Hi!
The LayerSlider isn’t actually something Kriesi wrote but is a plugin that is bundled with the theme. So it looks like that option was either removed or moved to a different location. So with this most recent theme release the newest version was included which had some very big changes for how LayerSlider works and functions.
As for the video loading sometimes and not others there unfortunately isn’t anything I can think of that we could do unless its reproducible consistently. It sounds like its getting timed out on occasion but that could be a server issues, a vimeo issue or a combination of lots of other things.

Do we have a solution for this?
Woocommerce says once theme gets updated, this issue should be resolved. At least that is how I understood what I read.
Any ideas?

You can, but note that making third party plugins compatible with the theme is beyond the scope of support we can offer.
P.S. You can achieve pretty much what those plugins do with the Advanced Layout Builder that comes with Enfold.

Also there is a new version of Enfold (released today) that make some improvements on load time.

Topic: Font Issue upon 2.6 update
Hello,
First off, love you guys. second off, I just updated Enfold to 2.6 and noticed my font I set in the Enfold settings no longer shows up and I am unable to change it to any font other that the default.
Any thoughts? I originally used Salsa.

PWhen history, cookies and data are cleared on ipad or iphone the slide show does not work.
Upon touching logo top left it loads site again and slide show works, could you supply me with the fix please so slide show works when a new person loads site.castlemanplumbing.com.au

From what i see is working as expected, maybe there is some delay if you resize it too fast, please note that the plugins has to re-calculate the position each time.
Also, a new version of Enfold was released today, try updating it.

Hi. I updated to version 2.6 of Enfold today, was looking over some of the new features (great!), and discovered that the blog category links don’t work–they direct the user to a “search result not found” page. It works fine for an admin, account, however. I then switched to a couple of other themes, including Twenty Ten, and the links work perfectly in those. (I noticed some other odd behavior on the blogs, but it changed from browser to browser, so I have to narrow those issues down.) In the event you have to visit my website, I am following up this post with the necessary info in private. Thanks!

Another problem:
1. When loading on the last version of Firefox the slider doesn’t show elements.
2. The background looks blurry and distorted.This happens every time I quit safari and load the page. If I reload the page, then it appears normally. The distorted background happens on EVERY restart of the browser. See screenshot.

There is a problem with iPhone mobile Safari on iOS 7.1 as well as Android on Samsung Galaxy.
In portrait mode, the only element that loads is “MAKE LIFE BETTER”. All other elements do not load until the device is rotated to landscape mode.
Then intermittently, the elements appear properly, but not often.

The problem I’m seeing has to do with styling in Enfold options not applying, these styles were set there. Not in child theme!

I update the documentation site manually as well and combine file changes and any other notes there are to help as well. For major version updates like this 2.5-2.6 checking before updating is a good idea.

Hi,
I’m having a problem where if I create a new blog post (call it post1) I can see it on my blog if I’m logged in, but if I log out I can’t see it. For future flexibility we set it up running a child theme. If I switch the theme back to the parent Enfold theme the post appears for the public (but I loose all my site customisations). If I switch back to the child theme it remains viewable for both the public and me when logged in.
If I create another post (call it post2) and delete post1, if I’m logged in I can correctly see post2 and post1 is gone. If I log out and view my blog I see post1 and not post2, its like nothing has changed. If I switch my theme back to the parent Enfold theme I can now see post2 and post1 is gone.
So basically at the moment if I want to make a post viewable to the public I have to switch my themes back and forward between child & parent to get any of the updates visible. Any ideas? I’ve checked things like clear the browser cache and tried deactivating WP Super Cache but this does nothing. My child theme only consists of a basically customised style.css.

This might be related: If I try to edit a slider in the LayerSlider interface, it comes up with a blank page. This is true for the included Enfold Sliders as well.

This is true on Safari, Firefox, and Chrome, btw. (I will be removing that element, but let me know if you want me to add it back it to debug)

I’m also having a problem with Advanced Layer Slider under 2.6. My home page at eichlerclub.com breaks if the LayerSlider element is on the page. I can remove the element everything works. If I add it back in, even with the default slider, the only think that appears on the page is the header. The rest of the page only shows the background color. Even the WordPress toolbar at the top is blanked.

It is possible but it would need to be done for that specific element and the styling would be custom to that element. Other than that no, there isn’t a mechanism in place to use images for icons.
