Figured it out. Under Style I had to toggle “Word Wrap” ON. Duh.
I have done exactly that (removed child and installed fresh version) and the problem persists.
I know the Child Theme has next to nothing in it.
For some reason, in GoDaddy Ultimate Managed WP hosting it crashes with Maintenance Mode enabled.
I just activated the parent Enfold and tried Maintenance Mode in that. I was so hung up on it being something with the Child that I never tried enabling Maintenance Mode in the parent as a test. Unfortunately, it still crashes.
This is with Enfold 5.2.1 installed.
One of the plugins that comes standard with the GoDaddy hosting is “Sucuri Security – Auditing, Malware Scanner and Hardening” perhaps something in that is conflicting? Nope, just disabled it and it still gives me this message:
Service Unavailable The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.
I disabled ALL plugins and the problem (that message above) persists.
The problem with these managed WordPress hosting platforms is the hosting company always adds some code/plugin that we as developers cannot access. I prefer a pure install of WP, but I work with what the client has chosen.
I am using the Child Theme downloaded from the Enfold site: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/child-theme/ no changes.
I just tried:
Maintenance Mode: Enabled – Redirect to selected page with it going to my Coming Soon page. And just to be sure it isn’t something with the Coming Soon page I tried “Sample Page” the one that comes with a fresh install of WP. Problem persists. So something is up with Maintenance Mode. I’m gonna try a plugin instead of this since we don’t want the build to be seen yet.
Sorry, my bad.
I went to Enfold > Performance:
CSS File Merging And Compression set to:

Deactivated the SiteGround Optimizer plugin. Cleared the SiteGround cache by logging into SiteGround and doing it through their Tools area. Also deleted the browser cache. The problem persists.
I appreciate the help. Consider this support request CLOSED.
Ah, this update made it the DEFAULT. Sites where this was previously NOT chosen are all now Fullscreen Mode. Didn’t know that was even a thing. Turning it off fixed it.
March 28, 2022 at 10:06 pm in reply to: Social Buttons Share Module NOT Working for LinkedIn #1346351It must have been something with LinkedIn. It does appear to be working now. We were getting just a white screen on the LinkedIn side.
No, since we cannot access the page in 4.8.8.1, we cannot recreate the logo slider. So we restored from a 4.8.8 backup and running that until the next update that hopefully fixes the issue.

Thank you so much for your help with this!

Even tried in an incognito window…figured I’d cover these bases. ;) Let me know your thoughts on next steps.
August 23, 2019 at 1:40 am in reply to: How to change a main navigation menu BUTTON to have a background image? #1130164Strange, but it doesn’t appear to be working for me. I even added !important after each parameter. Let me know what you suggest?
Thanks for sending that over. I made the update, but still no luck. I’ve included the login credentials below for your reference and troubleshooting. Can you help me figure out where I’ve gone wrong here please? Thanks in advance!
February 9, 2019 at 6:29 pm in reply to: Main Menu Fonts don't show up on Mobile and Tablet Devices #1064960Hi Rikard!
I’ve checked on my mobile incognito and am not seeing the Abel font. See attached screenshot and link to Google fonts Abel to see the difference between the two. It shows up as Abel in the main menu on desktop just fine, but mobile and tablet is where the issue is still. I’ve cleared cache, history, etc, hard refreshed and incognito-ed without success.Abel Link- https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Abel

I’m having the same issues on my tablet, but not on my mobile device (or desktop obviously). Screenshot links in private section. You can see the white lines between my grid rows when they are stacked. Credentials are included below as well.
Thanks in advance for the awesome support!

February 5, 2019 at 11:18 pm in reply to: Main Menu Fonts don't show up on Mobile and Tablet Devices #1063399Hey Rikard!
Thanks for following up. It’s still not showing up on my end on mobile or the tablet in the burger menu. Even after clearing out the cache. My client is still seeing it without the correct fonts on her devices as well. Desktop is fine, it’s just the smaller devices it doesn’t show still.
Thanks in advance!

Was there anything unique you had to do to get this to work?
Would you be able to tell me what steps you took to fix this? I see the need for this on several other sites and we use Enfold for all our client sites.June 19, 2018 at 8:47 pm in reply to: Enfold Theme – Blog Menu item does not appear to be pulling blog page correctly #974943Sorry about about. June 12, 2018 at 11:12 pm in reply to: Enfold Theme – Blog Menu item does not appear to be pulling blog page correctly #971944Hi Mike,
Now “I” get to apologize for MY delayed response :). I went ahead and added the code to the functions.php file. Please take a look to see if that helped. If not I’ll get the FTP info and send in a PM.
ThanksHello. Yes at the moment it DOES disappear. I initially wanted the tagline simply a couple point sizes smaller at about 1200px but since what I was seeing wasn’t correct ( it jumps up a size then shrinks back down before disappearing) in Chrome I just settled and made it all 18px. My main goal was to be able to have specific responsive sizes set in place for Chrome so I could better customize the look on various sites on various devices.
Are there separate @media query classes that should be used for viewing on Chrome vs Firefox? This will be useful as we really like the enfold theme and purchase it for all of our websites. Not certain if this “how to/cheat sheet” already exists and is available somewhere. Would love the ability to drill down to specify styles at different views points as needed for all of our sites.
Hello. I don’t think the image is set to private… I’m not certain was has happened since but the images are now showing up fine.
Thank you -
