I am using Event Espresso and enfold 2.4.2
The functionality I am having trouble with in Enfold is working fine in a default wordpress theme (i.e., 2013)Problem: on most of the Event Espresso shortcode created content, the formatting is getting “messed up” by Enfold.
Meaning: button colors and spacing are being “messed up”.
Here’s the weird thing! — certain pages auto-generated by Event Espresso are working fine.
I’m trying to figure out how to get the shortcode pages to display okay as well.Here are the steps:
1. Click on an event link from the calendar ( i.e., http://tekpal.com/event-registration/?ee=12 )
the default CSS formatting from event espresso is getting overwritten and not lookin “good”.
(You’ll see what I mean by “good” at Step 6, below)What should it look like?
2. To see, do the following:
2.1 — enter a first name, last name and email address (bogus is fine) :-)
2.2 — click “add additional attendee”
2.3 — enter a second first, last and email (bogus is fine)3. click submit (notice ugly/bad css formatted “submit” button…)
4. This verify registration screen is also getting CSS conflicts. —
You can tell because “confirm registration” button is not formatting properly.5. Click on “Edit” next to the second attendee name.
6. When you get to the Edit Registration page, this page is formatting properly.
Can you tell me why this page is formatting properly, and how do I get the rest of the Event Espresso pages to format the same way?Thank you! : )

Sorry if this is a very stupid question, but Im absolutely WP beginner…
I purchased Avada & Enfold Theme and find Enfold with its Template Builder extremely nice… But when it comes down to customize the CSS, Avada has much simpler features… for example in Enfold I can only change the body font… but not the sizes for each paragraph…I know CSS is almost basic stuff, but wouln’t it be nice if you could add this feature in the Enfold backend… would be more logical instead of changing CSS parts even in enfold backend & in CSS and make everything much simpler…

You can customize each of your pages however you want using the advanced layout editor. If you want a different layerslider to be at the top of each you would just need to create a different one for each page.

Hi,
I’m using the Why Enfold – Small Header setup as the header of a page, but want all pages to have a different header.. how do I assign a specific header (or slide) to a page instead of using them all?

Hey Barabbas!
If you don’t have access to your site via FTP then you’ll need to talk to your host about changing the chmod permissions on the theme folders in your WordPress admin so that you can write over the theme file by uploading from the WordPress admin.

I am seeing variable behaviour when switching between advanced and basic editing modes. Sometimes, when switching from advanced to basic view, I see my content with [shortcode] brackets in place. Others, it just displays an empty window, which, if I type something in it, blows away anything that used to appear in the advanced window.
Is this a bug or are we generally not supposed to switch back and forth

In menu i have only small, big & multi.Hi, I use Enfold installed into WordPress and no FTP. I DLed the theme again from Themeforest to see if I could get the update and it says that the Installation failed because of the same folder name exists was wondering if that is the correct way to DL the new update and I installed it wrong or something else?

I’ll just jump in here. In your dashboard, go to Appearance –> Editor –> It opens in your custom CSS file.
Make sure you use a ChildTheme to make changes or they will be lost when you upgrade your theme.

I’m having big problems, trying to make ANY(!) social plug-in work with WooCommerce under the Enfold theme. I’ve tried to trouble-shoot all day today, but no result :(
The social buttons appear next to the product, ok. But when I click them – for example to share or like a product on Facebook – the product image/thumb does not appear on the Facebook post.
First I thought it may have to do with some of my theme customisation. So I re-uploaded the original Enfold theme, without any custom.css whatsoever. And also did a clean install of the WooCommerce plugin. My products have a standard “Featured Image”. But this image just doesn’t want to display on Facebook.
Tried different browsers, disabling ALL browser-plugins. No luck.Even if I manually copy & paste the product URL into Facebook: Facebook only shows the URL text, but not the image.
I’ve tried three different “social button” plugins. None of them work:

Social Sharing ToolkitI used to run a few plug-ins (like “W3 Total Cache” and a few others). Deactivated them. Still: it doesn’t work. Whatever I try – the Product Images just WON’T display on Facebook or Google+ …. or any other social media.

The only thing that will be effected is if you have copied over any of the files from the parent root folder into your child theme. For example the header.php file or footer.php file.
Upgrades never change your theme settings since they are saved in the WordPress database against your theme name.

DevinThat’s not right, Devin. The content of a child theme will always be first loaded, if it’s in the same directory structure as the parent. If I’d like to have a custom category view on Enfold, a copy of functions/loop-single.php within the child will do the trick quite nice.
As for the framework-specific stuff it get’s more complicated, because the developer needs to know where and when files are included. This is the hard stuff where “regular” people will get stuck. Thous, this can be handled the same way, if you copy over the file which is including the other (or calling the function).
Frequently asked as example:
Enabling the post type or other post types so they may use the layout builder. This needs to be done in the parent (meta.php) and get’s lost, if the theme is updated. So copying this file won’t do the trick, because meta.php is included elsewhere. Applying the filter within the child functions.php also won’t work, because it is overwriten from the parent (and the inclusion of a different file afterwards).If I set a stop point in eclipse, the array from the child functions.php is substituted. On a later point it get’s overwritten by the include.
So if I move on to the template-builder.class.php where the meta.php is included around line 409 within the function apply_editor_wrap. If I copy over this file to my child, the meta.php from my child will be loaded.
I don’t need to tell that this is a rookie way – developers would/may e. g. refactor the function – otherwise if you like to have a lot of customisation you are forced to include around 50% of the Enfold framework… bad idea. ;)

Hi,
On Homepage it’s the gallery next to “Some enfold core features”. This type of gallery allows me to add as manny image I want and when I click on on they open in light boxes.
My “problem” is I’d like to be able to have the same gallery but with no vignette underneath. I’d have just the image in the big square and when I click in the lightbox I could see all the images I have put in my gallery.
I think what I mean is : does this gallery can act as an album?To get rid of the vignettes underneath the big picture I was wondering if I needed a developer to do that kind of customization or if it could be done by css.

Please update Enfold to the latest version 2.4.2. It includes the latest version of LayerSlider as well.
