Any updates yet Yigit?
Thanks
EdPS – I also have a test domain (www.swareztest.com) with 2.6.1 installed. Same problem on iPad and iPhone. This doesn’t have the two elements on the homepage you talk about.
Thought that might help…- This reply was modified 10 years, 8 months ago by Swarez.

That doesn’t do anything :(It does not work on Android either.
I’ll attempt one more clean install via FTP and be back to you in 15 minutes.By the way – the plugin configs are unaltered from previous working versions
Thanks

EdMarch 12, 2014 at 10:28 am in reply to: New version problems (CSS, Menu resposiveness, Tooltip funtions) #236211Hey Devin
just run 2.6.1 and the animations have NOT returned. It worked once after the re-install but now they are static again :( Sam with the Icon ‘rings’ on the homepage (like the Demo site) – no animated ‘pulse’…
You may like to know that the Portfolio items featured on the homepage are NOT CLICKABLE links on an iPad or iPhone! What? Yes, they were but now they aren’t. You cannot select any of them to open the Ajax box animation anymore – they are just static images on the tablet and phone.
This is a bad situation for me; can you have a look please?
thanks

March 11, 2014 at 6:33 pm in reply to: New version problems (CSS, Menu resposiveness, Tooltip funtions) #235736Hey Devin, thanks for getting back to me.
Try any portfolio item: http://www.swarez.co.uk/modern-art-paintings-for-sale/timeslides/ for example
Thanks
EdMarch 11, 2014 at 10:55 am in reply to: New version problems (CSS, Menu resposiveness, Tooltip funtions) #235368Thanks Devin
I’ve adjusted and tested the mobile menu responsiveness and that works fine, thankyou.
Shame about the hover events on the iPad – will have to accept it for what it is I guess…
As for fonts it definitely looks different than before but I’m not going to jump up and down about it. However, the way each browser is handling H1 – H6 tags is not correct. Bold, ugly and heavy in IE and Safari but looking great in Chrome and FF.Any ideas why the animated events don’t work on any browser? Captions don’t scroll on the homepage slider, progress bars don’t animate either.
Thanks for your help.
Regards

I thought I’d made them all the same!Ignore me; I shall bother you no more!
Thanks Josue, appreciate your help :)
EdFebruary 16, 2014 at 9:50 pm in reply to: Latest Update: AJAX Portolio redraws itself on each scrol through #224608Hey Josue
Done! Looks better, thankyou. Must make sure I don’t put too much text on the right side as it will force the Read More button off the bottom of the container!
Any ideas why the first four portfolio items (paintings) have a smaller container than the rest? The slideshow criteria are identical across all portfolio items? Only happened on the last four entries (the newest)…
As always, thanks for your help man; really appreciate it…

EdFebruary 16, 2014 at 3:08 pm in reply to: Latest Update: AJAX Portolio redraws itself on each scrol through #224528Mmmmmm… interesting?
It’s definitely added to Quick CSS – just double checked… The preview pane is working at 572px from the code you supplied (by the look of things) but the issue of the top four items being in a shorter height container is confusing – when all the rest fill a larger spaced container.
Letme know if you want me to copy the Quick CSS into one of those style sheets above via FTP.
Thanks

February 15, 2014 at 6:20 pm in reply to: Latest Update: AJAX Portolio redraws itself on each scrol through #224383Hey Josue
This is interesting…I just noticed that the container for the top three portfolio items is narrower than all the others. On these the preview window is not zoomed in like all the rest of them are – it shows the entire image. All the other portfolio items show a larger preview container and a larger, zoomed in portion of the image… Any ideas why? Most slides I use are wither 1210px x 600px or 1210 x 650px.
Thanks Ed

Thanks for the code; unfortunately it doesn’t solve the issue – images still fall away and re-draw themselves before they spring back underneath the preview container.
BTW – have removed W3TC now. So nothing to mess things up from a caching plugin either… (bizarrely the site still scores the same on Google Page Speed!).
Many thanks
EdFebruary 15, 2014 at 2:27 am in reply to: Homepage in total disarray after update – please HELP! #224239OK, so I am stupid right?
I believe W3TC has imploded on itself.
I have the homepage back but zero caching.
Sorry to have wasted your time
Thanks
EdPS – I panicked!
SOCIAL SHARING WIDGET!
Please guys and girls, any of the WordPress plugins I try just break the theme and all my settings and hard work optimizing in W3TC go haywire when these plugins go live.
Just a few simple share buttons – positionable with a shortcode or drag box (widget area?) would be great.
January 13, 2014 at 5:46 pm in reply to: Portfolio permailnk change error on latest version **URGENT** #209069Thanks guys
That explains the issue perfectly well; such a shame I got crawled by Google whilst this was going on! Ouch…
Cheers

January 10, 2014 at 1:21 am in reply to: Portfolio permailnk change error on latest version **URGENT** #207731OK so I have a fix but I would still like to know what has gone on please guys?
I changed my Permalink settings (on the Permalinks page) in the Portfolio Entry Settings box and of course it works but I would like to know where that box went in the Theme options panel and why this has caused a problem on the update.
Would really appreciate it guys; trying my hardest to make everything as good as I can get and I’m almost there…
thanks
EdFYI – this is what I have just done, but never had to do this before…http://www.swarez.co.uk/Untitled-1.jpg

Thanks Devin – I knew you’d be able to set things straight with image containers!
Always appreciate your help :)Regards
EdHey guys
I’ve been using W3TC for a while on its own.
I have 92/100 on desktop and 71/100 for mobile.Whilst I understand that the nature of the theme and other issues will always have an impact on speed versus function (always a trade-off) much will also depend on your hosting.
However, if it helps you can minify almost everything except for “../avia.js” and “../shortcodes.js” as the theme will break with my current configuration. My JS and CSS minify options are 100% enabled.
If you head over to GTMetrix though there are some extra advice options including the serving of scaled images (which seem to be inaccurately reported through the theme) and also the specifying of image dimensions not being set. Maybe run a test and have a look for yourself. It would be interesting to get feedback from you Devin on this situation? Why image dimensions are not being set for the sliders?
Oh and don’t bother paying for W3TC tech support to set up your plugin – the biggest waste of four weeks and $250 ever!!! Sorry, but just trying to help you guys from my own experience.
Maybe you can shift some static file serving via Cloudflare or something if you want to split resource loads? That’s where I will head soon with new image content. Worth a try to speed things up.
Hope that helps.

December 13, 2013 at 9:28 am in reply to: Enfold portfolio not working after WordPress 3.8 update? #199816Hi Dude
That works! Thankyou so much. What a clever man!
** Yigit** – I enabled right click in case you want to check but it looks like it works now. Also it seems like WP3.8 has fixed the Progress bar animation too! Weird…
Thanks guys. Looking forward t the next update.

Must join the conversation…
WP 3.8 results in the Portfolio categories (in Ajax view) disappearing… Any ideas? Using 2.4.2 on a fresh install (from 3 days ago)…
Screenshot here: http://www.swarez.co.uk/images/Untitled-1.jpg
I used to have all my Portfolio Categories in here… HELP!!!!
Ed
Yigit…
“WE’RE NOT WORTHY! WE’RE NOT WORTHY!”
Thankyou so much :) It works!!!!
Best wishes
EdDone!
Page cache cleared; all yours buddy!

Hi Devin
That doesn’t do anything I’m afraid :( Still have the featured image at the top of the post (in standard format).
Here’s what it looks like for real: http://www.swarez.co.uk/art-blog/art-business/top-10-considerations-artists-website/
Thanks
EdActually I just fixed it!
I removed this from Quick CSS:
.post-entry .big-preview{ display: none !important; }
However, all blog posts now feature the Featured Image at the top of the post – how do I remove this so I only get it to feature in the Grid Layout on a page and not at the top pf every post.
Thanks a million!
EdAll up to date: WP 3.7.1; Enfold 2.4.2
Did a fresh install for 2.4.2 via FTP, just to be safe.
Thanks
