When trying to update enfold from the old version v.3.8.5 to the new version 4.5.4 I get the following error messages. I have updated php from 5.5 to 7.2 today and updated WordPress to the current version. What can I do to update Enfold as well?

Sorry for the problem. The update to 4.5 has to be done manually from the version you are running, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541
You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/
If that doesn’t work then please delete the old version of the theme, then upload the new one. Make sure that you have backups of the site before you start updating.

Just one short question: If I export the enfold theme setting file and then do the update manually, do you think the import of the theme setting file will run without complications, meaning the old settings file is totally compatible with the new theme?
That would be good to know, since I’m not a programmer, and in case the styles are not working anymore it would put a lot of stress on me.
