    Topic: Team Member Font Size

    in forum Enfold

    Hello Enfold Team,

    I am beating my head against the wall and hope you can help. Ever since I changed the <p> default font-size in “advanced styling” I have not been able to modify the font-size of “team member” descriptions. I have tried to change it via the element’s styling tab, using the custom CSS you all have posted in your documentation and tried adding my own custom CSS class:

    /* enfold documentation */
    .avia-team-member .team-member-description {
    font-size: 16px !important;
    }

    /* my custom CSS */
    .meet-the-team {
    font-size: 16px !important;
    }

    Your guidance is greatly appreciated.

    Does anyone know what the CSS is to style the woocommerce search bar (that searches for products only) to look the same as the default enfold search box which I have disabled as it is returning posts not products?

    I would like the woocommerce search to look identical with a little magnifying glass search icon rather than a button below saying “search”

    Thank you

    Hi,

    You can use CSS like this:

    ul {
      list styling goes here
    }

    ul li {
      list item styling goes here
    }

    You can set text sizes under Enfold->General Styling->Typography.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi There,

    I have discovered the Dynamic_Avia folder is full of thousands of files (4.8GB)… In fact it’s forced me to upgrade my hosting package which I didn’t want (or need) to do. Although I can see the issue I don’t know what to do about it. Can I stop Enfold from stuffing this folder? I’ve been reading the forum for hours and hours reading all the threads that relate to this… In fact I’ve followed the instructions in the link below and deleted all of the merged css- and js-files but it caused problems with my website so I had to restore everything. Is it okay to delete some of the contents of the Dynamic_Avia folder? (I have switched off File Merging And Compression in the performance tab of theme options)

    I am happy to pay for support if required

    Sincerely

    Philip

    Hi,
    Thanks for your patience, the Dev Team made some adjustments for the OSM element and updated the Special Characters plugin
    After installing the new Special Characters plugin, you can try updating the OSM Leaflet element at /enfold/config-leaflet-maps/class-avia-leaflet-maps.php
    from the link below, please ensure to do this via FTP and keep a version of the original for fallback, then clear your browser cache and any cache plugin, and check.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi Nikko,

    Thanks so much Nikko, that’s amazing support!

    Two more questions, not big deals but I wonder if its possible:

    1. The date of the post is placed at the bottom of the post, Can it be placed at the top of the post?

    2. The post image highlights when the mouse hovers over and is clickable to enlarge. Which is unnecessary, can that be turned off?

    Thanks again for the excellent support!

    PS – I just noticed this email from WordPress saying a plugin is causing a fatal error. It seems like it arrived around the same time as the code plugin was added. However when I go to the site, I do not see an issue? What do you think?

    Here is the email:

    Howdy!

    WordPress has a built-in feature that detects when a plugin or theme causes a fatal error on your site, and notifies you with this automated email.

    In this case, WordPress caught an error with one of your plugins, WPCode Lite.

    First, visit your website (https://lunabeylerian.com/) and check for any visible issues. Next, visit the page where the error was caught (https://lunabeylerian.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wpcode-snippet-manager&snippet_id=2519) and check for any visible issues.

    Please contact your host for assistance with investigating this issue further.

    If your site appears broken and you can’t access your dashboard normally, WordPress now has a special “recovery mode”. This lets you safely login to your dashboard and investigate further.

    https://lunabeylerian.com/wp-login.php?action=enter_recovery_mode&rm_token=HETmXA1jG0H9BzFPxH5SIM&rm_key=Pa1udPi9LDnORvkXhW41Vn

    To keep your site safe, this link will expire in 1 day. Don’t worry about that, though: a new link will be emailed to you if the error occurs again after it expires.

    When seeking help with this issue, you may be asked for some of the following information:
    WordPress version 6.4
    Active theme: Enfold (version 5.6.6)
    Current plugin: WPCode Lite (version 2.1.5)
    PHP version 7.4.33

    Error Details
    =============
    An error of type E_COMPILE_ERROR was caused in line 1 of the file /home/gregoryb/public_html/lunabeylerian.com/wp-content/plugins/insert-headers-and-footers/includes/class-wpcode-snippet-execute.php(287) : eval()’d code. Hello together,

    We are utilizing the tab section element on our website but the height option “auto adjust to content” does not seem to work properly.
    All tab sections still have the same height as the tab section with the most content (see private content section).
    We have also tried to completely redesign the section from scratch but with no luck at all.
    After some research we have found quite a few topics on this issue but mostly from older Enfold versions (between 2017-2019), so it seems that the issue had been fixed in some former release.
    We are running Enfold 5.6.8 on PHP 8.2.12.

    How can this be fixed?

    Best regards,
    Marc

    Hi,
    I have reviewed the settings in your plugin All in One SEO and the AIOSEO ▸ Search Appearance ▸ Remove Query Args option is what was removing the required pagination url:
    Enfold_Support_3879.jpeg
    I disabled this setting and tested when logged out and the pagination is now working correctly.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi,

    It looks like the issue is related to the OhMD Chat Widget you added to the Footer – Column 1 widget area in Appearance > Widgets. Temporarily removing it fixes the issue.

    Since this is Enfold’s widget area, switching the theme also disables this code. That’s probably why you cannot replicate the issue when you switch to another theme.

    To test that, you can switch to another theme, install the Code Snippets ( https://wordpress.org/plugins/code-snippets/ ) plugin and add the code I shared in the private content field as a new snippet.

    Hi Tim,

    Sorry for the late reply.

    Thank you for your suggestions. We appreciate your inspirations.

    I added it to our feature request repo (https://github.com/KriesiMedia/Enfold-Feature-Requests/issues/80), so I do not forget it.

    But I cannot give an ETA for it at the moment.

    In reply to: Social like news

    Hey,

    If you’d like to enable social share buttons on your bog posts, you can do so in the Enfold theme options > Blog Layout > Share Links At The Bottom Of Your Blog Pos ( https://i.imgur.com/gNMQqry.png ).

    Best regards,
    Yigit

    #1425118

    Hey,

    You can add Copyright text in the Enfold theme options > Footer > Copyright ( https://i.imgur.com/lrKMJvb.png ). You can use HTML in this field to add links ( https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTML/Element/a ).

    Then, you can go to Appearance > Menus, create a new menu, and check the Enfold Footer Menu option ( https://i.imgur.com/LXy3EsB.png ) to display a menu in the socket section of your footer.

    Best regards,

    }

    Hi Ismael,
    All they mentioned was what is in their reply in the link provided in my last post. I set-up an admin user on the staging copy of the website. The user/password are in the private content. Feel free to activate the Enfold child theme (Maritime Travel) to test the form/reCAPTCHA in the pop-up.

    In reply to: Sektion H1 Problem

    Hi,
    Thanks for your patience and the link to your site, your NexForms popup has a H1 title:
    Enfold_Support_3869.jpeg
    and your special heading element is a H1:
    Enfold_Support_3871.jpeg
    So you should review your NexForms popup plugin and remove the H1 popup title and change the special heading element to H2, since it is in the middle of your page, typically H1 should be at the top of your page.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi,

    So what is the solution? I should not use All in One SEO plugin? it doesnt make sense.This plugin is very popular. Enfold theme owner has to do something for this. I should not deactive my plugin. I need a different solution, or fix your theme for this plugin, please. I am sure many people using this plugin.

    Thanks

    Hey pikkuapuri,

    You can set the weight for the H1 tag under Enfold->Advanced Styling.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi,
    Yes, I mean where the sticky header below 767px is covering the top part of the main body, this seems to be due to some custom css removing the top padding:
    Enfold_Support_3867.jpeg
    Try changing the padding-top: 0 !important; to padding-top: 80px !important; or more to suit.
    Instead of using the !important;, try this css instead:

    @media only screen and (max-width: 767px){
    .responsive.html_header_top.html_header_sticky #top #wrap_all #main {
        padding-top: 80px;
        margin: 0;
    }
    }

    It was hard to examine because the Enfold Theme Options ▸ Performance ▸ JS & CSS file merging and compression is still enabled.
    Try disabling this while you are building your site.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Thanks Ismael,

    I have restored the archives to a date before the update, so I do keep waiting for the new patch for updating Enfold.

    Thank you very much.

    #1425100

    I’m back and, to be honest, feeling a bit frustrated with the Enfold theme for blogging. It’s turning out to be less flexible than I’d hoped, especially when it comes to content visuals. Despite trying with Kadence blocks and other plugins, I’m not getting the results I want within this theme. Right now, I’m facing an issue with text alignment in blog posts. I find myself manually aligning every piece of text and title, avoiding the use of blocks because I can’t get the alignment right. I did use a simple Table of Contents block, which aligns well on a desktop but not on mobile. I’m looking for a way to set text alignment consistently across all devices and would really appreciate it if a moderator could guide me on how to fix this quickly.

    #1425099

    Thank you, Ismael, for pointing me in the right direction. The correct file to modify was enfold/includes/loop-about-author.php.

    As for the second string, while there wasn’t an author.php file in the Enfold folder, I managed to locate the necessary code to change through the Theme File Editor under the Appearance section in WordPress. I made the edits directly in the Enfold parent theme.

    For anyone else looking to make similar edits, you can navigate to Appearance > Theme File Editor and access the relevant strings within the Enfold parent theme to make your changes.

    #1425095

    Hi Ismael,

    Thankyou just what i’m looking for. Can’ t get the “Active submenu highlight” to work though. Does the JS function script go in “functions.php” or “functions-enfold.php”?

    Best Frederik
