If you use a plugin and do not change any of the theme files, then you should be safe on updates yes. But I would recommend that you backup your site and settings anyway just to be sure.

Please try to use the full URL in your CSS, for instance:

http://your.site/folder/font.ttf 

Also make sure that you actually import it in your CSS, you can read more about importing fonts here: https://www.w3schools.com/cssref/css3_pr_font-face_rule.asp

There is no difference really, it’s the same support and the same forum. The new rule is that you have to pay to actually access support after the initial 6 months. But I’m guessing that you have several purchases so that might not be an issue for you?

To what pixel size do you want to change the breakpoint? You can try this CSS out and change the 1024 value to that of your choice:

@media only screen and (max-width: 1024px) {
