Syntax for searching the Kriesi Support Forums

Dear Support Team:

What is the syntax for the search box when searching the Kriesi support forums?

For example:

(1a) Are any of the AND/OR/NOT operators allowed?
(1b) Does ‘footer columns’ and ‘footer AND columns’ yield identical results, i.e. all posts containing BOTH the words “footer” and “columns”?
(2) Does enclosing search terms in quotes search for that exact string: e.g. searching for ‘footer “4 columns”‘ will show all posts containing both the word “footer” and the exact phrase “4 columns”?
(3a) Can parentheses be used to nest the logic, e.g. ‘footer AND (mobile OR (phone AND “4 columns”)) AND (NOT tablet)’ to yield all posts that contain “footer” and either “mobile” or both “phone” & “4 columns”, but not posts with “tablet” in them?
(3b) If parentheses are not allowed but the operators (AND, OR & NOT) are, then what is the operator precedence (e.g. does the normal case apply where logical-AND is of higher precedence than logical-OR)?

(4) Is there a way to search only topic titles rather than the entire posts? >>> I AM ESPECIALLY LOOKING FOR THIS!!!

Is there anything else I’ve missed, or is there a page containing the entire syntax and rules for searching the support forums?

Hey Gary,

Thank you for the inquiry.

The search form is just using the default WordPress search functionality, which retrieves any entries containing the specified keyword/s, either in their title or content. Using any operators or filters will not work.
