    Topic: Help: Headline Rotator

    in forum Enfold
    PrivitMarketing
    Participant

    I am trying to setup a header using the Headline Rotator widget exactly as it’s shown at the top of the screen on the demo site -https://preview.themeforest.net/item/enfold-responsive-multipurpose-theme/full_screen_preview/4519990

    I can’t get any full-width layer-slider looking header like the demo page for this widget shows. I can only make it look like a normal text box.

    What am I missing?

    Hi,
    Glad to help, apparently there is a conflict with the plugin.
    I believe there was an update issue with your version.
    To update your version of Enfold you will need to download the latest version from your Theme Forest account and upload it to your WordPress ▸ Appearance ▸ Themes ▸ Add Themes ▸ Add New
    WordPress_Appearance_Themes_Add-Themes_Add-New.jpg
    after you choose the zip file and click install, you will see a This theme is already installed message because you are updating, you can continue
    Installing_theme_from_uploaded_file_This_theme_is_already_installed.jpg
    then you will see the Theme updated successfully message.

    Hi,
    Thanks, I found the problem was your WP Maintenance Mode & Coming Soon I deactivated it and now all is fine :)
    I also noticed that you are using Enfold v4.9.2.3 I recommend updating to v5.1.2, I don’t know if it has something to do with the error, but you should anyways.

    Hi evas49,

    I will forward your request to our devs.
    To reverse the hover effect for desaturation, please add this CSS code in Enfold > General Styling > Quick CSS:

    #top .av-hover-overlay-desaturation .av-masonry-image-container {
        -webkit-filter: saturate(100%);
        filter: saturate(100%);
    }

    #top .av-hover-overlay-desaturation .av-masonry-entry:hover .av-masonry-image-container {
        -webkit-filter: saturate(30%);
        filter: saturate(30%);
    }

    Hallo,

    Bei der Überprüfung über ‘sicher3.de’ haben wir folgende Meldung bekommen.

    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
    Google-Fonts-Checker:
    https://fonts.gstatic.com/s/roboto/v18/kfomcnqeu92fr1mu4mxm.woff
    https://fonts.gstatic.com/s/roboto/v18/kfomcnqeu92fr1mu4mxm.woff
    https://fonts.gstatic.com/s/roboto/v30/kfomcnqeu92fr1mu4mxm.woff

    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

    Wir möchten Google Fonts datenschutzkonform eingebunden haben, aber kommen hier nicht weiter. Wir hatten über unser Child Theme diese Schriften bereits auf den eigenen Server,
    trotzdem ist diese Verknüpfung noch nicht vorhanden. Sie wurden über das style.css im Child Theme eingetragen.

    Wir haben uns informiert und verschiedenes ausprobiert, kommen aber zu kein zufriedenstellendes Ergebnis:

    Im Tutorial:
    https://kriesi.at/support/topic/loading-google-fonts-locally-for-gdpr-compliance/

    …bin ich alle Punkte durchgegangen und hatte zum Schluss eine Zip Datei hergestellt und hochgeladen. Da wir aber ein Enfold Child Theme verwenden, musste ich um den ‘Custom Font Manager’ zu verwenden vorher wieder auf das ‘ Enfold parent theme’ wechseln.

    In der Zip Datei (mit dem Namen ‘Robot’ waren alle Schriften enthalten ‘.woff, .woff2, .svg and .eot’, tatsächlich wurde aber nur eine Schrift eingefügt.

    Nur bisher sind immer noch diese ungewollte Google Verknüpfungen zu sehen.

    Was machen wir falsch, bzw. was muss geschehen, damit diese Verknüpfung zu Google nicht mehr vorhanden ist.

    Ich habe irgendwo im Forum gelesen, wir müssten bevor wir die Schriften einfügen den Ordner Enfold’ umbenennen und ein ganz neues Enfold Theme downloaden und aktivieren, da sonst Probleme auftreten können?

    Warum ist das alles so kompliziert, kann das nicht noch etwas Kundenfreundlicher sein,
    vor allen Dingen, für Kunden die keine Entwickler sind.

    Würde mich über Tipps freuen.

    Hi,
    Thank you for the login to your site, I see that you were able to change the logo and homepage of your site.
    When you imported the Enfold Creative Studio demo it created many of the demo pages on your site, including the homepage that you would like to emulate. I linked to it below for you.
    You can check out the diagonal section elements to see how they were created and add them to your current homepage, or you can edit the demo homepage with your content and make it your new homepage in the theme options when you are done.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Thanks. Another issue I can’t resolve is contact form Enfold Numeric Captcha… Due to the extra text the box to enter an answer in captcha is lower than the others, can that be fixed somehow as it looks bad and inconsistent. https://lustr.org/

    Hi,
    Unfortunately, you would not be able to modify the advanced styles options, it would not be an easy thing.
    It would be much easier to add some css into the Enfold Theme Options ▸ General Styling ▸ Quick CSS field which is what it is designed for.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi,

    @Thina
    thanks for your question, I have tested @NIXHALBES function and it is working for me just by following his instructions.
    But if you are not using a child theme your changes will be lost with future theme updates, so please use a child theme Get it here.
    Then you will need to create a directory named js in your child theme.
    Then create a file named norobotofontbymaps.js whith the code above, I have uploaded the one I used here.
    Finally, add this code to the end of your child theme functions.php file in Appearance ▸ Editor:

    function agwp_addCustomScripts(){
        wp_enqueue_script('norobotofontbymaps',get_stylesheet_directory_uri().'/js/norobotofontbymaps.js');
    }
    add_action('wp_enqueue_scripts', 'agwp_addCustomScripts');

    If you have any trouble please create a new thread and include a recap, FTP access, and WordPress admin access in the Private Content area. Since this is not your thread posting your login here will not be private and you will not see anything we write in the Private Content area.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hello

    My client would like to have two lines of menu links on the top nav, we tried to shorten the length of the links but the client is requesting two rows of links stacked on each other. Is there a way to do this?

    Thanks so much

    Hey brianwelsh,

    I see that you are running an old version of the theme, could you try to update to the latest version (5.1.2) to see if that helps please? The update to 5.x has to be done manually from the version you are running, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541
    You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/
    If that doesn’t work then please try to delete the whole theme folder, then replace it with the new version. Make sure that you have backups of the site before starting updating.
    Also please read this after you have updated: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/

    In reply to: preview and on line

    Hi,
    Thank you for your patience and for the login, I created a test copy of your homepage and found that if the color section overlay color or opacity was changed at all then the color section background image disappeared, and if I changed the size of the background or it’s Background Attachment from fixed to scroll it would also disappear.
    I then created a test copy of your homepage on my test site but this error did not occur. I checked that your Enfold Theme Options ▸ Performance ▸ JS & CSS file merging and compression was disabled and that your Enfold Theme Options ▸ Performance ▸ Delete old CSS and JS files was enabled and that you have no caching plugins, which all was true.
    I believe that your web server is caching the inline posts_css and when the elements are changed on the page the element classes for the post css files change and thus the proper css is not called.
    I added this function in your functions.php to disable the posts css file generation:

    function custom_avf_post_css_create_file( $create )
    {
    	return false;
    }
    add_filter( 'avf_post_css_create_file', 'custom_avf_post_css_create_file', 10, 1 );

    and this solved the issue, please clear your browser cache and check.
    I believe that your server is using object-oriented caching such as Memcached, Redis, Varnish, Litespeed, etc. and you could disable that to also solve, but you site might become a little slower, so as long as my fix works for you it is what I would recommend.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi,

    that are running PHP 7.4 currently!

    have said it is down to the Enfold Theme I am using on both sites? Can you help please?

    #1365340

    Hi,
    Please note that the code you posted and the code Nikko posted are two different codes, so this code that was on line 17 in your functions.php is not correct and will cause the error, if you see it please remove:

    function av_breadcrumbs_shortcode( $atts ) {
        return avia_breadcrumbs(array('separator' => '/', 'richsnippet' => true));
    }
    add_shortcode( 'av_breadcrumbs', 'av_breadcrumbs_shortcode' );

    this is the correct code that you should add to your child theme functions.php so that your shortcode will work:

    function av_breadcrumbs_shortcode( $atts ) {
    return Avia_Breadcrumb_Trail()->get_trail( array( 'separator' => '/', 'richsnippet' => true ) );
    }

    add_shortcode( 'av_breadcrumbs', 'av_breadcrumbs_shortcode' );

    If you are not using a child theme then you can add this to your parent theme functions.php, but note that it will be lost when to update.
    If you still have trouble then please include admin login in the Private Content area so we can be of more assistance.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Guten Morgen! / Good morning!

    In meinen Enfold-Einstellungen ist nirgendwo die Farbe grau zusehen. Dennoch werden besuchte Links (Textlinks) in Grau angezeigt. Wie lautet der CSS-Code, um die besuchten Links z.B. weiß zu machen? Bzw. wie könnte ich das in den Theme-Einstellungen ändern?

    In my Enfold settings the color gray is nowhere to be seen. Yet visited links (text links) are displayed in gray. What is the CSS code to make the visited links white for example? Or how could I change this in the theme settings?

    Viele Grüße / Many greetings

    2. Section titles (APPLICANT INFORMATION, SPOUSE/PARTNER INFORMATION, BUSINESS/MANAGEMENT GOALS & OBJECTIVES, ETC) I woiuld like to be #AEFB4 – is there also a way to make this text larger?
    3. the submit button text i need black
    4. how do I remove the form title? The Title is RFC at the top
