Hello, I got a message from a client this am saying their site was all messed up. I went to their site and the hero element was no longer visible, and their mega menu with images was all messed up. I quickly restored a backup from a previous day that had the proper site showing. Temporary fix, but I really want to prevent something like this in the future.
I’m not sure if its relating to the theme or not, but any help is appreciated. I’ve included a screen recording of the issue in the private content.
Thanks in advance

May 6, 2019 at 6:01 pm #1097770I’ve placed the site in maintenance mode.
May 7, 2019 at 7:02 am #1097961Hi,
I had a look at your site but it seems to be loading fine on my end, the login details you provided are not working so I couldn’t check the backend.
Best regards,

Tabbed section elements on this page:
Doing this? Total craptastic collision. Client is freaking out, people are suffering, money is being lost.
https://prnt.sc/nldzdtWhy does this keep happening out of the blue without any alteration? What external base64 encrypted external js calls are causing this theme to disintegrate?
Adding insult to injury, theme will not update
https://prnt.sc/nldyrtPlease provide facts, details, what you changed. Do not lie, I mean it; I need answers, not lies.
Landing revolution slider that came with theme also does not update. This is turning out very bad.
May 8, 2019 at 4:48 am #1098251Hi nationalintel,
I see that you are running an old version of the theme, could you try to update to the latest version (4.5.6) to see if that helps please? The update to 4.5.x has to be done manually from the version you are running, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541
You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/
If that doesn’t work then please try to delete the whole theme folder, then replace it with the new version. Make sure that you have backups of the site before starting updating.
After you have updated then try to activate the Classic Editor in the main page of the theme options.
Also please read this after you have updated: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/
Best regards,
Rikard -
