and added this to your functions.php:

add_filter( 'avf_google_heading_font', 'avia_add_heading_font');
function avia_add_heading_font($fonts)

$fonts['Dosis'] = 'Dosis:400,700,400italic,700italic';
return $fonts;
}

add_filter( 'avf_google_content_font', 'avia_add_content_font');
function avia_add_content_font($fonts)
{

$fonts['Dosis'] = 'Dosis:400,700,400italic,700italic';
return $fonts;
}
/* end Register Additional Google Fonts for Theme Options*/

And choose Dosis from the General Styling font dropdown. I also disabled the google easy fonts plugin. So now it works :)
*Please note that you should use a child theme or your setting will be lost on your new upgrade.

I’m assuming that you manually added the background image code, if so replace “rgb(245, 245, 245);” with:

 no-repeat #868173;

I also assumed you wanted the same background color throughout the site “#868173”, the rgb color was very light.

Another way is to try this code in the General Styling > Quick CSS field:

.html_entry_id_3590  {
background: url(https://test12.tickboxmarketing.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/backgroundsmallerfile.jpg) no-repeat #868173 !important;
}

It looks like your alternate color is set to white. Try this code in the General Styling > Quick CSS field:

Chrome, & Edge. Chrome is the hardest to clean, I use a plugin called “Clear Cache” another way is to open a incognito window.

The custom.css file over rides everything else. Did you clear your browser cache? Did you cut & paste from the Quick CSS?
Are you using a child theme? If so you add your custom CSS in the Style.css file of your child theme.
What page was the hot spots on, I could not find them?

I have tested both logins, the new one works right & the old one works like the video, wrong.
I can’t explain this, unless there is some other issue going on like your security plugin created a fault point at upgrade?
I assume the new user was made after the upgrade. Perhaps you can make a backup, and migrate to the new user?
