That’s great thank you
It appears that one of the extensions in google chrome conflicts with the theme. I haven’t figured out which one yet but when you run the site in incognito mode the problem is resolved. I have spoken to someone from the google chrome forums and they have confirmed that one of the chrome extensions is causing the issue with the theme.
I have managed to track down the problem. The problem is occurring on pages that have videos on them. The posts that show these diagonal lines are not using the advanced layout editor and have shortcodes for the video like this: [av_video src='' format='16-9' width='16' height='9' custom_class='']
Once I delete this shortcode from any page the problem goes away. I am on Chrome on PC. Is there any way to troubleshoot this?
Hi, please see the screenshot in the original post. You will see that these aren’t actually lines that have been placed in the code, rather it seems as if part of the code is conflicting with google chrome and the browser isn’t rendering the website properly. It happens when ‘hardware acceleration’ is enabled on Chrome, but it only happens on my website.
Fixed. Thanks!
Thanks for your response Vinay. The diagonal lines don’t seem to be able to be clicked. Did you check my screenshot? It only happens for certain posts and they don’t appear until you scroll down. (Google Chrome)

Thanks, Andy. Unfortunately that code had no effect. Also, what is the reason for this happening? Surely this should work without me having to add to my quick css?
Hi Andy thanks for your response. I’ve deactivated my caching plugin and cleared my browser cache, but unfortunately on mobile view the headings still aren’t visible.
Feel free to have a look, details in private content. Permission granted.
Yep I can see straight away that’s done it! Perfect! Thank you very much
Yes, details in private content.
Sorry I don’t understand your response. Just to clarify the issue, please take a look at the image linked in private content. As you can see, on mobile view the testimonials have a larger padding than the text. I want the padding to be consistent. Thank you.
This has no effect unfortunately.
I’m afraid this doesn’t work. This removes the padding entirely. If I try and reintroduce the padding using this code and change 0px to 10px then the testimonials still have more padding than the rest of the text.
What I’d like is to keep the text padding as it is but make the testimonials have the same padding.

Please can you just help me with the formatting of my robot.txt. I’ve added the code to my robot.txt and it now looks like this:
User-agent: *
Disallow: /wp-admin/
Allow: /wp-admin/admin-ajax.phpUser-agent: *
Disallow: /search
Disallow: /*?s=Is this right? Thank you!

March 26, 2017 at 7:05 pm in reply to: GWT sent me a message saying my site has too many soft 404 errors! #767011Thanks for your reply. All my crawl erros are searches without any search terms. See private content for an example of a soft 404 error google has flagged. All of the crawl errors are urls that work but with ‘?s=’ at the end.

Yes I am. If you go to my draft post ‘Tales of an Actor’ and look at the first heading entitled: “Master of the House”–James, East London, you will see that in the editor I have written:
“Master of the House” – James, East London
And if you preview the post then it shows:
“Master of the House”–James, East London
Notice the spaces either side of the hyphen. It does this on most hyphens and also after colons, semi colons and some other punctuation.

March 20, 2017 at 10:11 am in reply to: Full width slider doesn't work when using render-blocking JS #763542That’s really helpful, thank you very much! So is my issue that my images aren’t compressed well enough or that they aren’t progressive? Looking at the results from the test you did, it seems that half of my images are progressive JPEGs. Would you be able to help me a little more? I’m not sure how half of my images are already progressive, but how do I convert the rest? I’m using WP smush but I don’t think that does it.

March 19, 2017 at 10:59 am in reply to: Full width slider doesn't work when using render-blocking JS #763164Hi Mike thanks for this! I’ve added your code to the end of my htaccess file but it’s made no difference, I’m still getting the same low score for optimising images. I have wp smush installed shouldn’t this take care of that anyway? What can I do? Thank you!
March 16, 2017 at 10:27 pm in reply to: GT Matrix is saying my enfold site desperately needs to 'minimize redirects' #762240It seems to come from my Simple Share Buttons Adder plugin which was on your reccommended plugins page. I’ve tried various plugins and they all produce the same results.
