October 4, 2019 at 4:19 pm in reply to: WP caught error in admin-ajax after upgrading to 4.6.2? #1145012Info provided, please see what you can find. Note that you may encounter slightly different errors on staging from live site, but all related to the same file and error type.
October 3, 2019 at 4:20 pm in reply to: WP caught error in admin-ajax after upgrading to 4.6.2? #1144523From our hosting provider:
“We checked the error logs and we do not see any mod_sec entries, which means that no mod_sec rules were triggered on the server. Mod_sec is enabled on the server, however, since there are no error logs generated from your account in the past 24 hours, mod_sec has not caused the reported error. You could communicate that with the theme developers.”
So it’s not mod_sec at all. Why do these errors appear every time there is an upgrade? Something seems buggy in your theme code I think. Please advise…
October 2, 2019 at 11:07 pm in reply to: WP caught error in admin-ajax after upgrading to 4.6.2? #1144294And after again upgrading, this time to 4.6.3.1, I get yet another error:

September 27, 2019 at 8:49 pm in reply to: WP caught error in admin-ajax after upgrading to 4.6.2? #1142914It does exist and has the same permissions as all other files, 644. And none of your links explain anything as it pertains to the errors I sent. Please advise further, it seems to be something wrong with the theme’s code.

Yes, my host’s PHP checker threw an error about this plugin and says it is not compatible…
So am I running two versions? And I don’t believe 6.8.1 is PHP 7.1 compliant.
So there’s TWO versions installed? I don’t recall ever installing LayerSlider as a stand-alone. Not sure why I would if it comes with Enfold. However, once I delete it, a notification bubble is constantly over the Plugins menu, even though no updates are there. Can you further clarify if there are two versions and why the update notification bubble would come up after deleting the 5.6.2 plug-in?
I don’t know where you are seeing LayerSlider version 6.8.1. I clearly show having 5.6.2. And I’m only seeing notification bubble on staging sites where I deleted LayerSlider. As I’ve said before. Again. Where/how can I get this updated properly without having to buy it? I shouldn’t have to do that if it came with Enfold…
Please let me know what you find…
I don’t understand. What good does that do me? In order to upgrade to PHP 7.1, LayerSlider needs to be updated or deleted. When I delete it, a sort of phantom update notification bubble appears, but nothing needs updating. Probably because this comes with your theme. I tried this on the staging sites. Can’t I just get an update of LayerSlider pushed through the WP Admin?
No standalone copy is installed…
What I meant was, I am running Enfold 4.5.7, and the version of LayerSlider I have with it is 5.6.2. I cannot seem to update LayerSlider, even if I recopy the Enfold 4.5.7 folder in FTP. LayerSlider will not update to 6.8.1. How do I get LayerSlider to update if what I’ve already tried does not work?
I am running 4.5.7 already, and that’s the version of LayerSlider I have. Same thing applies on two staging sites. Now what?
OK, I have tried to unblock. Please advise what you find or what else you need from me. Thanks…
I meant from 4.5.6 to 4.5.7. Yes, the update process once again does not work at all.
Even though I would think it should work if this is unchecked?
