    Hi,

    Many time I tried to update tot Enfold 4.5, but I seem to fail when uploading theme tells me: ‘link no longer available’. I follow your instructions as explained in the forum.
    I note I don’t get a notification of the theme when an update is available. Does that have anything to do with this issue? Your documentation didn’t bring me any further concerning this issue,

    Hey Leo,

    Sorry for the problem. The update to 4.5.x has to be done manually unfortunately, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541

    You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/

    Thanks! I wanted to register by ‘Enter a valid Envato private token’ at the page of the theme update, but there is no such thing mentioned on that page.
    I made a printscreen to send to you, but there is no possibility to send a file…Instead I just copy and paste:

    Update your Theme from the WordPress Dashboard
    If you want to get update notifications for your themes and if you want to be able to update your theme from your WordPress backend you need to enter your Themeforest account name as well as your Themeforest Secret API Key below:

    Your Themeforest User Name
    Enter the Name of the User you used to purchase this theme

    Your Themeforest API Key
    Enter the API Key of your Account here.

    You can find your API Key here

    Theme Updates

    Hi Leo,

    The token field was introduced in version 4.5, so if you are still using 4.4.1 then you won’t see it. It doesn’t really matter though since you need to update manually from that version anyway. Did you try to update using the plugin I linked to in my previous reply? You can also update manually like I mentioned in the same reply.

    Yes, the past months I thried uploading by using the plugin manually, but after 100% upload it keeps telling me ‘the link is no longer valid. I don’t see an answer to that problem in the threads and documentation?

    Hi Leo,

    Yes that happens on some installations unfortunately, it’s likely due to the max_execution_time setting on your server. I’m guessing you don’t want to mess with that yourself so we can help you to update the theme. If you want us to update for you then please post WordPress and FTP login details in private and verify that you have proper backups of your site in case something should go wrong.

    Hi Leo,

    Thanks for that, though we need FTP login details, not details for your hosting company backend interface. My dutch isn’t very good so I can’t really find my way in there. Please post FTP login details in private as well.
