I set the slider on my enfold to 1700 x 470, the full screen version. At home on my large monitor it looks OK. But on my 15 inch macbook pro or my cell it crops the slider image so that important information is not on it. It looks bad as well.

I want to have a full screen slider on any device, but responsive to the size of device.

I included the link to my site.

    Peter.

    Hi Banfe!

Please edit your slider and make sure that you have turned “responsive mode” on in slider settings – http://i.imgur.com/5fTBkdw.png

I realize that the second one is not maximized to screen, but the display is a 25 inch display, not the 15 like my macpro. So it is just simulated what it looked like.

I have been waiting for many hours now to get a response on this issue with the slider cropping. I have done all you said and it hasn’t solved the problem.

Please respond and help me work this out.

    Hey!

Sorry for the late reply! Can you please firstly try updating Enfold to the latest version 2.9.1 via FTP – http://vimeo.com/67209750
and post a temporary admin login if that too does not help?

    Cheers!

    Hey!

Latest version on ThemeForest should be 2.9.1. Please try downloading a fresh copy and make sure to update via FTP and overwrite all files

    Cheers!

I installed a fresh copy from my downloads on theme forest and it is version 2.8.1!

    #295739

I will try one more time, just in case files were mixed up on my desktop.

    #295742

    Hey!

Please check the version in Style.css file. If it is not 2.9.1, please contact Envato support – http://support.envato.com/

    Best regards,

OK, now I am frustrated. I downloaded a fresh copy from themeforest, uploaded the new enfold folder to the FTP, made certain to overwrite, and it is still 2.8.1 on my wordpress.

Now I have done it with the HostGator staff once, twice by my self and still 2.8.1. Are you sure that the file on themeforest is 2.9.1?

    HELP HERE.

    #295758

    Hi!

It has to be. Other users had no issue downloading 2.9.1 and updating their themes. Have you checked Style.css file of freshly downloaded file and it shows 2.8.1? If so, please contact Envato support here – http://support.envato.com/

    Regards,
    Yigit

    #295759

    style css says 2.9.1

    #295784

OK, I figured it out. The Enfold folder had another enfold folder within it. Got it updated to 2.9.1

But….It is still cropping my slider images!

    You have the admin authority.

Can you help me figure it out?

I really need to do this soon as my clients are seeing only part of the slider images and it looks really unprofessional.

    Thank you.

    Hello:

I did what you said and updated to 2.9.1 but I still have the same problem. The slider images are set at 1700×470, but on my macbookpro and on mobile is is cropping the images and looks terrible. I have given you admin access to my wordpress, and you have screen shots of the problem.

Please help fix this as soon as you can. I have spent hours and hours on this.

I don’t know what you are looking at, but on my Iphone and on my website, the slider photos are still cropped off and look terrible. I really need to get this fixed right away. Below are two pictures of my monitor. I also took a picture of my Iphone and it looks the same.

    GETTING FRUSTRATED:

I have been having this problem now for 2 days and with no resolution. I really need the fixed NOW.

Please help. I use this for my commercial site and it looks terrible. The slider crops the images and takes off important parts of the image.

Please help me with this. I am getting frustrated.

    Hey!

Please understand that LayerSlider is *not* programmed, written or directly supported by us here at Kriesi.at. We are doing our best to try and assist in getting the settings correct for you but ultimately the individual is responsible for setting up any slideshows and getting them to look exactly like you want.

If you want a more frustration free experience I would suggest picking up a copy of Revolution slider as I’ve found it to be superior to Layerslider. At Enfold’s initial release Layerslider was more popular which is why Kriesi purchased a license to include it in the theme instead of Revolution.

Creating multiple topics complaining about not getting support how you want and when you want is not going to help anyone.

    Best regards,
    Devin
