Hi there, I’m newer to WP and Enfold, but love the power and tools so far. Quite intuitive and great forums resources, especially the Enfold theme.
However, I’m unable to find a solution in editing the styles colors in the General settings of the Woocommerce plugin in the Enfold theme.
Specifically, I want to change the Highlight color to #85ad74. I’d like to edit the other ones, as well.
And so for some reason, when changing any of the color codes and hitting save, the changes are not saved and it goes back to the default colors.
My newly, soft-launched site is http://www.cherryblooms.com.
Any advice is appreciated.
Topic: Placing buttons side by side
Hi guys,
Without using separate layout elements, how do I place 2 or more buttons side by side, as per your buttons page here: http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/shortcodes/buttons/?skin=Splash%20Green?skin=Splash%20Green
So just to clarify, if I am using the avia layout builder and have, for example, selected a one-half layout element and then placed a special heading inside it and then I want to add 2 buttons side by side (horizontally) underneath the heading, how would I do it? All I can manage myself at the moment is having 2 buttons side by side by pasting the shortcodes into a text block and making one ‘left aligned’ and the other ‘right aligned’, but that puts them at either side of the div and not next to each other how I would like them to be.
What am I missing?!
Many thanks in advance,
Matt
Team Kriesi has done a great job building the breadcrumb script, I read about the origins of this way back in 2008.
There are situations where it would be desirable to be able to designate a parent breadcrumb to a page which may not have any hierarchy. Based on previous posts regarding breadcrumbs I think this could be useful for many Kriesi theme owners.
I have figured out the process to do this, however I have not found the exact location to set the parent post ID in enfold/framework/php/class-breadcrumb.php
I’m using advance custom fields to optionally assign a parent breadcrumb post ID – ‘parent_breadcrumb_postid’
This field can then be used to assign a parent breadcrumb in enfold/framework/php/class-breadcrumb.php
<?php if(get_field('parent_breadcrumb_postid')) { $post_id = get_field('parent_breadcrumb_postid'); } ?>Should the above code for retrieving the parent_breadcrumb_postid (if assigned) be placed in the class-breadcrumb.php file before the function starting line 521 function avia_breadcrumbs_get_parents( $post_id = ”, $path = ” )
Thank you Team Kriesi for providing outstanding support for the best wordpress theme … Enfold
First of all I would like to say that this is an amazing theme. I have used Avada & uDesign on some of my other sites, but the Enfold theme is truly amazing. I anticipate switching all my websites over to this theme in the very near future. You folks have done an amazing job on this theme, keep up the good work.
When I was searching for a new theme I came across Enfold and Inovado and thankfully came to the decision in choosing Enfold. My only complaint so far (and granted this is me being picky as this theme is far superior) is that I preferred Inovado “Call to Action” design over Enfolds Promo Boxes. I thought the design gave it a certain dynamic that made it truly stand out on the page like a call-to-action button should.
I am a novice at CSS so I tried figuring out a way to style the promo boxes to give it that extra “WOW” factor, but I am having a very difficult time doing it. Would it be possible to assist me or point me in the right direction on how I could add some style (border, h2, p) to your promo boxes so that they have a similar appearance to that of Inovado’s “Call Out” feature?

Hello,
Thank you for creating this wonderful and easy to use theme. We’re all really excited about our new website and we’ve spent the last couple of days playing with some of the features and we’ve been astounded by the results. However we’ve stumbled upon a really crucial problem regarding internationalization. This is very important to us since we use German as default and English as a secondary language.
Basically, when creating multilingual content with pages every page is redirected correctly apart from the Homepage. When viewing the homepage in German, the language switcher in the footer redirects the user to the homepage’s English counterpart at http://www.example.com/en/{name-of-the-page} instead of http://www.example.com/en/. The same thing happens when visiting the English version of the website and navigating back to German. This wouldn’t bother me that much if it was just the language switcher, however even the XML sitemap uses the wrong URLs which is pretty bad for SEO.
At first we thought that this is an issue with WPML, so I filled for support at their support forum.
I hope this image carefully crafted in paint will help you visualize the problem and examine the settings:

After trying everything, even doing a clean install with just WordPress, WPML and Enfold, I’ve concluded that the issue resides with the theme itself. I’ve also seen the issue appear on other websites using the theme. We’ve also tried some other commercial themes and they work asHi there!
It seems to me there is a typo in the file enfold.css on line 82 when using Georgia as body font:
body {
font-family: ‘ georgia’,’HelveticaNeue’,’Helvetica Neue’,Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif;
}
(notice the space after ” ‘ ” and the lower “g”)So Firefox doesn’t show “Georgia” but the sans-serif “Helvetica Neue”. After all, the whole line doesn’t make much sense, since Georgia is a serif font, so the alternative fonts should also be some serif types, eg.
font-family: ‘Georgia’,’Times’,’Times New Roman’,serif;
like it is used in .georgia-websave in base.css – but that line isn’t applied in my Firefox for some reason and so in Firefox the body is sans-serif when using Georgia. Safari makes it serif – like it should be.I’m sorry to tell you that my website (is not yet finished) http://www.equipodemarketing.com the logo adaptation to the smartphone mode does not adapt themselves to the different wide formats. I looks like the logo .png, 340×156 is not responsive, it’s not flexible, it always remains at the same size.
Have a look at – http://www.equipodemarketing.com
I have used the last Enfold update: Version 2.4
Tell me please what can I do, with instructions of how to repair the bug. Many thanks and regards from Madrid, AdolfoHello Enfold,
I have two questions:
1) If I am using a fixed image, how do I make it so that it doesn’t interfere with the left sidebar menu, and therefore only shows on 2/3 of the page to the right? check out this dillemma here: http://integrativeportlandtherapist.com/?page_id=1195As you can see, when I insert a fixed image the left sidebar menu is all the way at the bottom of the page, and it can only be inserted at the full length of the page. I want to only have it on the right side…
2) The logo on my front page has too much space underneath it. How to I change it so that it is centered better? You can see this here: http://www.integrativeportlandtherapist.com
Thanks,
TimI have been hosting my Revit video training series on Udemy and using my WordPress blog just to drive traffic to Udemy, but changes there have me looking at hosting my courses myself.
1: First I need a membership management tool, like WishList Member.
2: Once I have membership covered, I will need to address streaming video and CDN integration. (Right now I have a couple of courses that amount to 30 GB of video files, and probably 25GB/month in traffic, but that will need to go up.)
3: Once I have those two, I need to manage creating “Products” and tieing them into the previous two. (probably 10 “products” within a year, with anywhere from 15 to 200 “members” for each product, with lots of overlap.)
Is all this really reasonable for someone rather new to WordPress and eCommerce (15 years experience in Architecture and IT, thus the topic of my training courses) or should I be seriously considering hiring someone?Also, I am trying to understand the Enfold licensing. To me it looks like as soon as I have anything on my site behind a paywall the cost goes from $55 to $2750, which is right out of my startup ballpark. Hoping someone can set me straight there, because I have been really happy with the theme. But of course when I switched from Standard theme I wasn’t expecting a change in hosting from Udemy.
Thanks for any insights!
Gordon
