Your page size is just over 500kb which I would consider very good, if you need to remove some CSS then it’s up to you to decide what to remove. The CSS included in the theme is there for a good reason, it’s needed to render the theme the way it should look.

Thanks for that, I can see the child theme and the style.css in there, so it should be accessible. The server is responding with a 404 error though, so something is not correct with your setup. Maybe because you have your install in the private_html folder? I would try asking your hosting provider why that file can’t be found.
