First, the background is an image that is 1500 X 500 and has been used on other full size backgrounds with no problems; however, here, as you can see by the white-space, for some reason it has been scaled down to a height of 290px. ??? Resolved

Secondly, for the EasySlider on the left, first I specified the size as 495 X 400 from the drop down list; however, no selection seems to do anything. I would also like to be able to have different size columns. On this one here I would like to make the slider column smaller and the text column larger. You responded with the 1/3, 2/3 suggestion, but you didn’t answer why none of the size selections do anything.

Third, I added the text block column and no matter what I select for the style the section has a bordered color background that I don’t want, plus, even if I did want it the box is too small. I also added custom css for the right column to move closer to the left column by adding padding-left:-200px, but, again, that did nothing. I searched exhaustively through all the CSS files, looking for avia-textblock but found nothing. No answer

I might add that in searching for a theme and reviewing your demo the most important design element for me is the ability to have two and three column layouts with images or sliders in one of the columns. Once I know how to do this I can move forward with the site. Sort of answered, but I need to know if the column sizes can be set with custom-css.

Would also be helpful to both of us if we could use colors in our posts.

I entered a reply to a topic and got the Google “Oops” message. I then tried to reload the page and got the same message.

My response was asking for a clarification on the issues with Jetpack. I have used this extensively on other sites because if provides a lot of excellent widgets not found in most themes. After I activated a few of the more popular widgets and went to the widget area, not one of them showed up as available. This is a hugely popular plug-in and I can’t imagine it is not compatible with Enfold.

That didn’t work because the text size is different in each box; however, this did work:

This placed the read more button at the bottom regardless of the amount of text above.

If you look at this section you will also see something I managed to create and I would suggest be a feature request. I wanted the semi-transparent background behind each box with a background image for the section. With some playing around I managed to add the transparent backgrounds to my background image to get the effect; however, it would be great to be able to specify a background for each text box.

Loving the theme the more I use it!

Adding the code you showed below crashed my site. I followed the link you suggested and added this code –

I’ve been researching sites that use your theme as well as other “flat design” sites. One feature I really like is the panels that change to show information on mouseover. This site – http://www.plusplusminus.co.za/ has many examples of what I want to do.

Being new to Enfold, is there any tutorials on how to get this effect? I just need a starting point to be able to figure out how to do this as I think I will be making extensive use of this feature.

If I can ask you a related question. I downloaded this video and called it background_video.mp4. I went into the HomePage9 and first attempted to upload the video, but got an error. The video is 3.3MB so I don’t know what the problem was but I kept getting the error, so I used FTP to upload the file.

Then I went in and edited the “full screen” slider, adding the URL for the video. When I went to preview the changes I got the “are you sure you want to do this?” message, which normally means “no” because something is wrong. I then tried to “update” the page and got the same message. I then deleted the full-screen slider and instead added the video URL to the color section and it worked! http://www.prismcareernetworks.com/prism_wordpress/homepage/home-v9-videos-and-parallax/

Does any of that make sense?

Thanks, Devin. There’s nothing on your site I didn’t look at, but I can’t believe there was not a word on the support forum or your documentation stating that WMV files weren’t supported. That alone would have saved me hours.

Do you have a good source for blurred video backgrounds? I’ve looked everywhere and can’t find anything to use. Blue is my primary color on the site so I’m looking for something complimentary. Where did you get the underwater one?

Also, I have now spent about three hours trying to use a video I downloaded as a background. I gone through pages and pages of your support notes on the subject but I can’t find what I assume is a simple answer. I’m creating a new page, but in the selection boxes for a background I only see color or image. Nothing about using a video. Appreciate your help on this.
