Hi LASKIN,
You can delete any of the pages by going to Pages and the hovering over a page you want to delete and clicking on “Trash”.
The same can be done for Posts, Portfolio Items and Media.

Hi,
I would like to use ENFOLD’s “latest news” widget in that way, once that it shows only the “latest news” of category A, and twice (as another widget below) the “latest news” of category B.
Is there a solution for it, or if this won’t work, a plugin?
I don’t know for what to search …

If you are seeing version 1.7 as the theme version number then you have not updated the theme.

its getting used to the new framework.
In the previous version:
by using the magic wand you had the option to place a widget shortcode of the latest posts in a page:
[widget widget_name=”avia_newsbox” widget_class_name=”newsbox” title=”” count=”3″ excerpt=”show title only”]
In the enfold backend i cannot :-(
It’s possible with the widget, but in a page you cannot place a widget.
So what is the shortcode for this, or how can we achieve this (or code to get this info)…
Hope you have a shortcode ready for it…

It seems like your server blocks the access to the dynamic stylesheet: http://www.hcs.harvard.edu/~rce/wp-content/uploads/dynamic_avia/enfold.css which contains the custom css code and the code which is generated when you save the styling settings (Enfold > Theme Options). Make sure that the file permission is set to 777 – Enfold must be able to read/write to this file and external visitors must be able to view & download the file – otherwise the browser can’t load & interpret the css code.

Topic: Theme retina ready
Hi.
What does it mean, that the theme is retina ready.
1, Do i still need some plugins like “wp retina 2x” or do i just upload a picture twice as big as i need for a normal resolution and the theme takes care of it?
2. If plugins required, what do you recomend for enfold?
3. What about the Layerslider?

$additional_loop = new WP_Query("cat=".$cat."&order=ASC&orderby=title&posts_per_page=".$count);I systematically went through disabling one plugin at a time and the issue seems to be some sort of conflict with LearnDash LMS. I am running v. 1.4.1 of that plugin. As soon as I deactivate it, my menus came back.
Big bummer as I was hoping to use that plugin (and purchased it) to create some online courses. Any suggestions on how to resolve the conflict?

That is a pretty common issue for servers. It just means you need to either delete the theme before uploading it or upload via FTP so that you aren’t getting the permissions issue on overwriting the folder.

The problem is that Entypo (the icon font) doesn’t include a YouTube icon. However i found a temporary workaround (using a video icon with the default red background):
Be sure that you are using the latest version of Enfold, then you need to add these lines of code at the end of these files respectively:
/enfold/includes/admin/register-admin-options.php:
$avia_elements[106][0] = array_merge($avia_elements[106][0], array('Youtube' => 'youtube'));/enfold/functions.php
$avia_config = array_merge($avia_config, array('youtube' => '🎬'));Then if you go to the Theme options you will see that there’s is a Youtube option:

Topic: responsive menu
Hi there,
I’m having a problem with the main Enfold menu. I notice that on the enfold demo page, the menu turns into a drop-down menu before the menu will overlap the logo. However on our development site, as the site responds, the main menu overlaps the logo and doesn’t turn into a dropdown menu until a smaller window size. Is there a way we can define at what point the menu changes from the standard menu to the dropdown menu? Thanks.

Hi hbenagh,
The easy slider will grow or shrink to its container. So in the advanced layout editor you can put it in a column element to change the container of it.
The image size you choose just picks the size that gets inserted but the container still adapts the image to fit the container instead.
The footer widgets are there as placeholders so you just need to insert any widget into the footer widget areas and they will be changed. If you don’t want any, you can use blank text widgets.

I mean the slide where the balloons are “flying” in and then “flying” out again, same with the text.
In my case here it does not work, that the white text, that has “slide from left” as “transition in”, now “slide to left” as I have set as “transition out”. I would like the text sliding in the photo from the left and after some time it should slide again to the left and disappear from the photo.
Would you mind to post me the screenshots of the settings for this “baloon slide” from the demo

(It has unfortunately not come with the demo data, and the slider that comes with the demo, has no “flying/sliding” out of texts.)

Topic: filter for contact form
I have found a usefull filter for the plugin contact-form-7. The filter helps to add the last visited page before the contact page. Is it possible, to add this filter to the regular enfold contact form? And how to do?

First off… love the theme!
I have run into a snag that I’m hoping you can help me resolve. I am still developing my site, but have a few posts & portfolio items that are tagged. When I click on a tag I am taken to the ‘Tag Archive for:…’ page, but both the Main Menu and Secondary Menus disappear. I am using the ‘Fixed Header with Social Icons and additional Navigation’ option for the header; but the problem persists with the other header layouts.
This is also happening on the ‘Category Archive for:…’ pages.

Topic: Blog Grid
I cannot get the blog grid component to create entries that are equal size. Perhaps I am just missing the field to enter the parameter. I am looking to have posts align in a grid in the same manner as the Enfold live demo. Essentially equal sized rectangles. My blog entries have the correct number of columns but i cannot see how to get the length to truncate and form a neat grid.
