  • I had the same issue earlier this week => it IS NOT an isolated incident. There has to be a bug in the translation of certain content by the editor. Your occurred with parentheses, mine was quote marks within a link for a YouTube video embed -something which is quite simple. I ended up having to use a plugin to create a video embed that would work within that page.

Stranger yet, exactly the same video embed link worked just fine on a sister site I just build two weeks before. So it must be relative to other content on the page as well.

This really should be looked at => IT IS A BUG

Stefan, if files were modified as a result of a hack, it is likely the database is loaded with hacked entries as well. You may want to have someone take a copy of your database offline and examine it for entries that could be problematic. The type of rerouting I have seen in the past make mods to your htaccess file as well so have your provider check that too. Just because you don’t have an issue now does not mean you won’t at some future point if you are not completely sure the issue was cleared up in its entirety.

If a compromise has happened, it was likely not from someone guessing your admin password. When Google crawls your site, it collects information contained in the WP database. This is likely where the issue is. In some cases you won’t even know if just looking at your web site. I know for fact that there are hundreds of China-based bots scanning sites all the time looking for weaknesses. When they find one, they will upload php code and execute it on the server, injecting code into the database to accomplish exactly what you see happen when you go to Google and search for your site. It usually happens with paid Google ad sites but does to others as well.

Long story short – as Rikard suggested, if you’re not a pro at WP and server side admin, check with a pro. I suggest Wordfence, but choose as you wish. There IS an underlying reason for this.

Jordan, I think the point is moot at this juncture. If you look at the two screenshots I provided, they are the result of having:
    1. The text “Testing” in the code block for the first.
    2. The code snippet below in the second:
    <iframe width=”560″ height=”315″ src=”https://www.youtube.com/embed/kAmqjIajXYI?rel=0″ frameborder=”0″ allowfullscreen></iframe>
This setup works just fine on another site I just completed – and with others. All plugins on the site where it works and where it does not are exactly the same, the memory settings are the same and the permissions are the same. It just makes no sense.

That being said, I’ll just stick with the plugin for now to embed. Thanks for getting back to me though,

Well apparently it is an Enfold / Tiny editor issue. I used a popular plugin (You Tube) to embed and it works just fine.
I still would like to know why this would not work using a standard code embed statement in Enfold.

    Okay, so here’s more details.

This is the console message with only the text “testing” placed in the code block.

Good day. I am sorry you are having this problem. I have been using the Enfold environment for quite a long time and it is rather unlikely that Enfold was the root cause of this. The issue you are having looks like a SQL injection attack to me where any content that is supposed to go to your site gets redirected. There are numerous ways this could happen. It is more likely that your server htaccess file has been overwritten thereby redirecting anything trying to come out of your site. You might want to contact your host and have them check for server penetration first. Just my two cents.

in reply to: Advanced Editor Not Loading After Changes #877593

I used the plain text “testing” in the code block and it showed up just fine. Only got the doubleclick and googleads error below which I am not worried about.

Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of
googleads.g.doubleclick.net/pagead/id Failed to load resource: net::ERR_BLOCKED_BY_CLIENT
static.doubleclick.net/instream/ad_status.js Failed to load resource: net::ERR_BLOCKED_BY_CLIENT

However when I actually try to use the embed shown in my earlier post, I get this console error too:
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 403 (Forbidden) /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php

    What is this?
I have this 1:1, special header and code block inside a color section. Does that even matter – I would think not.

in reply to: Advanced Editor Not Loading After Changes #877526

Jordan, do you have any idea why this is happening? I have the same setup on another site and it seems just fine.

in reply to: Advanced Editor Not Loading After Changes #877310

Hi Jordan, thanks for following up.

Not sure what you mean by console errors. The only thing I get after I load the video embed script is a spinning wheel where the editor should appear after updating. The public page shows the video but I can’t get back into the page on the backend. Just a spinning wheel on reload.

The special header and code block are already in the page at:

in reply to: Strange Plugins Page Notification #866844

Found the culprit => PopUp by Supsystic plugin. As soon as I installed it on another site build, I got the notification.

in reply to: Strange Plugins Page Notification #866239

This is the only site that this has ever loaded on. Once I dismissed, it has not come back. I thought it might have been an Envato added item but I cannot find any trace.

I’ll update the thread if it re-occurs.

unclemurray, would you be using Gravity Forms? I have a suspicion.

    Rikard,

But there are no other themes installed at all.

in reply to: Open Link in lightbox #864107

Hi Jordan. I have tried setting a link as “www.xyz.com/images/dog.jpg?iframe=true” and the lightbox opened up about 400 pixels high with a scrollbar. I removed ?iframe=true and went with a target=_blank instead and a lightbox opened up with the full image in it as expected.

in reply to: Open Link in lightbox #863516

There was never an answer provided to the question: “Can I set any parameters for the Lightbox? with, height, scrollbar and so one?
How can we control the lightbox opening size?

Bingo, perfect again. Thanks for the help. Is there anything else which one should be worried about with the last update? As I said above, it would be nice to NOT have new functionalities introduced which break old designs.

in reply to: Enfold update issues #831181

Hi Yigit, I have disabled country blocking in Wordfence. Please see private content for link.

The cart icon is still jumping to the next line and I have the extra Enfold burger menu which is not needed. If you hover over the misplaced cart icon, the hover content is placed correctly but I think that static Enfold burger menu they threw in is screwing thing up.

    Please advise.

in reply to: Enfold update issues #831167

I was able to fix the extra space issue in the header using a solution provided in:
    https://kriesi.at/support/topic/header-padding-issue/ by Nikko (thanks).

However, in mobile my cart icon is still jumping to the next line.

Seriously, wish newly introduced items would be left in a deactivated state when updating and existing theme.

in reply to: Enfold update issues #831111

That would require corporate clearance to do so and may take some time. I am assuming this has to do with your new mobile menu. This site uses UberMenu. Is there no way I can simply comment out code or disable the “upgraded” hamburger menu If I am using UberMenu anyway? IS this not the point of using a child theme – so I don’t have to worry about system updates adversely affecting my design?

in reply to: Polylang support #823514

I have a site being rebuilt with Enfold now and am facing an issue with the English /home/ page and SEO optimization. Since Polylang requires direct page matches, I cannot have a site root without /home/. Trying to sort this out but is there an option within the Enfold framework to fix this?

Meaning I want to have a root URL of http://www.xyz.com and not http://www.xyz.com/home/. With Polylang it seems I cannot.

You are on the products page. I am talking about the single product page. Click on a product.

in reply to: Product page images #806213

I cannot upload screenshots here as you well know. Anything over 768 pixels they look just fine, drag your browser window to 767 and the photo is huge – it should be much smaller.

in reply to: Product page images #806160

Please see private content link. Thanks in advance for looking into this.

Same issue here as well. I just updated a site which was on 4.0.2 to 4.0.5 and am also getting the “blind” update counter error. I am using an enfold-child setup on this one. The same is happening on other sites where I am NOT using an enfold child. Left admin panel is showing an update available when there is none.

Kindly fix this properly people, this is getting ridiculous!

in reply to: LayerSlider WP #768749

Confirmed on my end as well. Left admin nav and admin top bar still show an update available while there is no actual update. Tried reinstalling WP 4.7.3 and the same. Enfold update reads current 4.0.4. Would you mind getting it right this time?
