is this the wrong code to change?
PART 2
On my single blog post pages I want there to be no sidebar. so I can place large picture sliders on the main content area. I have the blog style set to Single author big preview image. And no sidebar selected on the single blog post pages.
The blog meta info, post title, body text content, and anything I place in the post all gets squished into a 600px wide container. I want this to be larger. I want it to match the feature image with of 1030px. so like above in layout.css I found this code:

I changed all the max-widths to 1030px and then copy pasted this into my child theme style.css file and nothing changes. Is this the rigth code to manipulate. I don’t want to do it with the post id EVERY time I want all posts to be that wide.

Afaik the latest version (4.6.0) of LayerSlider which is bundled with Enfold 1.9.1 shouldn’t display this message. At least the plugin author claims that v4.6.0 is fully compatible with WP3.6.

avia_sc_toggle::$tags = $start + avia_sc_toggle::$tags;Unfortunately it’s not possible to pre-select another sort option and the items would be unsorted/unfiltered even if you remove the “All” link.

};You can increase or decrease the delay value to change the speed at which navigation menus display. The value is in ms (300ms).

Ill buy the Incarnation theme then and try to integrate it. Im not a developer, but ill see what I can do. Hiring a freelance developer as a small volunteering based community aint possible atm ;).

One other thing…
When viewing a ‘special heading’ on an iPad in portrait mode, much of the text is either cut off, or goes under other text if there are more than say six words. I would have thought it would respond and drop to two lines and not continue as one…
