Let me add this too – for I don’t know how influential this could be:

This website – http://www.hch-cursussen.nl – was first completely set up at a subdomain – nieuwesite.hch-cursussen.nl. Sunday/Monday I moved the old website, and put this one in its place, following codex.wp guidelines. So, in the WP settings I typed the new address, and after that, went on to copying/moving the WP files in FTP, into the new root (from subdomain to main domain). The old site being a Joomla site is still (asleep though) on that server, and its MySQL (4) database is still alive. The new site logically built up its own db (5) stuff when still in the other, temporary, location.

I live with the assumption this is all okay: this should simply work. Right? The WP codex-instructions made me believe it would. I’m now doubting whether the error could lie somewhere in this part of the story. If you, reader, are pointing to your forehead, please tell me how stupid I am.

Tried one more thing just now: deactivating Enfold, and reactivating it again gives me this output, in the WordPress admin area (!) :

The one that says ‘Salesforce1’ is the custom one that I want available as an option in the #meta_header section, as modified in header settings in the theme appearance section. The above code works, but I want to get that Salesforce1 OUT of enfold and into the child theme. Suggestions thus far haven’t gotten it and I’m not quite sure why not.

Two issues — For one, if it had worked, it’s only addressing half the issue. The icons are set in the function referenced in functions.php, and then made available for the admin dropdown in register-admin-options.php. The post linked only references functions.php.

For two — It also doesn’t work. ;) I tried adding a filter to the child theme’s functions.php and commenting out the entry in enfold’s parent functions.php and it disabled the icon completely.

I’m really sorry, but would you mind if I didn’t? I’ve had a rather unpleasant experience in the past… let’s just say my hosting company has blocked several countries since then :D But may I ask what you were planning to check in the admin? Perhaps I can get you that info myself. As mentioned before, I’m really willing to help you guys out as much as I can :) So if you need screenshots or something, I’d be happy to supply you with whatever info you might need.
