Hi voicepro,
At the moment no, not without coding the fixed menu on the other header option. I’m not sure if Kriesi would be willing to add something like that in since it would be hard to keep a fixed menu with all of the social icons and secondary menu looking clean and compact while fixed.
So for right now in order to get that you would need to code in support for it yourself or via a freelance developer.

August 12, 2013 at 2:06 pm in reply to: Best way to use element's shortcode_handler() without using avia builder #133636Hi danielebr,
That should allow you to use any of the shortcodes in page templates without issue.

Hi bevlogenverf,
I don’t really understand the question. The logo is in the default placement for the theme/header.

Hi runekjensen,
Unfortunately Jetpack does not work well with most premium themes and its best to just find alternative plugins for the functionality you want. More times than is proper I’ve found that the answer to fixing a problem, not only with Kriesi’s themes but with many others I’ve worked on doing freelance work, is to disable Jetpack.

Devin
Hopefully Peter’s suggestion worked for you :)
Let us know if you have any other questions or issues.

Hi Xavier,
A couple things you can try: First, go to your WordPress settings>Permalinks and change them to default. Second is to deactivate and disable any active plugins or dropins that you have installed on your site.
If you are still having issues you can try re-installing the theme files via FTP in case there was an issue with the file upload/installation. See this video for a quick walkthrough: https://vimeo.com/channels/aviathemes/67209750 (updating video instead of install since you already have a version on your server).

Devin
A couple of other things you can try then. The first is to disable all active plugins and dropins you have running. This includes Jetpack and any caching plugins you have installed.
Second is to view the source of your page live and then look for the support snippet that starts with :
<!--
Debugging Info for Theme support:Paste that here or just provide a link to your site so we can take a look.

August 12, 2013 at 12:01 pm in reply to: Promo box in IE8, Iconbox image rollovers, non responsive images, Embedded video #134226Hi designprime,
1 – We’ll need to see an example of what you mean live. The images should all have a max width set on them but that doesn’t work in IE8.
2 – Seeing an example live so we can see your version and inspect the code live should shed some light on whats happening. May need to do something specific to IE8 if the container is breaking.
3 – This was a bug fixed a version or two ago so if you have not updated recently, then doing so should fix this.
4 – You can set css specific to browser size using media queries. In the custom.css file we actually have a desktop specific and non-desktop specific media query already set up for you to add your own css to it. You can then define specific heights for elements only on mobile.
5 – We don’t have any topics that are over 2 days old with no replies by us right now and typically never have anything over 1 day old. Every single topic asked here gets answered unless the user solves it before we have a chance to answer. See: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/set-size-of-video-content

Edit: As Nick said above, you can definitely try regenerating the images as well in case they just need to have the thumbnails actually generated.
The image on that blog post is still not pulling from a re-sized thumbnail image.
There is still something not working incorrectly with the default installation it seems. I would suggest deactiving all active plugins and drop-ins and then re-downloading the theme from ThemeForest so you have a fresh copy with the newest updates. Then re-install the theme via ftp making sure there are no errors with the file upload and then testing things out again.
Hi dkowalewski,
Any reason why you are using such an old version of Safari? At nearly 2 years old there have been many updates for Safari since then and just being able to test on that specific version of Safari isn’t really possible since most users typically auto update Safari.

August 12, 2013 at 11:28 am in reply to: Critical Bug: bbpress shortcodes broke the whole layout #122780I’m not really sure what you mean. With the big shortcode functions that create entire pages they are best used in the regular visual editor only.
The smaller shortocodes which only output a product or the login form should work.
Styling is independent from using the shortcodes.
August 12, 2013 at 1:02 am in reply to: Critical Bug: bbpress shortcodes broke the whole layout #122778The bbPress shortcodes as well as those from things like WooCommerce reset the entire pages layout so no there isn’t support for adding them inside a text element within the advanced layout editor.
Its just a limitation of the flexibility the system offers.
No there isn’t. It depends on the width you’ve chosen in the General Settings as well since that changes the whole container size.
The size of image you choose is what gets loaded into the layout. This can be really helpful if you want to use a different crop to keep an overly tall image or group of images to fit a square layout or a just generally show as thumbnails
The layout then makes adjustments to fit the viewers devices (full size desktop down to mobile). So if you choose an image that is 300px wide and your choice of gallery is the large single image like in this screenshot http://webex.gr/1.jpg , you’ll get a pixelated result.
It doesn’t usually come up as most users are already starting with a larger image. Even more so to make sure things look reasonable on the new retina screens.
If you just want to add in a single image however and don’t want it to scale then you don’t need to use a gallery at all. Just use a text section and add the image into the visual editor.
Hi xrisxal2000,
First, its important to note that our support forums go by oldest post to newest so each time you self respond asking for help it actually pushes the topic to the end of our queue.
On your issue, the image container will not keep your image smaller than what the container actually is.
What this means is that if you put your gallery into a full width container then the images inside will stretch to fit it. Since you don’t have images that are large enough, you need to instead put your gallery item into a layout so that the gallery section is smaller.
Something like one-half/one-half might work so that your images only take up half the content area and the content on the left takes up more room.

August 11, 2013 at 7:21 pm in reply to: LayerSlider – Inconsistent Result from preview to final rendering #131944Hi rmatene,
There is no need to be aggressive with any of the support team here on the forums. Support for content from all of Envato’s network is voluntary by the author and Ismael was suggesting an alternative to “designprime” who expressed difficulty in using the LayerSlider plugin.
As I said above, I don’t know where the disconnect is happening on your end but using the settings above and a slide I’m not having any issues on preview vs live. LayerSlider is a plugin which is included in the theme but support for its actual functionality isn’t something we can really offer (we didn’t write it).
The best thing I can suggest would be to try re-making your slide(s) and test each step to see where the disconnect is happening on preview vs live.

Devin
August 11, 2013 at 7:11 pm in reply to: Background Image in color section not working on Safari #132892Hi simonac,
Just took a look at your site on my mac and had no issues with the color sections. I’ve mentioned this before but as far as I know there isn’t a way to debug older versions of Safari since Apple is always pushing new hardware+software. This is using Safari 6.05, newest version of Chrome as well and both on 10.8.4.

Devin
Hi joe88,
Right now no there will be no support for it at all. The reason its a plugin and also not advertised is because it really isn’t intended for wide distribution. Its a chance for the WordPress.org team to try things out without having to worry about mass theme support.
Until its actually integrated into core there will be no support for it.

Devin
Hi vijaypillai,
Can we take a look at your site live? For #1 yes its doable with a bit of css but it would best to target it at the exact header layout you are using.
For #2, that shouldn’t be happening so I suspect there is something else going on.

Devin
Hi BillBarenCoaching,
First try going to the Enfold General Settings and for the layout option choose one of the Responsive layouts. See if that fixes it.
If so, I’ll have to have Kriesi take a look at the fixed layout grid settings as it seems to be slightly off. In the short term you can use the smaller responsive layout.
In addition to the above, try disabling any active plugins and dropins you have installed just in case there is a conflict there.
Regards,
Devin
What version of the theme are you using? Have you recently updated and if so did you re-add in the change you made previously from the other post?
Hi elames,
Reading over the topic I’m not clear at all on what it is you are trying to do vs what is live. If you want a specific color for a section you can use the Color Section element within the Advanced Layout Editor and you can use layout elements to create groups of content within that custom color section.
If you can provide a mock up or screenshot illustrating what it is you are looking for perhaps we can assist further.
Regards,
Devin
Setting the first image in the “Add Preview Images” should not be needed either. Its the WordPress “Featured Image” function which the theme uses to represent the portfolio in the portfolio grid.
See the image on the right in this screenshot:
Hi macrunner,
From the theme options you can use the Header tab to choose the type of header you want. Some of the header options include a secondary menu.
See the demo examples here: http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/headers/

Devin
Hi dnf67,
Can you try actually disabling any active plugins and dropins you have active? There could be an actual conflict with a plugin and the theme which isn’t there when another is active.
Regards,
Devin
Hi American Patriot,
The WooCommerce pages ignore the theme layout options and uses their own layouts. The only way to modify the preconfigured files would be to either use hooks and filters or template files.
See: http://docs.woothemes.com/document/template-structure/
Regards,
Devin
Hi Donny,
The most recent version of the theme files allows you to set a unique id for each color section. Its just a field on a color section for ID and you can add your own and it will output as an ID.
Regards,
Devin
It has been requested but no news on it that I know of. Yes, add it to the request topic if you’d like to give it an additional bump.
Hi Pedro,
Yes of course. As Peter showed in his example you can add multiple sliders to a page without issue.

Devin
Hi Stuart Dutton,
Unfortunately this is a bug with WordPress core. Whenever you add a new widget area to WordPress it moves the widget areas but keeps the widgets inside of them in the same container area. So widgets will slide around.
So when you activate bbPress, it introduces new widget areas (sidebars) and things get moved around.
Regards,
Devin
Hi Per,
You can use the Template button on the upper right hand corner of the Advanced Layout Editor to save a layout. Then on your new page just click the Template button and select the template you created and it will populate that page with everything that was saved.

Devin
