Hi,

Thanks for the update. If the problem goes away when the parent theme is active, then that means that the problem is likely coming from some of the code which you have added in the child theme. Please try to remove all code in functions.php first of all, then add the functions back one by one and check when the problem starts occurring again.

Hi David,

I see that you are running an old version of the theme, could you try to update to the latest version (5.2.1) to see if that helps please? The update to 5.0 has to be done manually from the version you are running, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541
You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/
If that doesn’t work then please try to delete the whole theme folder, then replace it with the new version. Make sure that you have backups of the site before starting updating.

Could you try to clear all caches and minification then leave it disabled, to see if that helps? Also please try activating the parent theme in order to check if the problem is coming from the child.

Sorry for the late reply. I doubt that this problem is a theme related problem, did you try checking while another theme is active? Also, did you check in a different RSS-reader to see if your current one might be causing the problem?

Thanks for that. First of all, could you try updating the theme to the latest version (5.2.1) to see if that helps please? https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update. Also please update the PHP version on your server to 8.x.

If that should not resolve the problem, then please try to deactivate all plugins except WooCommerce, and disable any custom code you might have added in your child theme.

Hi,

PHP 5.6 is not supported by the theme or WordPress, I would advice that you update to PHP 8.x instead.
