    Hi Franz,

    I’m glad that Ismael could help you :)
    Thanks for using Enfold and have a great day!

    Best regards,
    Nikko

    Hey Jaro,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

    Are you using the default Recent Comments widget? Have you tried using the Enfold Combo Widget instead? This widget contains multiple tabs which display popular posts, recents posts, tags and recent comments. The theme doesn’t have a dedicated widget for comments but we can modify the combo widget so that it only displays latest comments.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

    The theme has its own Lightbox Modal Window option, which can be toggled in the Enfold > Theme Options panel. Disabling the default lightbox should fix the issue.

    Dear Support Team:

    I am including the Navigation Menu widget/element in one of my footer columns, but currently all the submenus are displaying for the entire menu in that footer column. How can I display submenu items on click in the footer in the same way as I’ve set it in the burger menu:

    Wordpress > Enfold Child > Theme Options > Main Menu > Burger/Mobile Menu tab > Menu Icon Submenu Items > where you choose the “Display submenu items on click” dropdown menu option

    In other words, I’d like to start out not displaying any submenus in the footer (just the main menu items), and be able to display a submenu when a user clicks on that submenu’s parent menu item, and toggling it display/hidden on click–exactly as occurs in the burger menu.

    Can you please help.

    Thanks,
    Gary

    Hi, the enfold theme seems to be creating lots of 404 pages. How can I delete them or redirect them? And why is it happening?

    Hi,

    You could upload the fresh copy in a new folder if you like, you could call it enfold_new for example. Once the upload is done, then you rename the old folder to enfold_old, and the new one to only enfold.

    Hi,
    I’ve enabled Enfold mailchimp widget where I want just to display email field for easy subscription.
    However this widget by default seems to show more fields without any option to eliminate them.
    I’ve checked documentation and also couldn’t find anything related to widget fields configuration.

    Can you please let me know how I can remove all the fields displayed in widget (Birthday, Last/First name) and leave only email field there?

    Thanks

    Hi Rikard,

    So why did they block your account in the first place?

    I wish I knew. I have explicitly asked Envato about this in an email and receive no reply. The message that my account was locked appeared immediately after I wanted to complete the payment process. It is incomprehensible to me. As I have already written, there is no reason for this in my opinion.
    I have already suspected that you have an exclusive contract with Envato. (Precisely because Enfold cannot be found in any other shop). I just thought you should know what my experience with Envato was. Have a good time.

    Best regards,
    Klaus

    Dear Team, on my site (1 example content page below) I use the breadcrumb. CSS see below. I would like to change 2 aspects
    a) The active page title shall not be shown top left “Kundenzentriertes Marketing” for the second time (as it is already visible top right )
    b) on the start/homepage the breadcrumb shall not be shown at all. In an older post https://kriesi.at/support/topic/how-do-i-remove-the-breadcrumb-on-the-home-page-of-enfold/#post-28895 i´ve found this CSS but it did not help

    .title_container .breadcrumb { display: none; }

    Thx a lot & best regards

    Hi Rikard,

    I have already asked Themeforest for an explanation of the reasons. Unfortunately, I do not receive an answer.
    I followed your advice and tried a new registration. But this also failed, probably because the name, address and credit card are the same (I had only used a different email address). I would have needed Enfold for my business, but now I see no chance for it.

    By the way, I am not the only one to whom something like this happens. If you search the internet, you can find other examples.

    Best regards,

    Based on article in https://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/how-to-show-recent-comments-in-wordpress-sidebar/#latestcommentsblock
    it should be possible to add widget “latest comments” to actually show latest comments.
    However when I add this on my Enfold site, it does not show the actual comment. It shows only who and under which article commented.

    Can we somehow fix this so this widget actually shows what is the actual comment?

    Thanks

    Many thanks for the quick response and solutions!

    For performance reasons, I don’t like another plugin just because of one place where the feed should be shown.

    The default Instagram widget has its limitation and might not work consistently:
    I think we should speak clearly: the built-in widget doesn’t work at all. I tested it with three accounts = always the same error. Just take it out of the widgets. => So I solved it with a simple linked picture.

    This statement is outdated:

    Enfold’s Instagram widget is the simplest way to display your feed. You can simply add Enfold Instagram Widget to any of your widget areas and insert your username, adjust couple of options such as column and item count and you are set!

    #1367669

    Hey AWZ,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

    Are you using the latest version of the Instagram widget with the Smash Balloon Social Photo Feed plugin integration? The default Instagram widget has its limitation and might not work consistently. If that is the case, you have to use the other widget, which depends on the instagram feed plugin.

    Please check the documentation below for more info.

    Hi,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

    We are not able to check the site because it is currently not accessible, may need to login first. For the meantime, you can try this css code to adjust the color of the post title in the AJAX search.

    .header_color .av_ajax_search_title {
        color: #ffffff;
    }

    You may need to toggle or temporarily disable the Enfold > Performance > File Compression settings after adding the css.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Thanks Ismael.
    Quick question. You mentioned these two options:
    1. Edit template directly
    2. Use template hooks

    Are both of these configurations lost on Enfold updates (needs to be re-added again) or are some of these two preserved?

    #1367659

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

    The Page Sidebar Navigation is automatically generated for pages with hierarchy or for child and parent pages. You cannot modify the items in this navigation but you can completely disable it in the Enfold > Sidebar Settings panel. If you need a custom menu, go to the Appearance > Widgets panel and insert the Navigation Menu widget.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hey Jaro,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

    This is possible but you have to modify the single.php or the includes > loop-index.php file, and insert the slider shortcode directly in the templates. You can also use template hooks. To extract the actual shortcode of a specific element, you have to set the builder to debug mode.

    // https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/intro-to-layout-builder/#debug-mode

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    #1367657

    Hey Tilman,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

    We modified the css code above to re-enable the fixed header on mobile view.

    /*Sticky header*/
    @media only screen and (max-width: 989px) {
      .html_stretched.responsive.html_header_top #top #main {
        margin-top: 90px !important;
      }

      .html_stretched.responsive #top #wrap_all #header {
        position: fixed !important;
      }
    }

    Please toggle or temporarily disable the Enfold > Performance > File Compression settings.

    Ismael

    Hey Lissasan,

    The latest version of Enfold is fully compatible with PHP 8. Could you post a link to where we can see the actual problem you are having please? You could update on a staging site first, if you have rolled back on your live site.

    #1367649

    Hi,

    I will be creating a template for this post style || I am reluctant to use shortcodes

    Yes, you can save the content of a post as template and reuse it for other posts later on. And just FYI, builder elements are actually shortcodes, and they can be edited manually when the builder is set to debug mode.

    // https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/intro-to-layout-builder/#debug-mode

    Thank you for your patience.

    On the website I’m developing, I’m trying to get text to wrap around an image in both my Footer – Column 1 widget as well as in the main body of a page. But it’s not working. Here’s what I’ve done:

    Using the WordPress interface, into the Footer – Column 1 section in Appearance > Widgets, I first tried putting an Image widget/element with my logo in it (assigned class “footer_logo1”), followed by a Text widget/element with some test text, which ultimately will contain our mission statement. In my Enfold Child’s theme, I then added to style.css:

    #footer .flex_column:nth-child(1) img.footer_logo1 {
        float: left;
        margin: 0 20px 20px 0;
        border: 3px dotted white;
    }

    RESULT: The dotted white border (for testing purposes) rendered, but the text did not wrap.

    I then added underneath an HTML Block widget/element with the following test code:

    <div class="mission_container">
       <img width="108" height="128" src="..." class="footer_logo2">
       <p id="footer_mission">Our mission at ...</p>
    </div>

    In my Enfold Child’s theme, I then added to style.css:

    #footer .flex_column:nth-child(1) img.footer_logo2 {
        float: left;
        margin: 0 20px 20px 0;
        border: 3px dotted orange;
    }

    RESULT: This time, both the dotted orange border (for testing purposes) and the text-wrapping rendered. Yippee!

    However, because I’m building this site for my brother’s business, I’d rather keep things at the Content Management System higher-user-interface level as much as possible for non-programmer’s like him or other staff to maintain more easily, and not bury so much inside HTML code.

    So, continuing my experiment, I thought I’d test wrapping text around an image in the main body of a page, taking it out of the strange world of the footer widgets, just to see if I can get that to work. I will eventually be needing that anyway once I get into putting content into this website’s pages. But I couldn’t get the text-wrapping to work with this either.

    What I did was: into a 1/1 layout element (container) (assigned class “imgTextContainer”), I placed a test Image element followed by a test Text element, and then I added to style.css:

    .imgTextContainer {
        padding-left: 200px;
        padding-right: 100px;
    }
    .imgTextContainer img {
        float: left;
        width: 500px;
        margin: 0 20px 20px 0;
        border: 2px solid pink;
    }

    RESULT: The dotted pink border (for testing purposes) rendered, but the text did not wrap. Sadness!

    Can you please help.

    Thanks,
    Gary

    Hi Nikko
    My apologies regarding Google Authenticator – I have turned it off just in case you are able to spare any time to have a look – I completely understand if you haven’t though.

    The isolation of JS will take a long time owing to the amount of individual JS files contained within WooCommerce and Enfold. Is there any quicker way to determine what may be the cause? Like a debugger or something? This is where I get a bit lost but am trying!

    Many thanks

    I tried to update PHP today, and had several issues with Enfold.
    1. Despite repeated manual requests to get the current version of Enfold through the dashboard, I kept getting the message that I had the most recent version and that it was 4.8.8. This is obviously not correct.
    2. I double-checked the license code, and found that the one the site was using did not have current support. I changed to a code that does have currently paid-up support, and rechecked for the Enfold update, several times. I still got the message that I had the most recent version at 4.8.8.
    3. I checked the main page of the site and discovered that it was showing what appeared to be a vertical tablet-sized layout.
    4. I tried deactivating plugins, and the layout would not change back to normal (stretched).
    5. I manually downloaded Enfold 5.1.2 and updated the theme. The site was still using the bad layout.
    6. I reset PHP back to 7.4, and the site came up in its normal layout.

    I checked the settings from the 7.4 PHP configuration, and everything appeared to be the same for PHP 8. I didn’t see any PHP errors. Is there some setting new to PHP 8 that wasn’t in PHP 7.4 that Enfold needs to have activated?

    #1367621

    Hi, again
    While I was waiting for your answer, I tried to investigate a bit more to find the solution to my “advanced fieds not displaying” problem.
    I found out that to display these advanced custom fields, I needed to insert more code in the single.php file. This is the code:
    <div class=”infos-service”>

    • Collectivités : <?php the_field(‘collectivites’); ?>
    • Adresse : <?php the_field(‘adresse’); ?>
    • Téléphone : <?php the_field(‘telephone’); ?>
    • Courriel : <?php the_field(‘courriel’); ?>
    • Services et prestations : <?php the_field(‘services-et-prestations’); ?>
    • Missions autres que documentaires : <?php the_field(missions-autres-que-documentaires’); ?>
    • Rattachement hiérarchique : <?php the_field(‘rattachement-hierarchique’); ?>
    • Nombre de personnes dans le service : <?php the_field(‘nombre-de-personnes-dans-le-service’); ?>
    • Logiciel documentaire utilisé : <?php the_field(‘logiciel-documentaire-utilise’); ?>

    </div>

    I now have 2 questions:
    – I’m supposed to insert these lines in the single.php file but there is no such file in the Enfold Child Theme larger file. Should I insert these code lines in the regular Enfold file?
    – if so, my documentation (https://kinsta.com/blog/advanced-custom-fields/#display) tells me I should paste below the entry-content section… which does not exist in the Enfold single.php file. I’m pasting the whole file below, could you tell me where I need to paste the new code lines? Thanks in advance!

    <?php
