  • Man do I suck. I forgot to have you close this ticket a long time ago!

Still love the theme and have 23 licenses and I am about to get #24.

in reply to: Dropdown Menu Background color #733413

This worked but we forgot to close the ticket. oops. Sorry

in reply to: Changing the Testimonials separator/divider in Grid View #733412

I think we forgot to close this ticket.

in reply to: Moving to Enfold Child Theme #733411

I think I exported the theme and imported into Child (been a while, I forget honestly). You can close this.

in reply to: semi transparent content elements (non-media) #733410

I resolved this by using a 50% transparent 10×10 png as a background to sections/colors.

This ticket should probably be closed.

I don’t have any cacheing software running and I have the issues listed above in my previous post. Cache may be part of the issue, and I certainly recommend disabling it at least for testing purposes.

Also note that Although Kriesi is saying it worked for them, the chances are that the update to Enfold 3.8.2 and our issues were lovers passing in cyber space. I just got the release for 3.8.2 and ThemeForrest takes typically a week to get out a new version. The guys at Kriesi may have been testing with a newer version that we all have installed.

I have updated and still have some of the issues but updating out of order may be the cause. I will update Enfold on one of my other sites and then update WP to 4.7. I have a feeling that is going to resolve most, if not all, of the issues I have.

in reply to: Word Press 4.7 #722848

I have only updated one of my (23) sites and I am having issues all over the place with that site.

Avia Editer is not showing/functioning but some pages do show on the front end, just not correctly due to missing sections, blocks, and unrecognized code. Some pages only display shortcode such as this one: http://boudoirphilly.com/cheryl/ both front and backend.

On the backend, pages and posts are missing the avia editor or it was disabled on update to 4.7.

In the footer I have the errors about avia editor not loading, but this is intermittent.

I disabled all plugins and the results were the same. Plugins installed are the following.
    Akismet – Active
    AWeber Web Forms – Active
    Better Analytics – Active
Jetpack by WordPress.com – Active (more below)
    TinyMCE Advanced – Active
    Under Construction – Deactivated
    Yoast SEO – Active

    Jetpack active settings:
    General: None
Engagement: Site Stats, Publicize, Enhanced Distribution.
    Security: Protect, Monitor.
    Appearance: None
    Writing: Spelling and Grammar.

in reply to: Advertising Widget Size #720987

No that is my last question… About the advertising widget. ;-) I am about to buy license #23 (or is it 24) so I probably will have more question on other stuff though!

    That worked! Perfectly.

To anyone reading this asking the same question, be aware this will make the second ad space “invisible’ to the browser. If you have a second image listed in the widget it will show, but other content will appear over it. Be sure to leave the second space empty.

in reply to: Advertising Widget Size #719686

Is there a way to limit the advertising area to one image? Currently there are two. I know that there is a snippet of code to hide the “Advertise Here” text but can the blank space be eliminated, thus allowing the one image to occupy the entire ad space?

Promise, that is my last question regarding the Advertising widget. ;-)

in reply to: Advertising Widget Size #719674

I used that code. See new login details in Private content.

in reply to: Advertising Widget Size #718798

Tried that and reset the content and sidebar width to 50/50 and no change. Did I miss something? (same sample page)

in reply to: Advertising Widget Size #717882

    Andy,

Currently I am unable to use the elements because of the size restrictions. Instead I have just added a color section with multiple images fixed accordingly. The site I am designing is currently under a vail of an “Under Construction” page. I have another page that I can show examples on which I will include in the private content area.

Keep in mind there is nothing broken about the ad widget, I am just looking to modify it to better fit my needs. I added this to Feature Requests as well.

in reply to: Diagonal Border not working on some sections #698129

OK I figured out that the diagonal border is only for the “footer” of the section and therefore does not overlap the top of the next section. So if you use and image as a background for the next section you need to use a PNG and have it fade to transparent at the top of the section to create the illusion of the diagonal line being a part of that section. This is what you guys did in the second section of the Creative Studio demo.

If you could add to the wish list to make the diagonal both top AND bottom of a single section, that would solve the problem for me and allow me to blend the sections together more easily.

So rather than using the diagonals, for continuity I will have to use horizontal transitions.

Go ahead and close this ticket.

    Thank you!

in reply to: Fixed background not working on Mobile (iOS 9.3.5) #691908

Determined. It is an iOS issue. Only iOS devices are affected.

You can look into it if you want. Apple has been informed and I have enough to report to the client. Go ahead and close this ticket.

    Thanks for trying!

in reply to: Fixed background not working on Mobile (iOS 9.3.5) #691865

OK I reactivated the theme and tested, same. I tried an emulator (http://www.responsimulator.com/?url=create.madomains.com). The emulator shows it working but not the actual device. On the iPad its at the bottom and you have to scroll to it. Now I ran an update on the iPhone a few hours ago and it shows it positioned correctly, similar to the emulator, but it still scrolls. This tells me its the devices not the code. If its the code then it would show the same before and after the update.

    Browsers used on this test:
    iPad – Chrome
    iPhone – Safari

in reply to: Fixed background not working on Mobile (iOS 9.3.5) #691822

Its got to be the iOS thing. Its all to possible that an emulator would miss it. I will try it on an emulator when I complete the changes mentioned in the previous private notes.

in reply to: Fixed background not working on Mobile (iOS 9.3.5) #691780

Maybe its an iOS issue? Are you using an Android or Apple device?

I have no problems ripping into Apple if we can determine its their issue. I get the same issue when I “request desktop site” on both Chrome and Safari. Could it be the way the iOS translates something?

in reply to: Fixed background not working on Mobile (iOS 9.3.5) #691658

I used the code in the Quick CSS, I tested, it failed, I deleted the code. I don’t keep none functioning code. Call me eccentric.

Retesting with you inserting the code. Still no difference. It is not fixed on iOS mobile devices using Firefox, Chrome, Safari. Chrome and Firefox both clear cache on restart but I cleared it anyway just to be sure. Same result.

in reply to: Fixed background not working on Mobile (iOS 9.3.5) #691059

Nope. Cleared cache in Chrome & Firefox, same result. (Mobile versions)

Nope. no changes. Its like its ignoring the fixed option. These settings as well no matter what i set the px to.

in reply to: Fixed background not working on Mobile (iOS 9.3.5) #688905

Here is a screenshot but it doesn’t show much. http://create.madomains.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/IMG_0560.png

On Desktop/Laptop the background of the body area is fixed, on mobile its not and it scrolls. I can’t speak to android devices because I don’t have any but this is the case on iOS vs. OS X and Windows in Safari, Firefox and Chrome. That tells me its not browser specific but it is mobile specific. I tried using the “request desktop” option in Safari but that made no differences.

The image in the lower corner appears correctly in relation to the size. The issue is that it is not static to the lower right corner as it should be when “Fixed” is selected.

Additional note: I updated to iOS 10.0.1 since the ticket was opened but it has made no difference.

in reply to: Moving to Enfold Child Theme #676990

Thanks. I will export/import the scheme and do the rest manually

in reply to: semi transparent content elements (non-media) #675798

    Nope.

Is there another Kiesi theme that may handle this type of layout? I prefer Enfold but I am open to suggestions.

in reply to: semi transparent content elements (non-media) #675678

Yeah I thank you but that is not what I need. I am thinking that This is the only time that Enfold will not work. If you look at http://sanchezariasphotography.com/about-us/ or any page on that site, You will see how the background fills the page. That is what I need, not just filling a particular section. I am aware that in your sample the image just isn’t big enough but at the same time it doesn’t include the header or footer as you have it laid out.

If you look at this thread https://kriesi.at/support/topic/top-and-sidebar-menu-semi-transparence-fields/ You will see that the OP was able to achieve this. Unfortunately that thread is closed and I can’t ask the OP how they did it.

In your example as soon as we add a sidebar the layout doesn’t work.

If this cannot be achieved with Enfold, is there another theme by Kriesi that can do it? I have plenty of clients where the theme license can be used so I’m not wasting anything.

in reply to: semi transparent content elements (non-media) #674763

    The image is here: http://create.madomains.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/myriad_background.gif

Also it is the only image in the Media Library that is full size AKA larger than 10 pixels.

in reply to: semi transparent content elements (non-media) #674749

    Andy,

Its really not that confusing. In fact I have found a way to make the body container have a transparency to it by adding a background image that is a semi transparent png. Allow me to narrow the questions down to this.

    1. Is there a way to set a single image as a none scrolling background for the entire site? (all content will scroll over it)
    2. Is there a way to set a background image to the sidebar?
    3. Is there a way to set the header to Transparent globally rather than on each page?

in reply to: semi transparent content elements (non-media) #674703

Andy, The links are both to images representing what I need to do. Additionally you have full access as an admin to that site so you can go into the media library and view the one there as well.

I have added text to the home page so you can compare the two, the image and the actual page to compare them.

    To review.
I need to set a single image as a background the the entire site, not single container areas. This image needs to be static and not scroll similar to this live page using a different theme: http://sanchezariasphotography.com

Additionally I need the container areas to be semi transparent as shown in these two images as well as this site:
    http://sanchezariasphotography.com
    http://litc.be/wp-content/uploads/wp_left_top_transparency_navigation.jpg
    http://create.madomains.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/Example.png

What is happening can be see here:
    http://create.madomains.com

Login credentials are in Private Content, same as before.

in reply to: semi transparent content elements (non-media) #674435

PS – As this is for two separate sites I would like the ability to change the color of the transparency, Say black or grey for a light colored site or white or light grey for a dark colored site.

in reply to: semi transparent content elements (non-media) #674434

    Andy,

If you insist but you could get the same explanation by looking at the examples listed above

Here is the example: Click here to view Example.png

    1. Shows the areas that should be semi transparent areas. (The header can be done page by page but I would like to just do it globally)
    2. The background should remain static. When using a color section the background is contained within the body area and I need this to be the entire background.

The link provided above in my first reply to your request shows what I am talking about as well. This was not done by me however but another Enfold client who had other issues. That link is http://litc.be/wp-content/uploads/wp_left_top_transparency_navigation.jpg

I hope this answers your questions because with out speaking verbally I don’t know how else to describe it.
