After upgrading to the just released Enfold theme I noticed that on all mobile devices the phrase “Enfold theme by Kriesi” has returned next to the copyright of my company in the footer area. I did not have this issue prior to the upgrade. Where do I remove this? Note, this phrase does not appear when viewing the site from a desktop device, it is only from mobile devices.

    Thank you.

    Hi all,

For example, how do the change “Where the heart is” below “Home” link.

    Thanks

    Dear Support Team,

I guess after updating to the new woocommerce version there are several product categories, which do not show up the articles anymore. The widget shows the number of entries and the product table in the backend lists all belongin articles. But if one links to the product category page no articles show up. In addition there ar some categories which only show a small bnumber of articles but not all.

This is no general problem, it only occurs in some categories. The new enfold version, wordpress, woocommerce and woocommerce de are all installed.

I’m quite confused. Do you have any idea or similiar cases concerning this problem?

    Thank you very much
    Klaus

    In reply to: So Disappointed

    Hi Patrick!

We’re sorry to hear this. Enfold uses it’s own page builder and thus we also don’t support Visual Composer. However I hope you’ll find a theme which fits your requirements.

    Regards,
    Peter

    Hey Boris!

Yes I sent a workaround to Kriesi and it should already be included in Enfold 3.0.

    Best regards,

    In reply to: Special heading

If you open up the Special Heading element you’ll see an option to amend the font size of that specific heading. Alternatively if you access the Enfold theme settings, on the Advanced Styling tab you can select the heading type and globally influence the font-size, line-height, etc.

I can’t comment on the spacing between the heading and the sub-heading changing as I didn’t notice anything between versions.

    Hey!

I’ve just had look at your page. In my professional opinion, the images you are using are not ideally sized to display on slideshows. Display objects(apart from mobile phones) tend to favor landscape orientation. Therefore, images with smaller width than height tend not to be ideal for slideshows.

They don’t not maintain their aspect ratio and will be completely distorted when viewing on different devices. This is regardless of whether you are using enfold’s slideshows or any other.

For the purposes of your slideshow, my best advice would be to use (edited)images incremental of the following size 1049×631. Some clipping might occur but it will be minimal.

Try the following site to generate a few dummy images to try http://lorempixel.com/

the other concerning thread is closed so here a little adding.
if i put a hotspot-image in a container f.e. 1/1 than the hotspots are not positioned correct. The hotspot-image works for images that are bigger or equal to the surrounding container. Or in color sections where they are placed in the center.
if you would like to place a small image and have hotspots the thing only works if

    .flex_column .av-hotspot-container {
        display: inline-block;
    }

(see the container on bottom: http://www.guenterweber.com/entwurf/wp05/entwurf )
The hotspots are shifted – Hotspot 2 is on the right because of relative (percentage) positioning

but then the responsiveness of the image is lost.
i can solve this for one hotspot image per site by changing it to display:block beneath the image-size
but is it possible to get a better solution?

How can we afford this works

Hi, I’ve noticed that when using a special heading in Enfold 3.0 and selecting a specific font size for the subheading and title doesn’t work as the font stays the same no matter what size I choose.

Check here – http://polytowncoil.staging.wpengine.com/twinmotion/#forwho (hosted on WPengine) – that special heading subheading is set to 40px and it shows the same as it was at 28px. Something just doesn’t work the same as it did in the previous version.

    Thanks.

    In reply to: logo position

    Hi!

In enfold_child.css line 61, the image src is wrong. Please change to ‘http://www.weinkellerei-woeber.at/weinkellerei/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/logo_linie.jpg’

This will create an issue with the line when scrolling and viewing on different devices though. In my professional opinion, you would be better off adding an extra absolutely positioned div to the header with a top border(color of line), cutting through the logo and implementing javascript to move it while scrolling and using media queries for different screen sizes.

Unfortunately, the solution would take a considerable amount of time to implement and is not covered within the scope of our basic theme support.

You can try hiring a developer for more in-depth customisation. We recommend http://studio.envato.com/ or https://www.elto.com/

    Enfold Team:

I can only run an Enfold demo on WordPress v3.9.2 not WordPress v4.0. After updating to WordPress v4.0 and running the site in my localhost development sandbox I receive a “Connection was reset” page from Firefox or “The webpage is not available” from Chrome. The only plugins I have activated are bbPress and WooCommerce (suggested for running your demo content.

If I revert back to WordPress v3.9.2, build the database from scratch (5-minute install), select a demo import (I’ve used either the default demo or the small business- flat), and then start the enfold site it runs without a glitch. If I use my admin page to update to WordPress v4.0 and then run Enfold, though, I will receive a “Connection was reset” page from Firefox, again.

I have also taken a WordPress v4.0 environment, built the database from scratch (5-minute install), selected a demo import of Enfold, saved all changes from the Enfold admin area, and tried to access the Enfold site -unsuccessful, too.

What are your suggestions to remedy this?

    Thanks, TDR

    Hello to the team !

What a great 3.0 release: definitely worth the wait ! :D

I was especially pleased to see the new element “Fullwidth (sticky) submenu”. I have a weird issue though : I created a new menu, went to my “About” page, added the submenu element and selected my new menu in the element edit window. The menu appears fine and is working great… but it’s always another menu that shows up and not the one I selected. Actually, it’s either my main menu or my socket menu.

Unfortunately, I didn’t deploy 3.0 on my live site yet, so I can’t give you a url for checking. Could you see if you can reproduce this issue please ? Or maybe someone else has the same issue ?

    Thanks in advance !

    Fred
    Infos :
    – WP 4.0
    – Enfold 3.0
    – No extra plugin which are menu related

    Topic: Cant edit Enfold Pages

    Hi,

I’m working on two sites (www.websites4therapists.com and http://www.narrativecounselling.com) both hosted on the same host (DreamHost) and using Enfold. The Narrative Counselling one is working fine, but with the Websites4Therapists one I cant edit any pages. When I click on Edit Page, it just looks like it keeps on trying to load the editable part of the page, but never gets there. It cant be my internet as the other site can be edited as usual. Any thoughts?

    Thanks, Alastair

    Hi!

If your developers used a child theme (definitely recommended!) for all customization they did, than it wont be a problem to update.

You might also think about updating via FTP, because this way all existing files wont be replaced, just overwritten.

Please make sure to have a backup before updating.

If you have more questions we are happy to help.

    Best regards,
    Andy

    Hi Guys,

i’m with my ML Installation just 1 day before golive. Since 6 month I’m working with Enfold on this multisite installation.
Yesterday I updated on Version 3. Since then I only made some content update until today 19.00. Pause. Now since 21.00 I could not reach the main ML and the main site.

by the way: I don’t argue that the problem might be Enfold. I’m really quite shure that Enfold is not the problem. But please help me, that I could reach the main network dashboard and the main site…

Where I do NEED urgent help?
The main instance is not longer accessible, either the dashboard nor the mainsite.
    dashboard should be: http://paracelsus-spital.com/wp-admin/network/
Mainsite should be http://paracelsus-spital.com proteced by password (pls request)
You may also request my admin and password or the ftp account.
Strange: all supsite under this ML are accessible, either the dashboards or the site. Example: dashboard: http://paracelsus-spital.com/sonnenberg/wp-admin/
    and the according site: http://paracelsus-spital.com/sonnenberg/

Thanks in advance … Martin ( (Email address hidden if logged out) )

    For the Phone number question…
Add this into your css file (Enfold quick css or child theme)
    .phone-info {font-size: 18px !important;} /*use your own size*/
I think you take care of “line-height: –px;” command too

since one week back the ALB doesn’t load, not when creating new pages (no reaction when launching it) , nor when editing old (the wheel spins). I have changed the theme to another one, reloaded enfold, and applied it back, but to no avail. WP is the newest version, and the site is fairly small ( and still being built)

We are generally happy and impressed with Enfold — and also happy every time problems are fixed and the theme improves. So please take this question in that spirit.

We are about to launch a site that includes a high-quality webfont, loaded through a paid subscription with one of the largest and most capable webfont providers, fonts.com.

The site has a “flash of unstyled text” (FOUT) issue at times, and we implemented fonts.com’s solution — a tiny JavaScript that loads just before the custom font. The script makes sure the custom font loads before text in that font displays.

The results are not acceptable, and they have analyzed the site and provided this response, which suggests Enfold should handle scripts more efficiently.

Could you please comment on this. Thanks. (A private link to the pre-launch site is below.)

Looking at the page source, there is a lot of potential general optimization for the structure and order of the resources linked in the HEAD section. A general rule of thumb for a good ordering of resources is to ensure that all non-JavaScript resources in the HEAD section are included before all JavaScript resources.

Keeping with this rule, to make effective use of FOUT mitigation techniques, the Fonts.com script must be loaded as soon as possible by the browser so it can do its job. As such, it would be best to make sure that the first two scripts included in the HEAD section are the configuration script and publish code SCRIPT tag.

    Kind Regards,
    Customer Support, Fonts.com

1.I think i have tried everything trying to switch of showing Blog description bellow the name “September 28, 2014/0 Comments/in Blogas /by admin” in my blog layout, but its still active. Any suggestions?

2.Is there any possibility to show phone number above the menu in a bigger font size?

    Hi @paolos66!

You are using Enfold 2.4.2, please update the theme to the latest version (3.0).

    Cheers!
    Josue

    Hi Daniel!

I think the changes you want are possible. Nevertheless 100% sure we can only be when seeing the result. Maybe you could try to build on another server your website with enfold and when you are ready and satisfied than move everything to http://www.vierfältig.de. Make sure to make a backup of your existing files.

    Cheers!
    Andy

Thank you for posting this update Ismael.

Following the links in your post, I have some discomfort with the following:

    • One of the linked sources recommends updating to Yoast SEO version 1.6.1, in which this issue is NOT fixed.
    • The most recent information directly from Yoast in your links is more than a month old and suggests that at least at that time they were giving this issue low priority and had no ETA for a fix.

If you have more concrete and reassuring information, can you please provide it? I can personally verify that downgrading to Yoast SEO version 1.5.5 is straightforward and works as a temporary fix — but this is a deal-breaker level issue, I am concerned about the current and future stability of multiple sites developed in Enfold, and would like a stronger reassurance from you.

    Thanks.

I’m running a full SSL website on wpengine.com and per their advice the base URLs are http:// and the whole site is switched to https:// via a simple Regex pattern entered via their control panel. For background, this was running with no issues prior to changing to Enfold.

I’m experiencing broken padlock syndrome on the Portfolio overview page though. Individual portfolio pages are currently set up with 1 image each (entered via the Enfold ALB image element option). The standard WordPress Featured Image option was used to select the same image, but I note your tutorial suggests a minimum of 700x700px, so have now uploaded different images for the featured image option. When viewed, the individual portfolio pages are not showing broken padlocks. The images were loaded via the WordPress media library from within the full SSL site.

I’m using the ALB Portfolio Grid element on the /portfolio/ page. It’s set to use all portfolio categories, 4 columns, 16 portfolio items, no title or excerpt, auto grid image size, open entry on new page, display sort options, and show pagination. I haven’t found a combination of these settings that resolves the issue.

As soon as more than 1 portfolio item is displayed on the /portfolio/ page, the page shows as insecure. With two portfolio items published, deselecting the featured images on one of the individual pages restores the /portfolio/ page to showing as fully secure. Why No Padlock and other advice sites I’ve tried always point at one of the images 260x185px size as the problem. One portfolio item can be displayed without triggering the insecure message, as soon as two are displayed the problem returns.

I haven’t been able to find anything on your forums from others saying they have issues with the portfolio under SSL, so am wondering whether I’ve missed a setting, or perhaps this is somewhat specific to the wpengine hosting environment?

Hopefully you can point me in the right direction to resolve this, as Enfold is by far the nicest theme I’ve ever worked with!
