    Hi shannonjhester,

    Thanks for giving us the login link as well as admin access.
    It seems you are using an outdated version of Enfold (3.5.4) which is incompatible with the latest version of WordPress.
    Please update it to the latest version, you can follow the steps below:

    Make a backup:
    – Site Backup: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/backup-wordpress-site/
    – Theme Settings Backup: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/backup-theme-settings/

    Update Enfold Theme
    Option 1: Use Envato Market to update your site
    – link: https://envato.com/market-plugin/

    Option 2: Update manually
    1. Login to ThemeForest and download the Enfold theme, right-click over the downloaded zip file and extract/unzip it.
    2. It should generate a new folder, open it and look for the enfold folder
    3. Right-click the enfold folder then zip it, here’s a tutorial on how to create a zip file in windows: https://www.howtogeek.com/668409/how-to-zip-and-unzip-files-on-windows-10/ (this should create enfold.zip
    4. Log in to WordPress as and Admin.
    5. Install and activate a maintenance plugin and put your site in Maintenance mode.
    6. Go to Appearance > Themes, switch to a default WordPress theme like TwentyTwenty then delete Enfold.
    7. Click on the ADD NEW button.
    8. Click on the UPLOAD THEME button.
    9. Click BROWSE and choose enfold.zip file
    10. Click the INSTALL NOW button and switch to Enfold or your child theme.
    11. Remove the maintenance mode then deactivate and remove the maintenance plugin.

    Register the theme by following the instructions in https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/
    Once this is done, the next time you update, you’ll only need to go to Enfold > Theme Updates and click on the Update button.

    Hi Team Kriesi, after updating to wp 5.7.1 and enfold to 4.8.2 some issues show up.

    1. fulliwdth slider, even normal content boxes with responsive adjustemet – (show on screens under 999px or only show on screens below) dont work anymore. fullwidth slider without reponsive adjustement works.
    2. Theme options – now 2 buttons in the header, 1 for usual, 1 extra only for OpenStreetMaps
    3. hmmh, looks like responsive adjustement doestnt work on any content – also not on beitrag-slider
    Almost tried to enable – disable css and js compression – no success

    Any ideas how to fix this problem?

    and other elements the blog post is not using?

    Hi guys,

    This site only uses Classic editor. I am using Load only Used Elements (recommended) as usual but I can see when I disable compression that many elements not used are being loaded. Including the block editor when I test the Mobile version of the page with PageSpeedInsights.

    My desktop Core Web Vitals are a dream come true. The mobile ones with no sidebars, got worse.

    What version of WordPress are you using?
    Can you try to turn on WordPress debug to see what the error is? here’s a helpful link: https://codex.wordpress.org/WP_DEBUG

    Thanks for contacting us!

    1. Grayscale is done by CSS classes ‘avia-grayscale-xxx’ only and it is not possible to add other colors using pure CSS.

    2. You would need to enter an address and then click the button. If it is not working, please make sure that the address is valid.

    3. Yes and when you choose that option, assets are loaded from the theme and not from external server.

    4. Out of the box, no but you can find get_maps_html_from_alb_shortode() function in enfold\config-leaflet-maps\class-avia-leaflet-maps.php if you would like to extend the implementation.

    5. No, we have not. As far as I know there are no cookies used. If you are using bundled files, the only request is to OSM server is for map and in Enfold > Theme Extentions > OpenStreetMaps options you can find links to privacy pages of OSM.

    Hello,
    I’m experiencing a problem with layout builder.
    I tried to update to the last versione of wordpress and last of enfold (4.8.2) but still have the same problem.

    When I open a page and I try to modify something (for example to change an existing image) all work correctly:
    I click over image space, the pop-up windows opens, I select change image, I select the new one, but when I click on “SAVE” to close pop-up nothing happens!!
    I have to click over the X button (close), and the change seems to be done, but when I click on Update and I go to the page nothing has changed!
    In some cases It changes (or delete) some parts of the page!

    I tried to update all plugin, to remove all unused, update to the last versione of PHP.
    What can I do?

    I cleaned all the cache: server, wordpress and browser, but still the problem is alive.
    I need to use the Elements (tabs, tex block, etc), Any suggestions would be great!

    Now, when I click the Edit article button in the black menu bar, the same blog article (Coronavirus!) opens for editing, no matter on what page I am. I run Enfold 4.8.2.

    You can register to our support forum here – https://kriesi.at/support/register/ and start new thread under Enfold sub forum https://kriesi.at/support/forum/enfold#new-post and share the links of the pages you would like to duplicate and we can tell you the elements.

    For homepage:
    1- Fullwidth Easy slider element with background image
    2- Text Block element, separator and video element inside 2/3 column element on the left. Two text block elements inside 1/3 column element on the right. You can use Image element and link it YouTube video as well
    3- Separator element and below that Special Heading element
    4- Image element inside 1/3 column element, Special Heading element with subheading and button element inside 3/2 column element
    5- Special heading element
    6- Image element inside 1/3 column element, Special heading with subheading and Button Row element inside 1/3 column element and another Image element element inside 1/3 column element.

    Once you start creating pages, I am sure you will be able to identify elements easier :)

    WAIT!!! Not so fast :) :)

    It looks ok on a desktop but on mobile’s it’s throwing an error at the top of the page on the front-end.
    Even when I turn off all plugins, it still throws these errors (looks like it’s the LayerSlider)…

    I cleaned all the cache: server, wordpress and browser, but still the problem is alive.

    thx for providing me with these clear steps. So, I’ve tried this and it works. I also found out why I didn’t succeed earlier. I have several questions/remarks:

    1. It seems that Enfold doesn’t allow a column to load/link an/to iframe url. The iframe command works on buttons, but not when you add the code to a column link url. It simply loads the page in the browser, rather than putting it in an iframe. Can we fix this?

    2. somehow it takes long for the iframe to load. Why is this the case? on other sites this goes pretty instant.

    3. in the example provided in the private content you’ll see that when you click on a team member you can’t scroll on the page anymore. When I use the Enfold Iframe you can still scroll on the page that is below. How do I change this?

    4. when I change the size of the pop-up it isn’t centered. How do I center the pop-up?

    5. I see arrows left and right in the pop-up, why is this the case?

    Make a backup:

    You can update WordPress via Dashboard (the order of updating Enfold and WordPress does not matter)

    Update Enfold Theme
    Option 1: Use Envato Market to update your site
    – link: https://envato.com/market-plugin/

    Option 2: Update manually
    1. Login to ThemeForest and download the Enfold theme, right-click over the downloaded zip file and extract/unzip it.
    2. It should generate a new folder, open it and look for the enfold folder
    3. Right-click the enfold folder then zip it, here’s a tutorial on how to create a zip file in windows: https://www.howtogeek.com/668409/how-to-zip-and-unzip-files-on-windows-10/ (this should create enfold.zip
    4. Log in to WordPress as and Admin.
    5. Install and activate a maintenance plugin and put your site in Maintenance mode.
    6. Go to Appearance > Themes, switch to a default WordPress theme like TwentyTwenty then delete Enfold.
    7. Click on the ADD NEW button.
    8. Click on the UPLOAD THEME button.
    9. Click BROWSE and choose enfold.zip file
    10. Click the INSTALL NOW button and switch to Enfold or your child theme.
    11. Remove the maintenance mode then deactivate and remove the maintenance plugin.

    Register the theme by following the instructions in https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/
    Once this is done, the next time you update, you’ll only need to go to Enfold > Theme Updates and click on the Update button.

    I have Enfold installed (child theme) and installed the MaxButton plugin, as well as the PopUpMaker plugin. I changed the theme settings to deactivate lightbox modal. Upon doing this, my slider no longer shows the photo or text, nor does my progress bar animation work, and other boxes/elements are messed up. I deactivated the 2 plugs in and reactivated the theme option for lightbox modal, but the issues still remain. Is there an easy way to get this back to the state it was in prior to installing those 2x plugins (now deactivated)?

    made a subfolder and put a couple pictures into it..

    tried to use a picture from the subfolder into a Gallery … but not working

    /Page/Edit/Gallery=> clicked on [Add/Edit] Gallery
    clicked [Add to gallery]
    selected subfolder from media screen
    selected one of 3 images
    clicked [Add to gallery]
    back to Edit gallery screen with newly added image
    clicked [insert gallery] button on lower right corner

    Back to main Galery screen WITHOUT the newly selected image
    [Save] button on bottom right

    What am I doing wrong?
    Want to use subfolders to organize sets of images and then display them on different galleries

    Hi,

    I’m still having trouble creating a custom header using Enfold. I’ve gone through all of your documentation, none fits this exact scenario and, even if it did, I dont know which portions of the CSS or Code Snippets I am supposed to use. Is there any way you could create a video or clarify how to know what code to use? I get the how to add a header widget area, but not how to make it look nice and responsive.

    I have created my Widget Area for the Header and I have placed it on the left. I found some code elsewhere on this forum and placed htis CSS to get the button where I want it in your header:

    However, it’s not responsive… on a tablet the button moves toward and overlaps the logo, on mobile it is completely behind the logo, whereas I think it should be stacked, the 3 header items should stack: logo, social icons, widget/button, something like that.

I LOVE Enfold and want to keep using it but I have to find a way to better understand how to customize the header – it has to be easy. Help!? and Thank you!!

    PS: One more question, is there a way for only the Menu to stick to the top, not the logo and social icons?

    1- Please go to the Enfold theme options from your WordPress dashboard and from the Theme Options panel look for the Logo section: Enfold Options > Logo – https://imgur.com/a/r6sXIJs
    If you choose to have a transparent header another logo for the transparent header can be added from Enfold > Header > Transparency options > Transparency Logo

    2- Please go to Enfold theme options > General Styling > Fonts to change heading and body fonts.

    3- Fullscreen slider supports up to 2 buttons out of the box. If you do not need to display a slider, you could add Color Section element to your page and set the height to 100% and add your image as background image. Then insert Button Row element inside your Color Section element to add more buttons :)

    4- Could you please post a screenshot and show the changes you would like to make? You can upload your screenshots on imgur.com and post them here.

    I am using the enfold photography portfolio on my website.

    There is no option for me to upload my logo in customization. How do I upload my logo onto the page?

    The theme doesn’t allow me to change the font. How can I change the text fonts, ie google fonts? do I need a plugin?

    On the home page, I need more than two buttons on the screen (view portfolio, get in touch, etc). Please, how do I add more buttons to the front page?

    Lastly, I want to use the portfolio for a UX Product design portfolio. Please, how do add words (paragraphs) in between images on a portfolio page describing the processes I took? while the user scrolls down the page

    Hi,

    1. Okay your code works to center the logo on a desktop, with the hamburger icon on the right. However, the header area is not then responsive and the logo gets cut off on a mobile phone. I have temporarily placed my left button widget in a Widget Area called “Header Widget Holding Area”, until I can make the header responsive.

    2. I have a transparent header, is there a way to make the background of the menu area black upon scroll instead of remaining transparent? It’s set to black in General Styling and typically I believe Enfold does that, not sure why it isn’t working on this site.

    3. The Menu overlay slide-out is not taking on the styling that I’ve given it in Enfold Child > Advanced Styling . I’ve added a red background to the menu itmes upon hover, but it doesn’t appear, which brings me to #5, the theme is outdated, could that be why?

    4. This is an older Enfold site that someone gave me, I didn’t build it, but I told them to buy Enfold and update the theme, which I’ve tried to do for them, manually (renamed named original version _old and kept it, and the new _new) but it breaks the site every time. I now have “Enfold_new” and I reverted back to their older version because I can’t make it work. Might you have any thoughts on this. The old version that works is 4.6.2 and that’s what they are running now.

    Hi Maarten,

    You can try this font: https://www.fontsquirrel.com/fonts/berkshire-swash
    Then click Webfont Kit and make sure to check WOFF, TTF, EOT and SVG then click DOWNLOAD @FONT-FACE KIT button.
    Extract the downloaded zip file and find the berkshireswash_regular_macroman folder (inside web fonts folder) and zip it.
    Go to Enfold > Import/Export > Custom Font Manager and upload berkshireswash_regular_macroman.zip
    Go to Enfold > General Styling > Fonts (tab) > Heading Font > set this to berkshireswash regular macroman (400) it should be located at the bottom of the dropdown.

    Hello —
    I saw your other post re Calendly (https://kriesi.at/support/topic/use-java-script-in-button/), but even with enqueuing the scripts properly, I’m facing a similar problem: the Calendly CSS is breaking that of Enfold.
    You can see how the transparent & glossy header, which typically turns white on scroll, stays transparent.
    Any suggestions for how to force Enfolds styles to trump any others?

    erstmal mache das mit dem Header Widget Area rückgängig!
    Also auch aus der funkions.php den entsprechenden Eintrag entfernen, und bei Widgets das Widget-Area löschen.

    Dann ist es wohl für dein Menü günstiger den Responsiven Fall bei 990px eintreten zu lassen:
    Enfold (Child) – Hauptmenü – “Menüelemente für Mobilgeräte” dort für mobil und tablets wählen.

    zunächst musst Du wissen, wie man einzelnen Menupunkten eine benutzerdefinierte Klasse gibt:
    im Dashboard – Design – Menüs
    gibt es ganz oben im Fenster diesen Tab : “Ansicht anpassen” ( fly out button)
    nachdem du das gedrückt hast, siehst du( alle bilder kannst du durch klicken vergrößern)

    mach den Haken bei CSS-Klassen.

    Jetzt kannst du neben jedem Menupunkt den Edit Button Klicken und du hast dann die Möglichkeit diesem eine Klasse zuzuordnen.
    also z.B: rechstbuendig besser ist für nachher aber hier auch schon zu unterscheiden also Klassen anfrage und telefon
    Bei “Angezeigter Name” ( engl: Label ) gibst du in einem “Individuellem Link” ein
