I edited the color section on the test page i created and added an overlay to it and then changed the code to following one

Please make sure that you are using the latest version of the theme which is currently 4.0.5 – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/ and then refer to this post – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-register-a-google-maps-api-key/

If that too does not help, please create a temporary admin login and post it here privately :)

Please try adding this code to the Quick CSS section under Enfold > General Styling or to your child themes style.css file:

Please post us your login credentials (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend.

Login credentials include:

• The URL to the login screen.
• A valid username (with full administration capabilities).
• As well as a password for that username.
• permission to deactivate plugins if necessary.

We would be glad to help you with this customization, but at the moment there is no easy way to do this by using a small custom code snippet, so I am afraid its out of the scope of our support.

But please feel free to request such feature at our feature request system: https://kriesi.at/support/enfold-feature-requests/

This system allows us to keep track of user suggestions and lets you vote on the feature you would like to see the most. I am afraid though there is no guarantee that a feature will get implemented. If that’s something you really need you can always try to hire a developer for the task :)
