Can I replace Enfold 4.5.6 and 4.5.7 with Enfold 4.5.5 and downgrade while this is being resolved?
When I check the CSS, there’s no @media width being called it remains at width: 47% instead of 100% on mobile.
I’m in dev mode with disabled css/java compression so no caching of files or compression is happening. I saw the problem with 4.5.6 and I upgraded to 4.5.7 and nothing was fixed.
I’m currently experiencing this issue. I have two 1/2 columns inside a color section and 3 1/3 columns inside a color section. They are not responding to mobile and instead of going to 100% stacked they stay as 2 and 3 columns.
February 16, 2019 at 8:38 pm in reply to: Updating to Enfold 4.5 and validating Personal Token #1067783Hi all,
I regret to inform that I tried the same operation using the themes section theme update and it failed. Then I tried the other update options, and they all failed.
I will give it another go, and report back.
Thanks,

After having issues updating, I went to the themes section of WP and updated there. It worked just fine! It’s not the way I typically update themes, but it worked. Try it.
Best,
LeydenSo if I create several templates with the Avia Builder and save them to the templates button, and then I disable all the elements, can you still use the “Templates” button? Can you still edit the pages created with the Avia Builder?
Thanks,

What’s happening? I updated manually using SFTP and now I’m running Enfold 4.5.2. I registered my token and all looks fine.
Now I see that Enfold 4.5.3 is available. I try to update the theme and I get an error that it couldn’t retrieve files. No matter how I try, the theme is not updating.
Now what?
Thanks,
LeydenHi all,
The WP Bakery Page Builder allows you to hide all options for all non-admin users and only lets them use the saved templates. This is AMAZING when you build specific templates for clients and don’t want them to destroy everything. You can only let them use the saved templates and if they need something, you can build it and save it to templates for them to use.
I feel like the Enfold Avia Builder is ready for this. You have all elements above the templates button. You can remove everything and just leave the templates button.
Thanks,
LeydenThank you Mike!
Now, all we need is to be able to lock all Avia Layout Builder elements and only leave the Templates button accessible to clients with an Editor or lower user status. So when you create layouts, your clients can’t add new stuff, but only use the templates you setup for them.
This feature is available in the WP Baker Page Builder. You can lock clients out of all the components and only access the saved templates. Perfect to control the design on the website.
Thanks,
LeydenHi all,
It there an option to just set the Enfold Avia Page Builder are the default? So when you create new pages you get the Avia Builder by default?
Thanks,
LeydenJanuary 31, 2019 at 3:25 am in reply to: Updating to Enfold 4.5 and validating Personal Token #1060681All, the update needs to be done using SFTP. Delete the old Enfold folder (delete it completely not replace it). Then copy the new Enfold file using SFTP without compression. One it completely copies, flush the cache on CDN, server, and browser.
Hi there,
The “Page Content” element is exactly that. You can create pages with the content you need to repeat, and bring in with the “Page Content” element.
Thanks,
LeydenHi all,
I chose all the database tables and conducted a “dry-run” to see how many instances per table. The dry-run showed 200 plus instances of the name throughout three database tables. Could not have been the wrong database since it showed 200 plus instances of that specific name. I initiated the actual search and replace and after it finished I ran another dry-run to see if anything showed up. Now there are zero occurrences of that name anywhere. I flushed the cache from Cloudflare, sever, and browser. When I check the website, the names are still present.
The words I’m trying to change are in the text and title elements of the Avia builder, and in a footer widget.
I am confused by this too.
Thanks,
LeydenThat’s the plugin I’m using. I used Better Search and Replace to make the changes. Now I’m having to go through and manually change the names.
I just conducted a dry run to scan the database for the old name, it does not appear anywhere—zero. But when I check the pages, the name is still there. So this tells me the content in the Avia built pages is not on the database. Where is this content stored?
Hi there,
No. I do not want to make a change in the options pages.
I just cloned a website. The content in all the pages is published using the Avia Page Builder. I want to change the business name all over the content to the new business name. I did a database SEARCH AND REPLACE to change the name anywhere it was used with the new one. After it was done, I check the content, and the name was not changed anywhere.
Does the Avia Page Builder store content in the database?
Thanks.
Hi there,
If anyone has an idea of how the Avia Theme Builder pages are stored and if they are a part of the database it would be appreciated. As I explained, I’m trying to find and replace one business name in the database for another.
Thanks!
January 7, 2019 at 10:41 pm in reply to: Updating to Enfold 4.5 and validating Personal Token #1051066@superbikecoach I’m currently still running WordPress 4.9.9. Not sure what you mean about getting rid of the “classic editor.”
January 7, 2019 at 3:01 pm in reply to: Updating to Enfold 4.5 and validating Personal Token #1050899Hi all,
I have had great success in updating all my client sites to the latest Enfold. I’m using the Enfold-Child theme on all my installs so this would apply to a child them scenario. These were step outlined in this forum before.
Follow these simple steps after you have a back-up:
1. Download the latest Enfold theme file from Theme Forest (only the install zip).
2. Unzip the file so you have an unzipped folder.
3. Log in to the server with SFTP.
4. Go to the themes directory and delete the Enfold folder make sure you don’t touch your Enfold-Child theme.
5. Once the Enfold folder is gone, copy the new Enfold theme folder to the themes directory.
6. When it’s finished, reload the website to ensure all is okay.
7. Log in to WordPress and go to the Enfold theme options > Theme Updates to paste your Envato token.
8. Right below your token, you should see a blue box notifying you of connection to your token.
9. Visit any caching services you have a flush out your cached files. You’re done. This has worked well for me on many websites. I hope it helps.
All the best,
LeydenDecember 24, 2018 at 11:19 pm in reply to: Updating to Enfold 4.5 and validating Personal Token #1049016I had replaced the folder earlier. Now I deleted the existing folder and then copied the new Enfold files. All is okay.
December 21, 2018 at 6:18 am in reply to: Updating to Enfold 4.5 and validating Personal Token #1048059I downloaded the latest file from Theme Forest.
I unzipped the file and uploaded the Enfold folder to the Themes folder replacing the old Enfold files.
I have Enfold-Child theme active.
After all the files copied, I refreshed the browser and now get a blank screen.
Google Chrome shows HTTP Error 500.
What now? Is it the Child theme?I also agree that the Kriesi team is always very responsive. I still don’t have this issue with the Avia Layout Builder not loading by default. I always have to switch it when creating new pages. This is an issue for clients who actually love the Avia Builder.
Also, it would be great to be able to lock the Avia Builder (possible) but keep the ability to load templates. I use saved templates for my clients and don’t want them to mess with other items on the builder. Right now, you can only lock everything.
Thanks!
Hi Ismael,
Thank you. I added this to the functions.php. Is this adding a filter to the Avia Builder? I can’t see where to implement it after adding to functions.php.
Thanks,
LeydenHi Ismael,
I have not specified a month using categories or tags. All WP posts already have a published date Enfold uses to order CPTs by date. I simply want to use that time stamp of the publish date to filter the posts from this month, next month or just per month. Similar to the way an events plugin might do it.
Thanks,
LeydenI have emptied my cache and used other browsers and it does not register. I don’t know what else to do.
Thanks
I have generated plenty of API keys in Google console and have added them. All I get is “Could not connect to Google Maps with this API Key.” Enfold is not recognizing the keys. I turned off all plugins and still not working. I added all the restrictions to the key and still not working. I used an unrestricted key and nothing.
One client website’s API key was generated and it worked. A map was created and used. Now when I visit the Google Services section on this same website, I get the “Could not connect to Google Maps with this API Key” warning. So it worked and now it doesn’t.
On another website, I generated it a few weeks ago and it’s currently working. Now I can’t generate it for anything!
I provided login info. Let me know what you find.
Same issue here. It works on other sites I build recently with Enfold, but not on the current site I’m working on. I have checked other API keys and compared to the one I have now. They are the same. I have another website NOT SSL in development with ENfold and it works fine. What’s going on?
Also disabled all plugins and nothing.
Hi Mike,
I was also thinking of just updating the original Enfold theme manually instead. Forgetting the Child theme.
Thanks for the info. -
