    Hi,

? i Have 93GB of Media on the server out of 130GB available disk space.

    Thank you for the update.

We can still reproduce the issue whenever we try to access any elements containing an image. It’s possible that the server times out when it tries to query the media library because of the number of entries in the database. The AJAX requests returns the following response.

The site is experiencing technical difficulties.

And this is the error from the log.

[14-Nov-2019 02:14:00 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 4096 bytes) in /home/wua4p6lmxmxf/public_html/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 1972

This means that the maximum memory allocated to PHP is only 268MB, not 4GB. This also confirms what we see in the Query Monitor plugin’s PHPinfo tab. Is the site on a shared hosting? If not, then you might be able to adjust the maximum memory limit directly from the php.ini file.

Screenshot of the PHP settings: https://imgur.com/a/cvvVoKU

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi There,

As soon as I upload the child theme of enfold or when trying to import demo content I am getting the following error

The system failed to run the wp-cli batch commands with the following issues: STDERR: PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 41943040 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 65536 bytes) in /wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-template-builder/php/shortcode-template.class.php

Any thought why this is happening.

    Thanks

    Hi guys,

one of my customers-backend has got a php-memory-problem. I’m not any longer
able to open the start-page in the avia-editor. Here you can see the error-page
The text means: The website has technical difficulties. Please check the
website administrator’s email box for further instructions.
But unfortunately no mail is in my mail-box with further infos. ;-(

So, I called my provider and he says that’s an php-memory-problem of the editor.
In that package the php-memory is 256 MB big. Here you can see the error-log
    from my provider:
    ———————————————————————————————
[Wed Jul 17 13:40:27 2019] [php7:error] [pid 25710] [client 87.230.119.18] [host kindergartenfotograf.info] PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 61440 bytes) in /is/htdocs/wp13302500_RC1SLFW264/www/fotografin/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 1972
    ———————————————————————————————
I build a one-pager for my customer and with every new step (new content) the start-
page become slowlier and slowlier (only in the backend!). And now it seems that the
border is arrived. ;-/ So, what can/must I do now?

Maybe you take a detail-look in the backend by yourself. The Login-Data you find below.
I’m really looking forward to your help! And sorry, it is a little bit urgent. ;-)

    Best regards
    Carsten

I am trying to fix a Feed RSS error I have in one of my sites and inspecting a bit I discovered enfold is crashing it for some reason.

PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 41943040 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 8192 bytes) in /themes/enfold/config-woocommerce/config-356.php on line 1867

PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 41943040 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 8192 bytes) in /themes/enfold/config-woocommerce/config-356.php on line 2152

I am not even using WooCommerce. How can I fix this?

    Thanks.

    Hi,

I installed WooCommerce and after activating I get now this error:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 78643200 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 65536 bytes) in /home/.sites/999/site7438299/web/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-list-table.php on line 382 Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 78643200 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 65536 bytes) in Unknown on line 0

What can I do? I deleted the Plugin and now my Website works great without an error. But I want to use WooCommerce. So what I have do, that WooCommerce works fine?

    Thank you.

I got a fresh license of enfold. After activating this theme and correcting the wellknown code errors, I could no more sign in to wp_admin because I got the message
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 332389 bytes) in <my domain>/wp-content/themes/enfold /css/dynamic-css.php on line 985.

In line 984 to 985 of dynamic-css.php I found the code
    //compress output
    $output = preg_replace(‘/\r|\n|\t/’, ”, $output);

It seems to cause a deadloop (don’t know why!). I solved the problem by deactivating the css code compression, so now it works:
    //compress output
    // $output = preg_replace(‘/\r|\n|\t/’, ”, $output);

    Hello Mike,

Last weekend we went live with the website from dev.molius.nl to https://molius.nl. We tried to change all (dev.) url’s to the new url’s with a plugin. We received the error :

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 45056 bytes) in /home/moliusnl/domains/molius.nl/public_html/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 1889

After that some strange things occurred and i am worried about it.

    1. Clicking on the (blog) URL https://molius.nl/relatietherapeut-blog/ you are landing on a blog message ( https://molius.nl/elkaar-weer-leren-horen-en-zien/ ). By the way, this is allways the first blog message in WP.
Also on https://molius.nl/algemene-voorwaarden/ and on https://molius.nl/relatietherapeut/ and on every blog message page the footer is dissordered (wrong font color, algnments, etc)

    2. Clicking on the homepage, the homepage appears but in the tabs there is an 404 report (see video 1) . When deactivating the 404 page in ENFOLD the whole home page is gone. (see video 2)

Please could you take a look in my back-end and see what’s wrong. Could you give me advice about this cache plugin that i use?

    Thank you in advance, Bert

    Hey Mike,

Thanks! After renaming the “revslider” folder I got another error when trying to access the wp-admin site:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 62914560 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 20480 bytes) in /homepages/2/d621752709/htdocs/clickandbuilds/NachtLichter/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/slideshow_layerslider/slideshow_layerslider.php on line 28

Accessing the website (without admin access) now works again – no more memory errors?! But I still cannot access /wp-admin site.

I installed the theme update via dashboard. WordPress version is up-to-date. I tried different PHP versions up to 7.2, but nothing helped.
What can I do to access the admin page again and solve the memory error??

    Thanks!

    Hi,

I recently moved a site from one server to another and once the domain propagated, the site was down (rcadc.org)

I found that the only way to bring the site back online was to deactivate Woocommerce. I then reactivated Woocommerce and received the following error –

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 104857600 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 49152 bytes) in /home/rcadc544/public_html/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/product_grid.php on line 178

I’m not sure if you’ll be able to help me with this, but I installed Enfold and then activated it. Now, I can no longer access http://www.veteranology.com/wp-admin. I get the error message:

If this isn’t something you can help me fix I’d appreciate any suggestions on where to look for information on logging back into my admin.

Hello, I bought a website with Enfold, creativecarpetrepair.com.

the enfold theme had been updated, which was causing issues with PHP memory limits. This was the error I was finding:

[06-Sep-2018 16:05:42 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 536870912 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 94 bytes) in /home/creative/public_html/wp-includes/meta.php on line 838
[06-Sep-2018 16:05:44 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 536870912 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 83 bytes) in /home/creative/public_html/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 2416
[06-Sep-2018 16:05:44 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 536870912 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 64 bytes) in /home/creative/public_html/wp-includes/meta.php on line 841

This shows that something in the site was using more memory for the php process that the server was configured to use. When the limit was reached, the process was terminated which caused the site to display a white page. To get the website back working, I was able to restore the files from the cpanel backups. This allowed the site to function again.

    #1004099

yes, that allowed me to update it in wp-admin but it still breaks my site after it is updated. Which means I was successfully updating it via ftp before as I am getting the same results. The site will load but wp-admin is 500 error. I have flushed cache, disabled all plug-ins, still not working. Debug gives me this error
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 536870912 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 20480 bytes) in /home/site/public_html/store/wp-includes/meta.php on line 846

php memory is currently set to 512. This only happens after update to 4.4.1. Do not get this error on 4.4. All plug-ins are disabled too.

    Hi Gunter
    Thank you for your reply.
Unfortunately this didn’t work for me. It took 2 hours work new php file and then stopped with the same error
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted
I have 80.000 items in woocommerce (postmeta in the database has 2,114,870 records)
Why do you need this function in 4.4.1 ???

EDIT: After executing the file 2. time I think it finished updating the things and I was able to access to the dashboard.
But it took like 2 hours 30 mins. It is insane :/

Bluehost determined that the theme has an issue and if I change the theme I can login fine.

    Hi Yigit,(Selamlar)
This is a live website and as I said before I had to revert to 4.3. I can not leave it in white blank page.
So I created local copy on my computer and trying to degub it.
    Memory is not the problem. I already increased to 1GB and tried again, but same problem;
[Thu Jul 05 12:06:34.587902 2018] [:error] [pid 17289] [client xxx:63723] PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 32 bytes) in /home/xxx.com/public_html/wp-includes/cache.php on line 27, referer: https://www.xxx.com/login/plugins.php

Do we need more than 1 GB memory to run Enfold 4.4 ? I am running 4.3 right now and memory usage is 70MB – 90MB

    Hey guys,

I have two problem, that maybe relate to each other.

    1. I create for all my clients password-protected galleries, so that they can choose there favorite images.
from our shoot. Today one of my clients contacted me and told me that the password isn’t working.
When they click to enter the gallery the page refreshes and they have to type in their password again.
I checked it at home and had “randomly” the same problem.
On my macbook with the latest safari version or on my iMac with firefox, as well as on my iPhone with google Chrome I had no problems to see the gallery, but on my Computer with firefox and on my Macbook with Google Chrome I had the same issues as my client.
Do you have any clue why on some devices and some browsers the issues appear? Or how to fix it?

    2. Since a month I (as well randomly) get error messages, while I’m editing my WordPress site.
For example when I try to reload the page or when I want to save my latest changes, as well as when I press any other buttons (f.e. switching to my dashboard or entering my admin password).
Sometimes it works flawlessly and sometimes the following messages appear and I have to refresh over and over again to come back to my workspace.

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 20480 bytes) in /www/htdocs/w0176f0e/coeval/wp-includes/pomo/translations.php on line 95

(These are just examples, I had other similar errors in other paths & lines as well.)

Do you know what they mean or how I can solve these?
(Sorry for being such a newbie) :)

    Thanks a lot
    Danny

I have this problem as well. Updated to 4.4 from 4.2.3 and the site wouldn’t load anymore, not even wp-admin.

    The error_log gives this error:
PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 20480 bytes) in ....../wp-includes/post.php on line 1939
    And this one:
‘PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 1179648 bytes) in …../wp-includes/cache.php on line 652’

Tried increasing the allowed memory but it didn’t make any difference.

Fortunately I had the previous version still, so reverting back to the older version of the theme brought the site back.

What could be wrong? The site in question has a lot of posts as well, over 50,000, just like the OP’s. Probably something to do with that?

Hi, I am having issues with one of my sites. There are errors on the backend whereas if I go to the plugin page (and others) for instance, I get this page…

    This page isn’t working
williamsresidentialdesign.ca is currently unable to handle this request.
    HTTP ERROR 500

I also tried updating WordPress and it failed. Further, when I go to edit a post, the content is missing in the post editor.

I checked with the server support (Cloudways) and they said they were seeing memory errors in the logs. See below:

My understanding is this is a theme issue. Can you please let me know if you can help? Login credentials included.

    Thank you
