I’ve corrected some of them using the workaround by putting a “ ” in the Excerpt field, but it seems pretty silly to be doing that moving forward, when there is obviously a problem going on with the theme.
You can see the problem still occuring here…it happens quite frequently so we would be having to correct a ton of posts:
I don’t think this really helps us, because we don’t actually want any additional text appearing there. We want just the headline, author, and date. Is there anyone else on the team that could take a look? we’ve had this issue with the theme for a while now, and it really doesn’t look good on our site.
Thanks.
September 13, 2021 at 6:11 pm in reply to: Easy Slider – Embedded Youtube Video Unavailable #1320781This reply has been marked as private.Is there any other way to discuss this with you guys? This 24hr delay between every response is really dragging this out. Phone call or video chat? The problem happens inconsistently but it is happening often. I could take you through a few different posts were it is happening on our end. I don’t have a sure way, because it is very inconsistent. Before your update, this never once occurred. My suggestion would be to have a look at various posts and try to preview them, I’m sure it will happen with one of them. They are mostly previewing incorrectly.
Note that a preview does happen. But it does not match the most current post…it previews some of the content, but not all of it. you need to compare in detail and see whether it really is working or not.
3 more examples below.
The odd one works like that, but most posts with more content do not work. Here’s an example of one that will not preview. This is typical of the majority of our posts.
I think you missed my last message. I switch to the Classic Editor and it did not fix the issue. You are welcome to test, I’ve posted the login details in this thread already. This site is used in a college program, all our users are students of the program. This is a huge component of the program and we are currently unable to properly use our own site as a result of your last update. It’s very frustrating.
Tried what you mention anyways, and it did not work. Posts still cannot be properly previewed since the update. I’ve switched it back to the block editor setting for now.
Please let me know if this will be getting fixed soon, this is making our site very difficult to use.
The students really need the block editor though. The whole point of us getting this theme was to use the modular system of the advanced layout editor. It offers so much more. Every post created has used the advanced layout editor.

September 26, 2018 at 12:58 am in reply to: Advanced layout editor not loading one of my pages #1014501Those are not captions displaying, they are titles. I was able to get those working after a lot of finicky trial and error. But still when a caption is added, the whole thing stops displaying on the back end, and the only way to get it back is going backwards to the previous revision.
September 24, 2018 at 10:45 pm in reply to: Advanced layout editor not loading one of my pages #1013879Alright I’ve finally determined what is going on, still not able to find a solution. The problem piece is the fullwidth easy slider. Everything works fine until I try to put in captions on the images. Any captions added in that slider cause the whole editing window to no longer work. This was not the case before, everything on that page worked just fine for several months. I’ve pulled the slider I built and replaced it with a new one of just images, but I do want captions.
What can I do to get this all working again?
September 24, 2018 at 8:36 pm in reply to: Advanced layout editor not loading one of my pages #1013824Ok now a copy worked, but the same thing is occurring. the editor just continually shows that it’s loading. Never loads.
September 24, 2018 at 7:26 pm in reply to: Advanced layout editor not loading one of my pages #1013769So I’ve enabled that mode. Hasn’t helped…it’s not showing any errors. I’m also not able to copy the shortcode to a new page. An error keeps showing up that says
“403Forbidden
Access forbidden to the requested page:
bcitnews.com/wp-admin/post.php (port 80)”I really need this page working again, it needs to be edited. Can you help us get this sorted out? I needed changes to be made last week.
September 17, 2018 at 8:10 pm in reply to: Blog Post Grid Layout – Title, Author, Date display #1010951Thanks, it’s now populating with the correct users, but it is using their username. I need it to populate with the “name” field of each user. This way they student’s full name (first and last name) will display as the author of a given post.
Thank you
This was the original feed I followed. Haven’t changed anything since, and it was working totally fine before:

This reply has been marked as private.First one…I mean I’d really want to be able to customize each slider like we are supposed to be able to do. The coding just isn’t working.
Won’t that change every slider? I only want the one single slider to change, not other ones.
April 26, 2018 at 12:46 am in reply to: Enfold Avia Builder – Image Caption default settings #946963I tried adding it to the functions.php file and it hasn’t changed anything
April 26, 2018 at 12:36 am in reply to: Enfold Avia Builder – Image Caption default settings #946962I do have a child theme setup…Can I add that somehow as a shortcode .php file?
Same thing happens when I try to change something in the Advanced Styling menu…again I’m trying to adjust the font to a size I like. It allowed me to change to Metrophobic, but the size changes I’m making don’t do anything. AND now when I delete the font change to metrophobic, it just stays stuck on that font.
Please note I do have a child theme setup, so if it’s better to create shortcodes for the child theme, perhaps you can help with do that. This quick CSS thing, has so far been very unreliable.
Just try making any changes at all to the quick CSS. You’ll find it doesn’t always respond.
Things I’ve been trying to do are:
-change the main menu font type to Metrophobic
-get rid of the extra spacing below a blog grid layout area (bottom of the “Latest” section on my page and bottom of “Digital Features” section.
-make the main blog post body font size a little larger.
-I also have coding in to create a mouse-hover text for the link headings on my home page…but actually it’s made a hover color for all headings (even un-linked ones), which I didn’t want.Now I’ve deleted the quick CSS text and saved changes. The main menu went back to normal. I tried to re-add the quick CSS text again and it won’t work, it is doing nothing, eventhough it worked perfectly well before.
I am but only this in quick CSS…doesn’t pertain to the main menu text:
h1:hover{
color:#efbb20;
}.big-preview.single-big{
min-width:1500px!important;
}Awesome thanks! Looks great!
Yes I did, still not changing anything.
that didn’t change anything unfortunately
