Yours looks good… I wonder what the difference is? Is your file mp4 format? Very strange.
Which element are you using?
Hi guys,
Thanks for your help. I raced to my computer this morning (no coffee yet uh oh!!!) to check on this thread.– Video is not in a color section
– Video does play on staging site url which is 4.2.4 Enfold, so Mike I’m not sure why it’s not playing on yours? I am using Chrome if that helps.
– When I add code above (which I recognize as the code we attempted to use to fix the video bug in prior versions), the play bar goes away but the video no longer plays at all, with no option to play.4.2.4 is definitely the problem as the staging site is an exact copy of the production site… only difference is 4.2.4 on staging vs. 4.2.3 on production.
Thanks.,
RobHi Mike!
I’ve read your message six times now and I’m not sure what it means.
Do you see the difference between how the staging site displays the video and how the production site displays the exact same video?
The staging site displays a progress bar that stays until the video loads at the TOP of the screen. The production site displays that at the bottom of the screen. With very high speed connections I guess there is the possibility that it loads at the top of the screen and disappears? I am at a hotel traveling and my connection is not as fast as home. This is Full Screen Slider element with mp4 self-hosted video.
Hope this helps.
Thanks
RobYes, ALT TAGS do appear when you use the ALB editor to add photos (media elements) instead of the standard WordPress editor. You can audit your pages and check for this using one of the many SEO page checkers available online. Yoast and the ALB have a difficult relationship… often Yoast doesn’t “read” content in ALB correctly.

I also like that the right column of the support website now tells us when the next Enfold version is coming out, and provides an easy link to the revision history. This is a step in the right direction after what I consider a very bad 2017 for Enfold.
Thanks
Rob
Yes I agree. I try not to introduce too much custom code / patching in my child theme or css files that might break later as future updates are released. Hoping that this can be added to a future Enfold update. Having said that, the black background bars currently showing are OK with me. Even Amazon’s website handles the notch with a different color (grey bars).
Sorry to crash the thread… very informative, however.
Oh yes, now I see “the bars” which I had not really noticed before…. and now I can see nothing else…. :)
Here is a screen shot of this thread on my iPhone X. I do not see any bars in landscape or portrait mode:
You might hard reset your phone and of course make sure it’s updated to latest ios. Enfold sites also fill the screen on my X.
Thanks!

Same thing happens to me and my installation. Very strange. They used to change.
This is almost 1.5 years later and the logo isn’t updated?
I’ll leave that up to the mods… I’m sure they will tell you to check for plugin conflicts… maybe disable all plugins before the next update… but frankly until you get away from GD, you’re going to run into lots of issues. Check the GD forums and you’ll see others having the same issues. Good luck.
I guessed that because when I had Go Daddy this was happening to me constantly it seemed with updating themes and plugins. Stuck maintenance screens, HTTP errors you name it. I held my breath every time. Suggest you consider switching to a better hosting provider. Since I changed I have had zero issues and I never fear updates the way I did with GD.
Sorry to hear. Are you using Go Daddy as your web hosting provider?
Yes so far my tests are looking good too, but last time I was too fast in posting victory, ha ha, so I’m waiting. I’m also keeping a close eye on posts today to see if any bugs pop up in 4.2.3 before i push it to production. So far so good, thanks!!!

I hope tomorrow’s patch is a success and we can put this one behind us and focus on all the great new functionality you’re building for our theme…. side bars that auto-hide, more mobile features…. can’t wait.
Thanks,
RobFebruary 6, 2018 at 6:18 pm in reply to: New WordPress 4.9.3. today – any impact on Enfold Safari full screen video bug? #908708Hi Yigit!
Thanks for your update. That upcoming update is like Madonna’s next world tour…. WHEN?!! :)
I pushed new WP and 4.22 to staging site and video seems to be working…. my friend is going to check on her Mac today. So perhaps this one did fix the full screen video issue?
iPad pro issue is indeed still there.
Best,
RobIn Webmaster tools, go to “fetch as Google” and fetch your home page with rendering on… then when you submit, tick the option to submit that page and all linked pages. Within 24 hours you should see a re-scan appear in the index. It is not instantaneous.
February 6, 2018 at 7:19 am in reply to: New WordPress 4.9.3. today – any impact on Enfold Safari full screen video bug? #908377With respect, we have been hearing that since October 2017. It’s getting very, very old.
I’m curious if any users or anyone with a Mac has accessed a full page video on Safari with the new WordPress 4.9.3 to see if the FLV bug fix included in 4.9.3 somehow fixed the Enfold video bug….?
Thanks
Enfold theme options –> No Lightbox Modal Window
You can also Try the “noLightbox” css class….
Hope that helps.
Great! Any update on when we will see 4.2.3 push out?

RobFebruary 3, 2018 at 1:12 am in reply to: Enfold 4.2.1. coming? Or Should I update and fix issues with temporary fixes? #907144Go Daddy is terrible. I used to run into issues like this all the time even when updating plugins, much less a theme. Since I switched to WP Engine my life has been much easier… and none of the constant up-selling that Go Daddy does.
A mod will be better able to help you with your specific issue and you may want to create a new thread just for that. They will likely tell you to upload new theme files via FTP and overwrite all the old ones, assuming you did the update from your WordPress dashboard.
You may also want to check out this article… I had this problem when I had Go Daddy and this fix got my site back up:
But definitely my #1 recommendation, after you get your site back up, is to find a better hosting provider. There are many that are far superior to Go Daddy and just a little more $$$.
Good luck!
February 2, 2018 at 8:52 pm in reply to: Possible to make the default separator 50 px whitespace? #907039Basilis,
Thanks, I would like it to default to whitespace 50px. Can you tell me the code and the file to modify for that? Thanks,
RobFebruary 1, 2018 at 5:45 pm in reply to: Google Has Started Indexing Lightbox Photos…? Strange #906391Almost a year later and I finally figured this one out, so wanted to post in case others search and run into the same problem. (Also good for the mods to know).
I did not realize I have to “attach” my media file uploads to specific pages and posts. My process is to upload a bunch of pictures to the media area, then add them to posts or pages with ALB. This results in the images being “unattached” to a post, and Yoast SEO does not then know to re-direct Google crawler inquiries to the master post.
(It would be GREAT if Enfold would automatically attach media files to posts / pages when they are imported to those pages,…)
If you want to read more about this issue, go to this link:

Thanks… sounds like I should wait for 4.2.3. Let’s hope the devs can roll it out quickly. I will leave my staging credentials in place for a couple of days in case they want to test 4.2.3 on my staging site.
Regards
RobHi Yigit, I think our messages posted simultaneously.. ESP! So at this point what should I do? Stay on 4.1.2 until 4.2.3 rolls out? I’m confused — did you decide your hotfix isn’t sufficient so devs need to work on it further?
Thanks!
RobHi Yigit, where are we on this now? Should I wait for 4.2.3 for the Safari fix too or update to 4.2.2? And what is the hotfix I would add to my production site? (Is it just the css above, or were there other files modified).
I fear Enfold 9.0 will roll out and I’ll still be on 4.1.2…. :) :) :)
Thanks!
RobI have a X and am not having any issues… is there something I’m missing?
