This is probably stupid question, but I have been battling an issue where at one point the product grid on the shop page would show the non-cropped version of images, but somewhere over the last couple months, it must have switched to the cropped version. Because we had been working on other aspects of the site, we did not notice it, but now that we have, we cannot figure out when and where it changed. I have gone through every setting I can find in WP, WC and Enfold, and while I can affect some things, I cannot figure out how (or even why) it would want the cropped version.

What setting do you have for cropping in Appearance > Customize > WooCommerce > Product Images? If you have “uncropped” it sounds very much like the same problem I and several others have reported.

Thank you for the inquiry.
@Jason E: Martin (@martin_e83) provided a solution in the following thread (link below). You can use that snippet to override the theme’s product thumbnail configuration and revert the thumbnail size back to default.
