Solved: I could solve the issue with the help of a great tutorial dealing with svg editing and exporting (sorry, it is in german):
In my case the export setting “interactive” was responsible for chrome not displaying svg logo at all. Deactivate this feature and it worked. Since the logo is the perfect example for a fixed size image, I can live with this workaround.
Maybe it is of some help.
Cheers, Sebastian.HI John,
thanks for your quick reply. I had already checked if there is a plugin conflict, but since the error occurs on other websites of mine (using different themes, plugins a.s.o), it seems that the issue is related to the way I create the SVG.
Here is my procedure: Get the Original *.ai oder *.eps files from the graphic, crop and copy it to my needs of size and proportion in Photoshop, export via Edit –> Export as –> SVG, set as Logo (icon, background or whatever) and it works great in Safari, FF and IE – but unfortunately not in Chrome. Maybe someone has the same experiences and can share some kind of workaround.
Best regards, Sebastian
Super easy, super elegant, super thank you, super support. Works great and looks even better than the svg images solution.
Can be closed.THX
SebastianHi Rikard,
thanks for coming back on my issue. in the header menu, you can see the three items “Kundenlogin”, “Kontakt” & “Telefon”. As illustrated in the attached image, I want to place an icon next to these three items, e.g. a fon icon to the Phone Number, mail symbol to Kontakt and a lock next to the log in.
On some of my sites I set this feature with images, but i would like to use icons this time instead of png or svg.
Thanks for your kind help.

*SOLVED*
when I write ÖFFNUNGSZEITEN, the weird output appears, but when i use “öffnungszeiten” instead, the Umlaut Ö renders properly. Strange enough, but the issue is solved and the thread can be closed.@Rikard, yes, issue is solved. Thanks for asking.
Hi TJ,
that did the trick, thank you!
Have a great day,
SebastianHi Jordan
thanks for your kind assistance. This really kills the unwanted whitespace, but the buttons become invisible either. Is there any suggestion to clear the whitespace while keeping the button with the vehicles?
your help is welcome ;-)
Best regards, Sebastian

April 6, 2017 at 4:12 pm in reply to: Display errors in Firefox and Chrome – styling is missing, menu links fail #773296Hi Mensmaximus,
thanks for your kind assistance. The strange path, comes from the WP install in a subfolder, here called /nr5 This should work, since it is not my first install in that way: install WP in subfolder, link via index.php to WP install and theme, in the give scenario it is:
/** Loads the WordPress Environment and Template */
require( dirname( __FILE__ ) . ‘/nr5/wp-blog-header.php’ );Am I that wrong? And why does it happen in Chrome and FF, but not in Safari?
Anyway, desperate enoguh, I followed your idea, but it did not solve the problem, so any help is highly appreciated.
Thanks, Sebastian.
April 6, 2017 at 7:56 am in reply to: Display errors in Firefox and Chrome – styling is missing, menu links fail #773004Hi Rikard
good to hear that you made the same strange experience, so maybe the issue is not caused by me ;-) I did not changed any theme file, since I like enfold right out of the box.
There are fairly few plugins, most of them I use on dozens website, so a conflict was something new.
Does the Support Team has any new idea how to solve the issue? This would be great, since due to the subject of his business, the customer is in his main sales period of the year and needs a reliabel website. Thanks for your help, I hope we will find a solution.
Best regards, Sebastian
April 4, 2017 at 8:41 am in reply to: Display errors in Firefox and Chrome – styling is missing, menu links fail #771577Hi Rikard,
thanks for your kind support, really appreciate this. The Layer Slider error message is gone now, obviously because of the update. But the main issue in FF & Chromes persists, since the styling does not load, even after re-installing WordPress and Enfold. In 101 of 100 cases ;-) issues like this occur due to plugin hazzle, but not this time as you found out too. And still, in safari everything looks as supposed to.
I really have no glue what is happening here, so your help is soooo welcome.
Cheers, Sebastian
April 3, 2017 at 3:26 pm in reply to: Display errors in Firefox and Chrome – styling is missing, menu links fail #771177Hi,
we are running on the latest version, which is 4.0.5 I suppose. But the error still occurs.

SebastianApril 2, 2017 at 8:26 am in reply to: Display errors in Firefox and Chrome – styling is missing, menu links fail #770539Hi Rikard,
puh, thanks for reaching out. I have just came across the update and followed immediately (like on some dozens of enfold websites I set up over the years), but the styling error remains, also the update hint, pointing to a update in WP admins section main menu, but there is none, every plugin, enfold and WP are on their latest version.
In the final update step, WP surprises me with a new error message, although still relatet to layer slider:
“Warning: fopen(/homepages/39/d458544917/htdocs/nr5/wp-content/plugins/homepages/39/d458544917/htdocs/nr5/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-layerslider/LayerSlider/layerslider.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /homepages/39/d458544917/htdocs/nr5/wp-includes/functions.php on line 4783Warning: fread() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given in /homepages/39/d458544917/htdocs/nr5/wp-includes/functions.php on line 4786
Warning: fclose() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given in /homepages/39/d458544917/htdocs/nr5/wp-includes/functions.php on line 4789”
So your kind assistance is still appreciated, thanks.
Have a nice Sunday, Cheers,

Is there any help in reach?
HAve a great weekend,
SebastianHi,
big Thanks to tjg and the producers of this tutorial.
Finally a solution that works great.Cheers, Sebastian.
…I second this idea, having the same. It would be great to choose menu style like transparent / glassy / full header.
July 6, 2016 at 6:02 pm in reply to: Error after update: permission denied for template builder #657650Thanks Yigit, but it seems, that 11 out 10 issues occur due to caching problems. Clearing the cache 20x, close and open Chrome did the trick.
Thanks, Yigit, that worked perfect.
Cheers, Sebastian
Hi Rikard,
thanks for your quick reply,
I could solve this issue via Safari developer console: It was due a minification error caused by WP Rocket, which i use a caching plugin. I excluded the respective CSS files manually and the problem was gone. The thread can be marked as resolved.
Have a great day, cheers,
SebastianHi Elliot,
sorry, I was not quite clear on the effect i want to achieve. I did not mean the bg graphic in the Logo section, but the 2nd level menu. hovering a main menu item reveals the submenu, which is 100% in width, lilac bg, and divided in 2/3 intro text, 1/3 of submenu links.
But thanks for pointing me to the bg image thing for the logo area, this brings me to another idea ;-)
Cheers, Sebastian.
Hi Ismael,
this was the perfect idea: when i insert a second link into a already linked catalogue cell, it breaks the styling. Without the sentence “Infos zum Unterricht”, everything is fine. Maybe someday there will be the chance to link the whole cell AND have additional links in the catalogues` text.
Cheers, Sebastian
hi Yigit,
thanks for coming back on my issue. before i work on the function.php, here is the one of the pages i do use the catalogue. First cell called BASS is linked to its respective page. As you can see, thumbnail flips to the top, the row with “Info zum Bassunterricht” moves down. I would like to have the styling of the unlinked version, apply the link and finally remove the “info…” part.
Please see http://www.musikzentrale.net/ueber-uns/musikschulen/gladenbach/ for reference.
Cheers, Sebastian.

unfortunately, the mega menu still does not work. I will provide admin access in a private message, so you can have a closer look. Please find attached an image showing the cut down MM.

January 23, 2015 at 7:25 pm in reply to: mega menu quit working & menu items are gone after update #384571UPDATE 23.01.2015:
As adviced in some posts to related the enfold 3.05 upate issues, i did a fresh install of the new version, deleting the previous one, deactivate all plugins. My purpose was to at least have a working mega menu that i can restore manually, since http://www.musikzentrale.net with all its content pages is only rudimentary without mega menu.
Unfortunately, this did not do the trick, issue persists and mega menu is only one displaying one of four columns.
Any idea on how to get a mega menu back? Thanks in advance.
Sebastian.
Hi Elliot,
thanks for coming back on my issue, sorry that i have missed your answer. Maybe i did some changes, but as i a wrote, i do not remember in which file. The post you have mentioned deals with which file? functions.php or functions_enfold.php? I cannot find the respective entry in either file.
Thanks for your assistance.
Best Regards,
Sebastian@digilocker: had Some funny experiences with the arrow not showing up, mostly adding a white space separator helps and all of a sudden the arrow appears where it is supposed to.

@Sigmund: You mean on musikzentrale.net? These are all Color Section, using the “Display arrow” function, which is on the very bottom of the settings popup.
greets, Sebastian.
Wow, I am so happy with Enfold`s new features, that I decided to gradually redesign our site. But it is not only that enfold has become even more feature rich, the Demos are a great inspiration, dealing with some struggles i recently had to present some of our content.
So here is the new music lessons starting page: http://www.musikzentrale.net/unterricht
As you can see, I really used the new grid row and fullwidth button a lot.
Great piece of work, Kriesi & Team, worth every minute waiting for EF 3.0. Simply had to share this ;-)
Best regards, Sebastian.
