Hello,

I got the message there is a update for the enfold theme. I have two websites with the theme enfold (two licenses as well).
But when I try to instal the update (WordPress dashboard ) I get this message

Er deed zich een fout voor tijdens het updaten Enfold: Download mislukt. De opgegeven URL is ongeldig.

There was an error during the update download, download failed the specified url is invalid.

Sorry I am a computer dummy so what to do now?

I have Tow licenses voor two times the enfold theme for the two websites I have running.

Please can you help me out?

Hi Hanneke

That error message sounds very Dutch to me ;) But I see you translated it as well…

Anyway, I guess you are currently using Enfold 4.4 so in this update, you need to update manually via (S)FTP or by using a plugin such as https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file
As I prefer the FTP method, I described it in detail here https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-update-via-wp-dashboard-fails/#post-1022202

Sorry for the problem. The update to 4.5 has to be done manually unfortunately, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541

You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/

Hi Rikard,

Sorry I have to ask you again….
I tried the options you suggested.
To instal the plugin to instal with the zipfile. Sounds easy…but when I download enfold from the website…I get al lot of folders but no zipfile?
I don’t dear to try it with the FTP way.

Please can you tell me where I can find the zipfile and try it with the plugin…

Hi,
You can download the zip file by going to your Theme Forest account and choosing the download option “Installable WordPress file only”.

If this doesn’t help, please include a admin login and ftp access in the private content area so we can assist.
